By The Frankman Go To PostThe FUCK?because you are firing the coach?
WHY WOULD YOU EVEN DO THAT?
By blackace Go To Postbecause you are firing the coach?
Yea but there's a professional way to do this and the Trump way to do this.

By giririsss Go To PostHiring Dan is a BC Move.them years going by quickly right?
By blackace Go To PostCasey in Philly seems like a BC moveI don't think he could sell that one. It has to be a franchise that would just be happy to make the playoffs and not have half-empty arenas anymore.

By blackace Go To Postthem years going by quickly right?Dunno what that means... but I have a pretty low opinion of BC.
Dan D`Antoni is a stupid risky move from the outside. But they have History. And BC isn't a great deep thinker. So ...

Larry Brown's phone still works
By Randolph Freelander Go To PostLarry Brown's phone still wirksIt passed the call to the wrong person in the house. So he's been working on breaking it down for the last 5 years.
It no longer works.
One thing I would look forward to in a new coach is someone who uses JV better, he was really good in this series but had 16 minute games and only averaged 24 mpg in the playoffs as a whole. Casey's never fully trusted him. He's never been great at defending the pick & roll, and he might be one of those guys whose efficiency falls off a cliff after 25 mins (but how would anyone know?) but he's got such a nice touch in the paint that he can straight up dominate for stretches. But they always go away from that when the other team makes an adjustment, then forget he exists for the rest of the game. There's got to be more you can get out of a guy like that.
By giririsss Go To PostDunno what that means… but I have a pretty low opinion of BC.

By giririsss Go To PostHe'll be waiting years then. Unless you mean colangelo's job alone.Means Brett most likely getting fired like I said...Doubt he brings in Dan for anything but an ast tho
By blackace Go To PostMeans Brett most likely getting fired like I said…Doubt he brings in Dan for anything but an ast thoI still doubt Browns gone. It puts too much direct heat on BC himself. And that's not how he operates.
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostFuck. This.Enh. It means another lost season, but you'll likely get a clean wire to wire tank which means another top 5 pick to pair with him.
By giririsss Go To PostI still doubt Browns gone. It puts too much direct heat on BC himself. And that's not how he operates.BC was inplanted by his dad, who was implanted by the NBA. He's pretty teflon.

By knux-future Go To PostBC was inplanted by his dad, who was implanted by the NBA. He's pretty teflon.Right. Back then they were under the pump from all the other owners and the NBA for deliberately losing games.
They aren't now. And BC has a history of walking into assets and turning them into not much.
And if the owners are walking in and firing coaches than BC is on the chopping block too anyway.
By giririsss Go To PostRight. Back then they were under the pump from all the other owners and the NBA for deliberately losing games.BC is safe for at least 3 years and most likely would want to go down with his staff and roster rather than an inherited one

Can't remember the last time an ACL injury had a player out the entire following season. Granted, KP is a big guy. Either way, that's not good.
By s y 2.0 Go To PostCan't remember the last time an ACL injury had a player out the entire following season. Granted, KP is a big guy. Either way, that's not good.Depending on the tear, they take 6 - 9 months. Also can depend on how they replace it (where they get the new tendon material).
he tore it fairly late? And as he is the only player of note on the whole roster, their season would be done by January.

By Fenderputty Go To PostWhere’s the new loser bros? It's going to be awkward seeing Pilon in here before Smokey, K. Jack, and Kuma.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostAlso Frasier doesn't know anything. I'm pretty sure if you tore your acl back in his day you died.

By DY_nasty Go To Postmaybe just maybe they'll stop with all that perimeter nonsense with KP nowSomeone on this page said he should have played the 3 more.
By giririsss Go To PostSomeone on this page said he should have played the 3 more.where?

By DY_nasty Go To Postmaybe just maybe they'll stop with all that perimeter nonsense with KP nowHe wasn't even really on the perimeter that much this year he got most of his 3's in transition/early offense, Hornacek had him isoing in the mid post a lot (in Melo's old spots). He played like a modern 4, he wasn't strong enough to be a full time 5. Maybe that changes when he comes back but seeing what Fizdale tried to do with the bigs in Memphis I doubt he's gonna have KP on the perimeter less when he comes back (if he still works there).
edit: and I'm pretty sure Frank was being sarcastic

its flat out not worth it. there's nothing modern 4 about what KP was doing lol
By “Marc Stein”May 9, 2018https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/09/sports/nba-dwane-casey-raptors-coach-of-the-year.html
Dwane Casey of the Toronto Raptors has been selected as the National Basketball Coaches Association’s Coach of the Year for the 2017-18 season, according to two people with knowledge of the voting.
Note that this is an award voted on by the league’s 30 head coaches, and is different from the NBA award.

I remember his first season where he literally would play everywhere, even when Fisher did his "get in the post the whole quarter" stuff. You'd see him at the 3, the 4, and the 5 (when they could get away with it) with Carmelo at the 4. I liked the idea of keeping him versatile and trying to hunt mismatches, but over time him playing the 3 became less of a possibility. He's not KG, he's not Anthony Davis and and mobility-wise he's not even young Gallo. He's 7'3 and needs to be able to use that size/mobility closer to the hoop.
Is Sam Presti's job safe? We watched him turn KD Harden and Ibaka into Steven Adams and Flabmelo...am I forgetting someone cause....😬
By Moris Go To PostIs Sam Presti's job safe? No, because we're one Paul George free agency deal away from Westbrook getting real complainy.
By The Frankman Go To PostHalf sarcasm.I don't understand what you're saying here. Hes not that mobile so you want him matched up against 3s? Huh? KP is a 4 right now, he can play spot minutes at the 5 (and be very effective against certain players) but he's not strong enough to do it full time. Others teams are putting big 3s on him and he still cant establish position deeper than the midpost, he just got strong enough that teams cant get away with putting guards on him. He's not that dude (yet).
