Finally, the obvious choice for head coach emerges:
This would almost be worth the 37 win season.
Percy "Master P" Miller would like to put his name into the ring for the vacant head-coaching position with the Toronto Raptors.
"I think I would be the perfect coach for Toronto because I understand the team, I understand the players," he told TMZ Sports. "Toronto has two All-Stars. And you look at it right now and it's like, you should've went farther [in the playoffs]."
This would almost be worth the 37 win season.

Rodeo's suffering is eternal
“No question that they are interested in bringing Rose back,” Krawczynski wrote in his weekly mailbag. “(Coach Tom Thibodeau) certainly heard plenty of questions when he first brought Rose in. But in that role as a combo guard off the bench, Rose was good. He played solid defense, scored well and was a great teammate. There is no question Rose is interested in continuing to play for Thibs.”

But Toronto is Drake's team.
Master P to coach New Orleans, Drake for Toronto, and Ty Lue will replaced by all of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
We're not against rap, we're not against raptors...
If Master P wants to run the pre-game and in-game entertainment part of the Pels operation, I'm all for that.

By blackace Go To PostMinny has always had a problem with getting FA…Too bad their GM sucks as bad as the coachThey had all the money last year and the pitch of "come play with Jimmy Butler and Karl Towns" and all Thibs did was sign dudes he knew. The problem wasn't Minnesota, it was the dude in charge.
If the post-season didn't give it away to everybody, Thibs genuinely does not know who is good on his own team. He was experimenting with rotations in a playoff series. Like, he looks at Tyus and just sees a dude he thinks is too short to play NBA defense (this is true, by the way).

its not too late to trade jimmy for youth pieces
Been looking at some of the previous years' drafts, and man, Cleveland sure has utterly blown every lottery pick they've had after Kyrie. They literally could have drafted/signed a lineup of Kyrie/Klay/Lebron/Greek Freak/Embiid, with Damian Lillard off the bench.

New York Knicks | Likely spot: No. 9I don't like the perception that the Knicks decided on Ntilikina already, which isn't true. I think Knicks should look at Mikal Bridges because you need to keep adding long freakish defenders at this point, look at the Celts who trot out a ton of scorers who can switch everything AND score. It's a better complement to the Ntilikina pick.
No. 1 pick odds: 1.7 percent | Top-3 pick odds: 6.1 percent
If they land in the top three, they should pick …
No. 1: Deandre Ayton
No. 2: Luka Doncic
No. 3: Jaren Jackson Jr.
Most likely pick: Collin Sexton | PG | Alabama
With the growing realization that Frank Ntilikina is best as a defensive-minded off guard, the Knicks and newly-appointed head coach David Fizdale could use a PG of the future to put pressure on the rim and form a 1-2 scoring punch with Kristaps Porzingis.
Sexton is an ideal candidate as one of the draft's best penetrators with the burst to dice up defenses and the mentality to thrive in New York City. His extreme focus and on-court competitiveness could fit perfectly in the NYC pressure-cooker. The Knicks could also consider a 3-and-D style wing like Mikal Bridges or an explosive small-ball 4 like Miles Bridges to slot next to Porzingis in a more modern lineup. – Schmitz
I had kind of assumed Messina was quietly waiting out Pop in San Antonio, but I guess you can’t make assumptions that a job is going to just be there for you in X # of years, so much can happen. And if Kawhi leaves, who knows if it’s even still the better gig?
Assistant coach Mike Woodson will not return to the Los Angeles Clippers staff next season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.Am I going to have to bust out the old Woodson 2K avatar again?
Per Woj, "Woodson's departure off Doc Rivers' bench will create an opening for a top-level, defensive-minded assistant." As for Woodson, it's possible that he may join David Fizdale's staff in New York. Woodson gave Fizdale his first NBA bench job back in 2004, when Woodson was the head coach of the Hawks
So we got Woodson and Keith Smart most likely. I'm cool with that but I'd like them to hire an analytics guy too.

I've been making fun of this concept to "ease" Frank into the PG role since Day 1. It's only gotten worse.

Nothing wrong with that. You want to at least be in the top 10.
By s y 2.0 Go To PostStill flabbergasted that Memphis didn't trade Tyreke for a second(or Marc Gasol)I doubt anyone would have offered anything worth a shit for Gasol. That plus given how shitty the West was this year outside of Houston and GSW they have convinced themselves that with Conley back and scoring Doncic will get them back into the playoff race.
The Tyreke thing IDK. But it was weird how after all that they played him like a game after the deadline then shut him down.

If you're talking about Ntilikinas minutes then no shit, I've been complaining about his minutes all year. It actually is hard for a coach to give a rookie pg minutes if you win a little at the beginning of the year and you think you've found the secret formula for keeping your job, namely riding Jarrett Jack. I'm hoping that's one of the reasons Hornacek got fired.
