Glad to hear he's okay, but...
Aren't MRIs usually done the next day so the swelling won't ruin the test?

I'm guessing the Pelicans don't have their own MRI scanner so they decided to do it in Portland while they had the chance.
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostFirst round loss, just like the playoffs last year.
Jeff, CP3 is gone. Please let go of your anger. :(
You too, dIEHARD. :(
Damn you guys are harsh on Wiggins. I think this is the year he takes the next step up. I think if Wolves fail it’s more of an indictment on Thibs than anyone else.

Just making a joke about how cheap that franchise is, sorry I didn't check the schedule bruh. I'm sure the Saints staff will have AD back in tip top shape asap.

The initial news is good at least. Would hate to see another player, especially one like AD, go down for the year.
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostFirst round loss, just like the playoffs last year.maybe the jazz can play against the clips B team again to get a win. great achievement.
By Dante Go To PostDamn you guys are harsh on Wiggins. I think this is the year he takes the next step up. I think if Wolves fail it’s more of an indictment on Thibs than anyone else. It's possible that both ideas can be true. Thibs is bad at his job and Wiggins isn't good.
I expect the Wolves to stumble this year and that is on Thibs, who has been both a bad GM and a bad coach for a myriad of reasons I've complained about over the last year and a half. Last year, he was able to get the team back on track after the 6-18 start by admitting that Wiggins wasn't the offensive cornerstone that he wanted and that what these guys actually needed was Rubio running an offense. He doesn't have Rubio anymore by his own hand, so what happens when he has that same realization again this year?
I don't think they'll be anywhere near as good as the media thinks but for different reasons, i just don't think the pieces fit and their issues with shooting and a lack of a decent bench obviously. Also i noticed against OKC that they take ages to get into their sets, which is obviously on Teague and Thibs.
I don't know how much of their offensive problems start with Teague. I don't think he's good, but he's also being shoved into that spot that Rubio had for the first 25 games last year where he's only really allowed to bring the ball up and has to stand around watching after that. They only use Teague to facilitate after the set Thibs really wanted to run (probably an isolation or a post up) falls apart.
The Wolves offensive woes are rooted in this core Thibs belief that isolation is winning basketball. He wasn't enamored with Rubio because Rubio needs the ball when what he really wants to see is Towns, Wiggins, and Butler taking turns in iso or posting up.

Hey dudes, I was having a chat with one of my homies the other day after he showed up on Facebook and linked a video of one of those interview segments or episodes or whatever that Mark Cuban had on that FOX News channel where the TMZ guy tries to be a hard hitting Larry King impersonator or whatever. You guys know what I'm talking about? Anyway, I don't know if you all saw it or whatever but it was interesting how he waffled back and forth like a motherfucker about whether he is going to run for fucking president or not. I mean, I don't know your guys' feeling on it but I would personally love it if Mark Cuban ran for president because literally anything would be better than Trump, let's be honest. The best part about that interview was when Mark said, if he had to choose party affiliation, he would rather just primary Trump because he sways more Republican on fiscal issues even though he's more socially liberal than most Republicans. Whatever, I don't really care because I feel like the country has a better chance of succeeding at primary'ing Trump than trusting the fucked up Democrats to get anything right ever again.
Anyway, long story short, my friends was getting hyped too cuz he hates Trump too, but I just had to ruin the moment by mentioning how I wish it were Gregg Popovich running for president one day instead, cuz let's be honest, nobody's had the balls to go harder at Trump than Pop. Well, maybe Stan Van Gundy kind of did, but he's more Vice President material anyway, in my opinion. Anyway, it soured the mood because my friend for some reason really doesn't like Pop, like at all, no matter what. I probably should've left it alone but I kept prodding him to explain himself, and this is what he said: he thinks Pop is actually a low key thug because he was the coach on the opposing team who had one of his goons, namely Robert Horry, injure all-time great Steve Nash on purpose by fucking up his nose or whatever. I was like, okay... so this dude still lays the blame on Pop for stealing Nash's chance at a championship, and he still hasn't gotten over it or forgiven Pop or anything. It's a hella confusing situation cuz I normally think this is a pretty cool dude.
What would you guys make of this grudge that this dude has allowed to fester over Pop? Should I try talking to him about it again or should I let it go? I feel like I should talk to him about it because if I don't, he'll miss out on the greatness of Kawhi and shit.

The Bruce Bowen era Spurs were very willing to get physical and borderline dirty with other team's key players. I doubt Pop ever whispered in Horry's ear and told him to go after Nash but they definitely tried to disrupt his flow.
Bruce Bowen is why we have the rule that you must give space for the shooter to land. A lot sprained ankles (or worse) because of him.
Also, that whole flying ninja kick he did to the face of Wally Sczerbiak.
