By diehard Go To Postdo you really have to figure out Curry or Durant? You just play regular basketball, there's no quirks or weaknesses you have to deal with.
They had to evacuate all of Scott Brooks Billy Donovan bullshit that had accumulated in his brain, took a while. Any day now they'll get him to set a real screen, shit is gonna be beautiful.
It's not his on court behaviour that irks me.
- Giving up and going to play for the team you had a 3-1 lead over in the playoffs
- Not telling your running mate of almost a decade about the move
- Taking a pay cut to alleviate an owner from paying tax
- Releasing a colourway of his shoe specifically to address his haters
- Setting up fake social media accounts to defend himself
What's the word for that sort of behaviour?

By Trey Go To PostCurry and Durant showed maturity last season figuring each other out.because draymond was ready to snatch him up by the scruff of the neck early and set him straight
kd just got down instead of laying down
Draymond is also just a smart ass dude in spite of like being a crotch kicking hothead. Sometimes these things run together and one wins out.

i dont think theres a word for that
Running mate. That relationship being entirely broken and toxic was obvious to everyone and you don't tell folks your plans, especially to fucking leave.
Also knowing and seeing that even as an outsider and dude still needed to be told he'd be gone at the drop of a hat? lol.
I have no agenda in defending Durant but lol that whole OKC thing every other year folks were like "when is Durant or WB dumping that ish." Then shock and awe as Durant finally says finito to something that just wasn't working? Uh.

I'm just annoyed because we had like 3 years of Thunder Warriors WCFs to look forward to, and KD just took that away by moving. Whether it reflects poorly on him from a legacy perspective doesn't matter to me one bit.

By giririsss Go To PostI dunno. I think that Thunder squad always had a useby date and it was rapidly approaching.Ibaka was getting traded no matter what. We probably re-sign Dion if Durant stays (I was ehhhhh on the prospect of keeping him tbh) and there were also strong rumblings that we could have signed Horford to replace Ibaka. More KD at smallball 4 alongside Adams/Horford would have been nasty.
The point being: we had routes to improve (via internal player development as well as via reconfiguration of the roster).

And a lot of that expresses what i said, as it was, that roster had a useby date. From what you said, it sounds like even now people are throwing around theories that the whole team except kd/ynb would have been traded / rebuilt.
Maybe KD's departure is the kick in the ass that franchise needed to get more hungry / desperate to win in terms of shilling out money / recruitment.
I'm not discounting that. But Ibaka was traded before we knew Durant's decision and every indication is that we thought he was returning.
And from what I've heard the interest from Horford was real. You have to think that if Durant had strongly recruited him (along with Donovan, his college coach) that we stood a good chance of landing him. Who knows.
I do think that the pressure and desperation has been good for Presti's decision-making. And thankfully Russ rose to the occasion to help us bridge the gap through our lost season last year.

Durant told you what he thought of OKC's prospects, even if he did think he was hiding behind an alt at the time. The loss to the Spurs in the conference finals was more telling than Warriors' series in the post Harden era. Or maybe that's just the first time I noticed it, OKC put their stars at a big disadvantage versus the well coached teams and that's about all you're gonna see deep in the playoffs.
By TTG Go To Postwell coached teams and that's about all you're gonna see deep in the playoffs.
I was going to say "and the Cavs," but then I remembered that I think they're really coached by a Nike think tank.
Fair point, I should have added "in the West" as a qualifier. Let's say KD comes back and they get knocked off by a Spurs team with an extra healthy ankle, would anyone be shocked? Even the Rockets, assuming Harden didn't choke the way he did. That's entirely on coaching.
You could watch OKC and generally feel like Durant and Westbrook basically scored in spite of each other rather than with each other. If it was that obvious to us...
