By Kibner Go To PostNearly anything is better than Skiles.I am just naming coaches who have worked with BC before... He will look for an offensive minded coach for sure
You also have morons calling for Spo's head.
Brown saw them to 52 wins. The second round. With a rookie PG. One no.1 overall pick benched the whole season. And Covington as their third option.

Never seen a coach who's accomplished so little get praised as much as Spo has. He's Filipino Steve Clifford.

Del Harris got fired after winning 61 games and getting swept by the Jazz in the WCF.
They were missing a number 1 pick but they about to get swept by a team missing two max contract starters and another starter in Brown. They too much talent to be getting swept

COTY Awards:
Skiles: 0
The Smitch
Scott Skiles is a nobody confirmed.
The Smitch won that thing coaching Chris Bosh and a roll of duct tape.
Still think y'all are tripping.
Brown has had so many positive media pieces this year. Their first season with 2 of their actual pieces healthy and they make the 2nd round.
Yeah, he loses to to Stevens. It aint a great look. But the key pieces are on their first trip to the play offs. Let alone the 2nd round.
If BC tried to fire BB he'd be putting his neck on the chopping block next, after the year they just had, and the turn around.

Brown job is safe. Takes awhile to learn how to win in the playoffs. I seen it first hand.
What taking Charlotte so long to hard Jay Larranaga. Dude a hell of an assistant coach. Does a lot of work with the players over the summer and after practice

By blackace Go To PostHow about playoff series won?Bargnanis: Smitch 1, Skiles 0.
Skiles got 2 Smitch got 0…
skiles was doing okay on the magic (team was like 17-12 through december) and then decided he hated elfrid payton so much that it wasn't worth it so he quit trying in january and walked away in may
Honestly though, I seriously doubt BC lets him go, he knows exactly how this GM thing goes. You get one free coaching hire, and if you need to fire that guy and make a second then management and the media start questioning your wisdom hard.
So if you inherit a coach, unless he’s trashing your franchise you let that guy linger, because that gets you through a couple of years and closer to a 2nd contract yourself.

Good. It's pretty clear giving Doc, SVG, Bud, etc those full-on job responsibilities was a mistake. Or maybe they were given to the wrong people.

By livefromkyoto Go To PostHonestly didn’t think they’d do it, just pare back his responsibilities. The major owner preferred that path, but it seems the rest of the FO / ownership didn't.
Wojnarowski reported last week that Pistons owner Tom Gores wanted Van Gundy to remain the team’s head coach, “but would prefer for that scenario to include structural changes to the franchise’s front office,” in which Van Gundy has had final say on all personnel matters. (The Los Angeles Clippers went through a similar reorganization last summer, with owner Steve Ballmer stripping Doc Rivers of his personnel role, but keeping him on the bench as the Clips’ head coach.) In a Monday statement announcing the move, Gores noted that Van Gundy wanted to stay on, but that the Pistons chose to let him go regardless.

By blackace Go To PostBud going to look at that Det job?didn't finish the article (long) but no potentials were listed that i saw (Apart from the Barry one above).
If Budd did go for it, it would be without the FO powers.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostBudd needs to take time off until a good job opens upi thought the bucks job was legit until i read about the ownership switching hands every 5 years or so. fuck that
Nothing really good out there right now.
By blackace Go To PostPretty sure most jobs will be that going forward for himI don't see any coaches getting it again. The experiments seem to have failed.
I think we (the general public) underestimate how much work goes into being a HC.
The guys work some pretty insane hours.

I kinda think Bud is a solid coach but maybe not one who can take years off... unless he is willing to be an ast again
