What an awful, awful win tonight. I wish we lost so more sight would be aimed at Spoelstra. He's been so fucking terrible this season it's infuriating. Playing guys out of position, not playing guys at all, damn near stunting winslow's growth, etc, etc
fuck this shit
fuck this shit
The Iron Unkind to Lillard. Kings win a nice win, Portland victimized repeatedly off the bench by Stein's Gate (22/10)

By pkaz01 Go To PostIm actually liking Bender a lot this seasonHis out side shot is getting better. And with more shots he'll get more confident. The shot mechanics look good.
He's been moving his feet REALLY well on defense, keeping his arms up.
His passing has been good too.
Wish he got more shots around the rim, and wish he was run as the lone big man more. But that could have some to do with him being still relatively thin, and literally turning 20 tonight.

Dude improved a lot. Chris on the other hand..sheesh
By Kuma Go To PostDude improved a lot. Chris on the other hand..sheeshI'm not sure Chriss touched a basketball in the off season.
Unless it was a basketball shaped donut.
By giririsss Go To PostBENCH TYLER ULIS ALL THE WAY TO THE G-LEAGUE. OR THE EURO LEAGUE. OR THE FUCKING AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE.That 3 was for you giri
By pilonv1 Go To PostLet's not forget the Blazers losing to the Kangzlike i said, we all loser bros this season.
Lakers lost...me likely.
Did Lonzo Ball get benched?
Might have to start the free Lonzo campaign.
I was high on him coming out of college too

By pilonv1 Go To PostJosh Jackson crazy af, ran across the court and even pushed the ref lol, Lonzo just casually walks away. This one shows it better
well then
Jackson has severe anger management problems and you probably shouldn't start fights against the Suns as he will probably sucker punch you.
By Kuma Go To PostI was high on him coming out of college too
I wasn't, but i had to watch Hakim Warrick for a season.

btw, missed the game. I need my hot takes. Lonzo still trash?
my boy kuz proving haters wrong?!
Lonzo needs a tech or two for his image. He's already being painted as emotionally unplugged. He has no chance of being a leader if he's not going to at least try to break up a fight to ensure his teammates don't get in trouble. He literally showed his back.

probably both ways
your teammates needs to know you got their back. not just setting them up for for easy baskets or some heroic speech.
wasn't one of the main reasons why magic got rid of russell was because of his leadership? he needed a leader at pg and lonzo was supposed to be the answer to this?

By Hirou00 Go To Postwasn't one of the main reasons why magic got rid of russell was because of his leadership? he needed a leader at pg and lonzo was supposed to be the answer to this?Lonzo has leadership qualities that already far exceeds DLo, but he's still a kid, he's got a lot of growing up to do.
By blackace Go To Postthey most likely smelled the bitch in himi don't know about all that
but i do know that coming across or saying stuff that equates to "i'm just here to play basketball" or something meh isn't exactly how you cook unity
kinda funny how clarkson and randle are bffs tho
By Kabro Go To PostLonzo has leadership qualities that already far exceeds DLo, but he's still a kid, he's got a lot of growing up to do.lonzo never led shit lol
even in college he had a team full of seniors to defer to at any given moment
luol deng speaks the language of the trees. lonzo is just another guy now
By DY_nasty Go To Posti don't know about all thatYou played... you knew the guys who really weren't about protecting or looking out for anyone but themselves after the first few weeks of practice..

he's definitely got it,
but seeing how he just walked away tells me he's not even close to being the leader on the team and he's sus af right now.
no way Luke doesn't see it.
time to bring in Coach Byron, he knows how to humble rookies.

By blackace Go To PostYou played… you knew the guys who really weren't about protecting or looking out for anyone but themselves after the first few weeks of practice..its absolutely clear lol
from the guys that do too much in practice trying to break people in half over a rebound to the people that'll tell you everything wrong about your game but don't ever take the time to actually work on it with you
lonzo is.... i mean, it SHOULD be common sense to bark a little bit especially when you know there's no way in hell a fight is actually going to happen. he doesn't have to gerald henderson anyone, but even trying to break up a fight with a good ole "its not worth bro! let me hold you back (because we all know you ain't gonna fight hhuehue)" is a block you have to check nonetheless
people can laugh at deangelo all they want, but when he was on the lakers they were NEVER this soft and disjointed. right now, every game is 5 v 4 v 1 v BBB - the opposing team, what luke's trying to do with the lakers, what julius randle is actually going to do because fuck a playbook, and whatever jutsu lonzo is trying to summon
By blackace Go To PostExplain how he has it? Just curious what makes you say that?hard to say really,
maybe I'm confusing it with maturity.
UCLA had three seniors and a another 1st round draft pick in the starting line up with him
that was always my thing with lonzo, he can enhance the fuck out of already decent product - but to build up something on his own is something he's never been asked to do

By DY_nasty Go To Postits absolutely clear lolWhen I played it wasn't as much of a business at the highschool level, it was more hoop dreams type shit. But it has to be even a more obvious for the players who have been groomed and pampered from middle school

I don't think he has been super mature or anything.. I mean he is not a knucklehead but he seems to distance himself from everyone and if things need to be said his dad steps in.. So I am not sure maturity is the right word.

Well, his whole support cast has always told him he's way above every teams he's ever been on, so he probably never felt the need to connect with anyone before.
By giririsss Go To PostWell, his whole support cast has always told him he's way above every teams he's ever been on, so he probably never felt the need to connect with anyone before.Sure he isn't the first diva but honestly I have not seen a player so detached from his team in a long time. D'Lo seemed more plugged in with his team even after he broke up Nick Young lol
If you want to take issue with something, he had a 5'9 dude on him tonight that looked like he's never picked up dbs heavier than 25lbs, but he wasn't looking for his shot at all. And, I don't know if Luke likes that shit or what, but other players will often walk the ball up and initiate offense with Lonzo hanging out on the wing not in the play at all. Of course he also gets benched in 4th quarters now as if they're in a playoff chase. Body language and being a fake tough guy is way down the list.
its not about being a tough guy or something
its simple interpersonal shit on any team. work, basketball, friends, etc - if your people care about something, you gotta at least pretend to care too
utter indifference for the new guy and FO anointed 'leader' isn't a good look.
