I honestly see more talent in that roster than the shitfest they put up today.

They don't have any bigs that are worth much of anything yet. But That was a hiding. They didn't look ready.

Watson could be in the hot seat in 10 games though.

I hate when coaches get blamed for everything, but we what we saw tonight was 100% on the coaching staff. I don't care what the talent level on the team is, it is still a team of 12 guys that are professional basketball players and to open at home and lose by 50 is pathetic. I watched all the preseason games and the team looked like a mess in all of them, they only looked like an nba team against the australian team.

Watson would probably be a good assistant coach to motivate players, but from a system and play perspective he has no idea what he is doing and it is reflected on how the team has played. These young guys aren't learning a damn thing from him.

There have been more new coaches and fewer retreads recently than I can remember in a while. There are also more coaches being mentioned in Coach of the Year conversations.

Those old-head head coaches are now usually hired on as assistants for the new guys.

Shai maybe. I'm gonna have to see Miles be good in the league to believe it.

this draft is full of high level role players.

with Ayton and Doncic being the only guys with obvious star potential. However Ayton may be Big Man Andrew Wiggins and Doncic has to overcome the sins of Mario, Exum, and all of the other recent euro wing stars.....so yeaaaah.

People like the potential of Jaren Jackson (Long, block shots, has a jumper, and stuff), Shai has potential as a tall ball handler which is always useful but MCW tho. Trey Young could be great as his teammates were dookie but then again, he got shut down by future Chinese all stars with ease. Bagley is an enigma as he could be Amare like but also could be super Thomas Robinson. Sexton is a slower Fox IMO...but also could be another Mudiay type. Both Bridges will be solid starters IMO with Mikal being a better defender and Miles having more highlights...but you don't tank for either. Bamba is long and stuff and blocks shots...i guess.

Lots of nice prospects but lord knows I am glad I am not a GM who have to tie my career to any of them being stars tho. This is a draft in which you try to find a Giannis type and hope you are smart...

So what's the consensus on Porter Jr? If his back is good, what is his comp?
