This looks more fun than the sitcom on ABC set in Boston about the wacky roommates where one guy thinks the world is flat and the other guy always has to dodge questions about his right wing twitter follows.

How surprised were you when Boogie signed with the Warriors?
Anthony Davis: I mean, I'm happy for him. He did what he did. He chose the right team for his career right now with his injury, I'm assuming. I wish the best of luck to him and we'll see him three maybe four times this year, and try to beat him. Now he's the enemy. Anybody who's not on the Pelicans is an enemy to me. He went from a teammate to an enemy.
By Fenderputty Go To PostTell me more about Lebron staying in Cleveland.
"Know no matter if I'm playing in Los Angeles or not, Akron, Ohio is always home for me. Always."
Bron is the GOAT. I can't deny this anymore. Kareem of our era.
After his performance this past postseason and all his continual accomplishments off the court I can't hate him and say fuck Bron like you say fuck Kobe.
Bron after the age of 30 is the GOAT.

By RobNBanks Go To PostSmh I know Kawhi had all this drama this offseason but lets not forget he had the Spurs up by 20 against GS before they sent Zaza to goon him out the series. That injury to Kawhi has elevated his career to stratospheric heights.
Damn LeBron is the man. Rooting against him is what got me into basketball in the first place but I can't deny that he's seemingly a great human being.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlocking up bron and getting finals mvp did that tbhThat and him stealing every All-Star's offensive moves in the 2016 postseason while defending got him superstar status.
His improvement year on year and his production on offense and defense is really special.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlocking up bron and getting finals mvp did that tbhYet no one mentions those.
Just that game he got injured in.
Just mythical.

he was arguably the best two way player in the league that year too

we talking about klay now?

Nah, people mention it because they actually think that it means anything, and that he'd defeat the Warriors 5 v 1.
Fact is, it's just another injury in a long line of them for the guy.
Another, is that he was in that conversation of best 2 way players. And top 5 player in the league.
But that game doesn't really mean shit.
There is no real argument against Kawhi from being a top 5 player or one of the best 2 way players tho...
By pilonv1 Go To Postwe talking about klay now?Come on you clown me for saying that Klay is a top 10, top 15 player but you come with this.
I don't even believe that he's the best two-way in the league in 2014

By blackace Go To PostThere is no real argument against Kawhi from being a top 5 player or one of the best 2 way players tho…Just depends on if you factor in the injury and the unknowns it brings. I wouldn't totally dismiss saying he was 6th either.
By diehard Go To PostJust depends on if you factor in the injury and the unknowns it brings. I wouldn't totally dismiss saying he was 6th either.Anthony Davis has played in three more regular season games than Kawhi despite coming into the league a year later.

Otherwise, yeah, this year and beyond it's all entirely health dependent for such an injury plagued guy.
By Kibner Go To PostAnthony Davis has played in three more regular season games than Kawhi despite coming into the league a year later.Well tbf Leonard sat out all but 9 games last season...
The only real knock on the guy imo is how he handled leaving the Spurs..

By DY_nasty Go To Postinjury plaguedNot that many games they aren't.
like the spurs aren't known for resting players constantly lol
Unless he was on rest for 73 games last year?
By giririsss Go To PostNot that many games they aren't.he basically just sat out... don't get it twisted

since kawhi has been in the league the only 3 players on the spurs to play 80 games a season are patty mills, danny green, and forbes lol
last year he sat out, cool. pop has been sitting his starters so frequently that the league has directly fined the spurs multiple times so it aint like people just making it up. the spurs were resting players long before it was fashionable.

Guy has missed large swathes of time due to injuries.
Even with all that rest.
By giririsss Go To PostWhy are you even talking about games he rested?you've been watching the nba long enough to know guys get dnp'd for anything from flu like symptoms to never ending back spasms lol

good teams do it. tanking teams do it. and large swathes.... if you got energy for kawhi you need some for jimmy butler and beal too if you want to be consistent
Kawhi is probably between the 3rd to 5th best player when healthy, not sure the exact comparison between him and AD and Curry.
But you could argue him down to 8 when healthy as well if you really like Westbrook, Harden, or CP3 I guess.
I would definitely not put him below Westbrook or Harden of course, but those two guys did win MVP.

Haven't followed Buttler's history, but Beale certainly was injury prone. Haven't paid enough attention the last 2 years to know if it's still a thing.
By Kibner Go To PostYeah, and AD didn't play any games during Kawhi's rookie year.
To stoke the fire a bit more, you can also pull the rest card with AD if you really wanted to. Considering they basically shut him down the other season for the last 13 games. Though, while technically injured, he clearly could of got healthy enough to play through the torn labrum he had been playing through if they were in playoff contention. They just decided to call it because the season was over.
By diehard Go To Postdang, Klay has played 40% more total minutes than Kawhi so farnot dribbling is going to extend his career a solid decade
