By pilonv1 Go To PostTo think that the Suns could have traded for Kyrie and/or signed MillsapBoth of those would have been massive mistakes. The Suns aren't a Kyrie or a Millsap away from being a good team and there is no way Kyrie stays on a 35 win team after his contract is up.
Not saying it It would have made them a playoff team in the west but at least it might have given them a direction.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthey have a direction now tho
They can't really go any lower tho
By pilonv1 Go To PostNot saying it It would have made them a playoff team in the west but at least it might have given them a direction.Would’ve had to give up the #4 pick for Kyrie who would no doubt walk away. The biggest mistake was hiring Watson in the first place. Beyond the stupidity if the IT/Dragic/Bledsoe fiasco. Its looking like Bledsoe’s tweet is a result of the Watson firing as they were close. Which if true means he didnt really give the front office much notice.
I just don't see what the plan is with the Suns. It's my same issue with the 76ers. Even if all the players work out, the parts don't really fit. How many more 6-8 to 6-10 guys do you need that all are essentially the same player?

It's hard to rip down completely and start over.

It's just Simmons, Embiid and Fultz are so damn young so it will take time for them to figure it all out.
For example i feel like their starting 5 fits better than T-Wolves does.

How many more 6-8 to 6-10 guys do you need that all are essentially the same player?I think the Sixers as currently constructed make sense if Fultz isn't a bust and Embiid stays relatively healthy. The Suns problem has been more that they haven't drafted well outside of Booker (Jackson is obviously tbd) and that they haven't drafted high enough. They've been 4-14 for a while now.
The Sixers at least have top picks and to be honest a lot of their issues came from the result of injuries. The suns always just end up picking 4th and luckily Jackson is a pretty good grab for what the team needed going forward next to booker. Chriss, Len, and Bender have been disappointments so far. Although Bender probably has the most potential out of the three of getting label off, and Len being a certified bust.
The biggest problem with the team fundamentally is the passing. Every play is an iso, and Bledsoe needs to go to a team where he won't be a primary ball handler. He is just not good at running the offensive.

I think my issue with the 76ers is mostly Fultz. I've just never been a fan. I feel like they would have been better taking Ball or keeping the third and taking someone like Fox or DSJ. Simmons is the real deal though. If Embiid can stay healthy, they have two top 15 players in the NBA in two years.

Piston over the Nets in 3.
Which team switches conferences, though.
By Anubis Go To PostDlo gonna win MIP award looks like? Why? I haven't seen his games yet but the numbers don't look too far off from what he was doing in LA
That's gotta hurt the Lakers unless of course Lonzo wins ROY!

Could of had both *shrugs*
Jimmy Butler hasn't put up numbers so far, but his presence allows Wiggins to be guarded by dudes who aren't Roberson.
So what's with all these bigs, some of them who would normally start on other teams being ostracized by their coaches?
Dieng
Randle
Len/Chris (about to change now?)
Willy H
Skal should be starting for the Kings
Collins should be getting more burn for the Hawks
etc.

Gorgui only started the last couple years because we didn't have a capable 4. I wouldn't say he's good enough to start on a good team because of his poor defensive ability and so-so rebounding.
Wow I come off of a bender to find out that the Cavs got crushed by Orlando, and NeoGAF burned itself to the ground, controlled detonation style.
What a weekend.

By Omzz Go To PostFelton ballin right nowOur defense is bad in general, but especially on the perimeter. Crawford hasn't been able to stay with Felton.
