If the Fultz update is true, Philly is being downright negligent letting him play, especially in the face of how careful they were with Embiid and Simmons. The last time I had fluid/inflammation in a muscle I had a bacterial abscess (which the doctors didn't find until my 3rd or 4th day in the hospital), which nearly killed me and had me bed-ridden for 10 days. Followed by 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. And no, you can't detect it in normal bloodwork if the abscess is self-contained.
If Fultz has anything similar he's just going to make it worse by playing through it. No 19 year old #1 pick is going to intentionally bench themselves unless they can't run, they have to make the decision for him.

The first games were a shitfest. players were obviously not trying
Bledsoe being one of them.
PHX desperately need the young players to buy in. Or its not getting out of the hell hole.

By giririsss Go To PostOh, so NOW commish comes over.
PHX drafted super super young players. It's really too early to tell on some of them.
Bender isn't even 20 yet!
Gotcha. I figured as much.
On paper, I see a team with Bender, Chriss, JJ, insert big 3&D SG, and Booker at PG could be something.
That make sense?
Booker could / should be a defacto point guard ala ray allen.
I'm not sure chriss is a long term starter, but he should be atleast a rotation guy. Depends entirely on his shot and range.
Bender is interesting in many ways, but his physical growth along with age mean he's still super raw.
And Jackson needs range too, but it seems he's working on it.
But out side that, they need to buy into a sytem. It's ok to lose cause you're young and learning. It's not ok to lose because no one is playing team ball.

If they aren't playing team ball, that's on the coach, imo, especially with guys that young. If Melo isn't playing team ball, well, it's Melo being Melo, and good luck to those coaches, but if a guy has been in the league 8 minutes, I blame the coach. You think they'd play that way under Pop?
Anyway, I don't think Booker is the answer at the point, but I'd love to be proven wrong. Can't compare him to the legendary Ray Allen but I know what you mean. I will give it a year before I start criticizing any of these young guys (assuming they f'ing try). I just hope we get back quality young prospect/picks for EB, but I fear we are getting nothing worthwhile long term.
Where is Bledsoe likely to end up? Where CAN he end up? I always thought he'd do some real damage on a team like San Antonio.
By LionPride Go To PostCan the Cavs, Bucks, or Thunder get BledsoeThe Cavs have zero assets.
Pls
The Thunder have zero assets.
The Bucks will overvalue their assets.

Trade couldn't be done until after Jan. 14th, but Bledsoe for Tony Snell and a 1st works (Mil has a $5M trade exception to balance out the salaries). That gets you the lineup above.
Giri is right, two player development coaches got fired, and the head coach that was fired used to be a player development coach himself. Every player comes in with flaws, we drafted 2 top for picks with raw potential and one at the 8th and none of them developed, thats a problem.
By Schlonky Go To PostTrade couldn't be done until after Jan. 1st, but Bledsoe for Tony Snell and a 1st works (Mil has a $5M trade exception to balance out the salaries). That gets you the lineup above.But..Malcolm Brogdon!

Plays the 2. It's not like the offense runs through him now.
By Schlonky Go To PostPlays the 2. It's not like the offense runs through him now.Didn't realise the two was his primary position. I assume Giannis brings the ball up then? I haven't watched much of Bucks but caught a lot of Brogdon highlights last year.
having fultz continue to play is fucking his confidence. he looks like a player who doesnt believe in himself. let him rest and heal, this is bullshit

To clarify: "Would play the 2" if they brought Bledsoe in.
And I just got an eyeful of how the Bucks offense works. LOL
Fultz already looked impressive to me even without learning his shoulder is fucked, knowing that I'm even more impressed. Gets to the bucket so easy. Obviously his shooting form is an issue but if it's just because he has a bad shoulder then it's nothing to worry about, right?

I thought that in the first game but it seems to be effecting his confidence as each game passes, in the last game he was basically hesitant to drive and passed to someone else most times and was just really passive. Like most people i find the decision to play him really confusing if it really is hurting him that much.

I'd like to think in this situation though the org knows more than we do and has reasons for playing him.

I tihnk he can be your main offense initiator because of his sheer growth at doing so in his short time in the league.
I think we're coming into an era though in which you need atleast two ball handlers / initiators. Defenses are getting good at shutting just one, down.

Yeah. Snell is where he should be. He shouldn't be a Sun.

That lineup could switch 1 through 3 and 2 through 4 on defense (Bender would have to learn to hedge and recover) and play 5 out on offense with a steady diet of 1-3 P&Rs.
I'd watch it.
By DY_nasty Go To Posti can't even believe snell is still in the leagueHe developer good range and trys hard on defense.
He found his niche and stuck to it.
By giririsss Go To PostI think you overestimate how good snell is as a ball handler / initiator.
He wouldn't need to do that. He's just there for spacing on O and versatility on D.
By DY_nasty Go To Posti can't even believe snell is still in the league
He wouldn't be if he hadn't gotten away from Thibs. Best thing that happened to him
Being from San Diego I don't have a hometown team to root for, but I was definitely a fan of the Warriors for the past couple of seasons, but this season thus far they have been fairly unlikable. They just come off as arrogant.

I think Bender is obviously talented so I wouldn’t write him off just yet. But it’s very unlikely that he’ll be anything more than a rotation big.
Chriss on the other hand could very well wash out of the league by the time is rookie contract is up.

By unknown Go To Postcavs about to style on the bulls.
Uh...
Seeing Chriss come in out of shape at Summer League was enough for me to write him off. Len is the worst type of goon, the one with no talent to keep him on the court except being a goon.
Bender I'm less reluctant to write off (yet) because he's big and can shoot and is not even 20 yet.

Felder going straight to the rim with LeBron, Green, and Crowder on the court is pretty special.

Adding Jeff Green didn't make them better? Unfathomable
By pilonv1 Go To PostAdding Jeff Green didn't make them better? UnfathomableGreen has actually looked decent this year (I know, I know, Jeff Green) but they still don't run an offense beyond LeBron Go Do Shit and they look permanently confused on D. They need an actual head coach.
Green always has 2-3 game stretches where he looks like he can contribute but then you realise he's a liability no defense and takes terrible shots
