The stupid thing is that outside of that first quarter ... it's only been an 8point gain by houston.
Though i'm sure they took their foot off the peddle too.

By shun Go To PostI mean, we'll see but as great of a coach Brad Stevens is, they typically have not had success in the postseason and they need to prove otherwise.
Sure but all that stuff about D and what not so far is just purely false
By shun Go To PostYour inability to to maintain a consistent opinion on your team, and the rest of the Boston stans here are just as funny.
Would rather take the Lakers crazy over you guys at this point.

That's a weak take. The first time they even had home court advantage in a series was last year, and they made the conference finals before running up against the fully activated LeBron & Kyrie show.
Just say you don't care for Stevens / Celtics / whatever. That's fine. But don't reach.
By Randolph Freelander Go To Postalternate take.
Trash Brothers.
Alternate take: Look at Kyrie's lockdown D.
That was some of the most home cooking i've seen from ref's in years.

Let's pop bottles and have moral victories with our small sample size and weak strength of schedule why don't we?

Right. Boston won't make it to the finals anyways.
Haha, I love this post:
I recently watched Shin Godzilla, a movie that is literally all exposition except for the 5 minutes that the monster is onscreen wrecking shit. It reminded me immediately of the Celtics offensive scheme, which seems to consist entirely of backdoor cuts, which don't work since nobody on that team can fucking shoot so defenders never bite on the flares–it's all players showing how they would score if things went their way rather than actually doing it. All this aimless cutting is enlivened only periodically by one of their athletes getting a chance to destroy a rim in transition, which happens like once a game. Why can't there be more Godzilla?
Harden is averaging 32 & 10 on 63%TS. 38 & 11, 43% from three on 12 attempts per game in November. He wants that MVP bad.
By Kibner Go To PostHaha, I love this post:
What's been underrated about this streak is that Kyrie has been completely mediocre in efficiency, even compared to his own historical numbers (career low TS%, FG%, and 3P%), even though his usage hasn't really changed from Cleveland. If he regresses to his career averages, the Celtics should at least be an average offensive team instead of bottom 10 like they are now. Of course the Lebron factor is going to bring up anyone's efficiency, but Kyrie has been getting good looks, especially playing with Horford.
Brown, Horford, and Tatum will look even better when Hayward comes back, because he's going to provide spacing, draw more attention, and he's a good passer for all those cuts they are making properly.
Shun catching feelings is hilarious. Celtics won't get calls that lopsided against any good team in the playoffs.
Like... the game was in Boston. Kerr and Steph indirectly took swipes at that and Steph said something to the effect of "we'll worry about it if they beat the Cavs four times". I may have misheard it but he was pretty candid post-game.
EDIT: Also
EDIT: Also
Coach Luke Walton said he wants Lonzo Ball to improve his shot selection.Luke... it's not shot selection. It's shot.
Ball has struggled mightily with his shot all season and has been benched in the fourth quarter in each of the Lakers last two games. Walton told reporters that some of Ball's 3-point attempts have been forced and not within the flow of the offense. "If he’s going to his left and they go under (a screen) and he’s in rhythm and wants to pull up and shoot that 3, then we’re good with that. That’s what we want," said Walton. Ball will look to snap out of his slump Friday night vs. the Suns.

I just realized that for the next few years I'm going to unconsciously categorize every player by what King of Fighters they were born during.
We're still in the class of Orochi Saga.
