8-5 is the second best start in Wolves history because this team is diseased and not worth anything without Kevin Garnett.
Jimmy Butler is pretty good, though.

lol at bron being that happy over beating a team no one has expectations for. He must have forgotten his team lost just a few weeks ago to the knicks.

Love has a smaller role in the offense than last season. His usage rating is down, he’s touching the ball less, and he’s taking two fewer shots per game. .
No matter what Cleveland does over the next few months, Love’s playing time could be cut in the playoffs. They can’t defend with him at the 5, and he will have a lot of competition for minutes at the 4. LeBron, Jae Crowder, and Green can all play the position, and they are all much better perimeter defenders. Lue has to make rotation decisions with defense in mind.Fuck it, we don't play defense anyway. Dieng or Taj (but not both) for Love.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostRodeo, why does Rubio suck at defense and passing.
he said yall turned him into a 3 and D point guard
By IWMTB19 Go To PostRodeo, why does Rubio suck at defense and passing. He doesn't? Why does your head coach have him stand around and watch as Ingles and Mitchell initiate offense?
Rubio is not a shooter and he's being asked to regularly spot up, which isn't good for your team's offense, in the sense that nobody respects his shot. Defenses sag off him while he's hanging out in the corner and it's making him force the issue when he does get the ball. He's trying to make plays with the few possessions he does get with spacing that's worse than anything he dealt with here, so he's turning it over way above his career rate.
I'll choose to believe the previous six years of evidence that he's really good at directing offense and not turning the ball over 14 games where he's not being utilized well. (Like, seriously, the idea that Snyder is asking him to shoot all the time and regularly play off ball is asinine.)
Yeah idk why Quinn doesn't just hand the keys over to Rubio, that's like, a guaranteed 20 win season.
By s y Go To PostYeah idk why Quinn doesn't just hand the keys over to Rubio, that's like, a guaranteed 20 win season.Yeah, why rock the boat when it's getting smashing results like a 27th ranked offense.
The Wolves were 10th last year and 12th the year before that. (9th in 13-14, even.) I assure you, they weren't losing games because Rubio was running a lot of pick and roll action.
I liked the few days where we could sort of pretend that Cavs won't make it to the finals. Good times.

honeymoon = over
Tell me there's also a minutes per game difference.
I mean, shooting is what it is, but for rebounds and assists to also be sharply down, dude better be on the pine.

By rodeoclown Go To PostYeah, why rock the boat when it's getting smashing results like a 27th ranked offense. The Wolves had a ton of offensive talent, and probably should have been higher than that. The strangest thing about Rubio is i was expecting these amazing passes.. and instead its been passes at Rudy's feet. He might be fine on a offense that is tailored to his strengths, the problem is he isn't good enough to tailor any offense to him at all. Who knows, maybe he will start hitting some open shots again and he will be fine.

By Smoke Dogg Go To PostYeah but I think that's why Barkley became such a beast too, after Malone mentored him and molded him into peak basketball shapeTalent shines through... Barkley was killing his peers being overweight and out of shape his entire career starting from the Olympics...
Would not the evidence suggest that it's better to come into the league as a balloon and earn your minutes, than to come in as a stick figure and be gifted minutes?
But anyway, as an aside, I wonder how many lightyears ahead the league would be right now if Hinkie and D'Antoni ever got to work together. I mean, have they ever worked together? I honestly don't know. But are Morey and D'Antoni the closest we'll get? Is Harden the prototype for the future?
Most players like for example Shaq, Dream, KD, Westbrook, MJ, Magic, KG and so on didn't need to be fat, hurt to get great in the league.

Fuck it, we don't play defense anyway. Dieng or Taj (but not both) for Love.
Seeing him on the bench in the 4th yesterday wasn't good and he's been living off call seeking bull shit for a while now. Honestly, with that chicken wing and arm tugging he could teach Harden a thing or two about drawing fouls in the post. #KyrieWasRight
By pilonv1 Go To PostIt's not Rubio's fault he has no one to pass to, everyone worked that outIs it his fault he can't shoot or his passes aren't that good?
By s y Go To PostWith Covington turning into Otto Porter this season, I'm not gonna be surprised when Stauskas turns into Klay Thompson next season. HinkieDaGawd. #fuckphillyStauskas is too shook to amount to anything. Dude hits the court and loses his soul and is thus afraid to do anything. Its amazing actually. Dude does not miss apparently in practice or before games and yet be out there airballing all day on the court. He littlerally had to get a Psychatrist to help him out....its sad really as every so often he looks legit...but never any constancy. It sucks because we could use some bench scoring with Fultz being a zombie atm.

By diehard Go To PostThe Wolves had a ton of offensive talent, and probably should have been higher than that.Do they? Towns is dope, but LaVine was out half the year (and the year before they that, Smitch insisted he was a point guard until February so they barely played together), Wiggins is too inefficient to be a plus player, and Dieng is at best pretty average.
Their offense is worse than last year even though they added Butler because everything else largely stayed the same (Taj for Dieng is a wash, Wiggins refuses to improve, Towns is rad) because Teague isn't as good at quarterbacking this as Ricky is.
The thought did occur to me last night that as Butler starts to assert himself more on offense, Wiggins is the most expensive third option in the league.
Someone save me from the contract. Someone. Please. Anybody.

By blackace Go To PostIs it his fault he can't shoot or his passes aren't that good?
The first is definitely true and the second is a factor of having no one to pass to and an offense that doesn't take advantage of his skills
