Despite his departure...ignoring Leonard is kind of silly.
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostDespite his departure…ignoring Leonard is kind of silly.
Lol meant the 2003 team that won the chip
Leonard would be 3rd and Bowen would be ahead of Jackson now if it’s all time Spurs
By alt sy Go To PostFor some reason I thought this was thibs' first year coaching the wolves lol
How can you forget the JPEGs of Thibs bringing in pizza for the ticket sales office after the successful procurement of Butler.
Wonder what Thibs can pull off this offseason to warrant another round of ticket sales and pizza party.
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostDespite his departure…ignoring Leonard is kind of silly. If you're talking all time, which wasn't the topic, you're sillier for not talking about Gervin before Kawhi.
Leonard 3rd all time? Sigh.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI mean Taylor is horrific so it's not surprisingOh, he's a bottom-5 owner, but can he really stomach what's going to happen on Monday? Training camp is gonna start and Thibs will be embroiled in a Butler hold out and a public feud with Towns and Wiggins.
Luckily for Taylor, the countdown isn't really to Monday. October 15th is the deadline for a Towns extension. That's plenty of time to fire Thibs and trade Butler. Lord willing.
By DY_nasty Go To Postwatch thibs trade kat instead
Now there's a discussion Lakers should get involved in.
Ingram + Lonzo for KAT asap.
And hit 'em with the Rajon Rondo line, "You have fine minutes to decide."

Taylor is 77...is his son in line to take over ownership?

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostTaylor is 77…is his son in line to take over ownership? His kids seem to have zero interest in the team and aren't all that involved in his businesses anymore. He tried to sell several years ago, but the deal fell through and he decided to just keep it. So it's more likely he just cashes out in the next few years since he'll get a cool billion for the Wolves now.
By unknown Go To PostHow does one take revenge on a lack of defense
By DY_nasty Go To PostButler ain't worth all this. He's nice, but not give up talent nice. Not lead young guys nice either. For Frank and Lee? I'd do that in a heartbeat tho... NY has been missing out on all-stars wanting to go there since Melo forced his way there. David Fizdale needs something to work with or else the Knicks will give up on him too soon.
NY ain't wrong tbh

By DY_nasty Go To PostHow does one take revenge on a lack of defenseBy having an oversized/all defensive point guard playing by your side.

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence.
By unknown Go To Postthey make the same mistakes with stars before trying to take shortcuts. knicks wont give up on him since they understated the situation. Please the situation hasn't been any different since Mike D was the coach. I don't really know what kinda short cut it would be... a star wants to go and the asking price isn't that high... He would be a good fit with KP when he comes back, and can carry the team while KP is gone. All while making the Knicks look more attractive next offseason
This is the Wolves trying to claim they have some tiny bit of leverage in this situation. It's wrong, but I can't knock the hustle. Also, Glen, do something.
By Doncicic Go To PostWest is too smart to go for Butler.Depends if he could unload a bad contract to get him
With all those leaks coming out now... Yeah Jimmy Butler is an asshole and a team cancer.
It's a shame considering how hard he works and how good of a player he is, the way he treats others.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIf I'm Presti I'm trying to see what I can do to get Butler to OKC. Butler cares a lot about winning, I can't see him saying no to an extension with OKC over location. Maybe a three team deal, send Schroeder to Phoenix, pick from OKC to Minny, A player from Phoenix to Minny, Butler to OKC?Ok i've seen some shit. But enabling Buttler to a in conference team?
Jazz have done a really nice job with branding these last few years.
By giririsss Go To PostOk i've seen some shit. But enabling Buttler to a in conference team?for nothing too... the Suns aren't going to give up any thing of value for chicken chest...and everything else on the roster is 💩
i mean...your other best player hates the guy and the dude who you are paying 150 is getting into beef w/ JAAAX due to him...
seems like you gotta make moves regardless.
seems like you gotta make moves regardless.
It's the only card Thibodeau can play, which is why Taylor needs to step in and cut his losses on both. There's zero to gain from Thibs keeping his job for an extra few months and then having to fire him and watch Butler leave in free agency anyway.
I'm sorry rodeo but it's not bad enough yet

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24753358/minnesota-timberwolves-rebuffing-jimmy-butler-trade-calls
Thibodeau doesn't want to trade Butler, especially in a scenario that imperils the franchise's ability to reach the playoffs for a second straight year after missing the postseason the previous 13 seasons, league sources said.If Taylor isn't sure Thibs is the right guy long term, he cannot possibly let him make this decision. I know the Wolves are among the worst run teams in sports, but oh my god. You gotta eat the money, man. Taylor is worth $3B. Cut the check.
Because of Thibodeau's uncertain long-term status with ownership, Taylor could have a different view on how to handle the trade request given the possibility that Butler could leave Minnesota in summer free agency without the Wolves getting back the kind of assets that would come with a trade.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI don't even know if the market for Jimmy is even that good tbhOh, the return is going to be 25 cents on the dollar because they have no leverage. Nobody in the league believes they're content to just hold on to Butler and let him walk in a year that's a disaster.
Media day is Monday. Thibs is seriously gonna get up in front of reporters for 45 minutes and try to convince everybody he's got this when Butler isn't there, the rest of the roster doesn't want to play for him, and Towns still hasn't signed an extension? Why can't this team ever been normal?
