By s y Go To PostYou think LeBron was taking a shot at ntkilina?Well he was, just indirectly. I mean if you tell your friend that his ex is hot and that he should have married her it wouldn't be a direct shot at his actual wife but she's gonna be rightfully pissed anyway.
……huh?
Cavs play the Knicks today, now that comment makes even more sense besides the whole Phil thing. Gotta get the tweak in before the game!
Kristaps Porzingis voiced his support for Frank Ntilikina after LeBron James said that the Knicks should've drafted Dennis Smith Jr.Should be interesting to see if the Cavs can gain some traction after the last win, they at least should be motivated to play D tonight LOL NO THEY WON'T.
"I don’t know why he made those comments. All I can say is we love Frank, we’re happy with him," Porzingis said. "He’s doing a great job, he’s playing great and he’s doing what he’s supposed to. I would not change Frank for anybody. Simple." Porzingis has been a leader on and off the court and it's nice to see him stand up for the rookie. The Cavaliers are in town on Monday, so LeBron's comments should give the Knicks plenty of bulletin-board material.
Oh well Lebron helped Mike Brown and then Dan Gilbert fail upwards just like MJ and Kobe helped Phil Jackson fail upwards so it's like poetic justice if you ask me
But anyway at least none of Phil Jackson's picks were as bad as D'Lo and Lonzo

By Smoke Dogg Go To PostOh well Lebron helped Mike Brown and then Dan Gilbert fail upwards just like MJ and Kobe helped Phil Jackson fail upwards so it's like poetic justice if you ask meD'Lo wasn't a bad pick.... he was caught up in a tough situation (Kobe Farewell) and just didn't pan out. Wasn't mature enough to handle everything and kinda had to go. I don't want to judge Lonzo as a rookie but I will judge him based on his idiotic father's/Magic's projections... he could be a nice player if he learns to unfuck that shot.
But anyway at least none of Phil Jackson's picks were as bad as D'Lo and Lonzo
I just saw D'Lo is going to miss several games with an injured knee. This has been problematic since his rookie year. It could be another reason Magic and Luke were okay with shipping him out.
Could've had Kristaps but picked D'Lo
Could've had Tatum but picked Lonzo
Could've had Cousins but kept Brandon lol
Could've had Jerry West back but pooped on that too lol
Fans of other teams need to make sure their teams have more of a YouTube presence cuz until CaCHooKaMan flips sides I'm stuck with these Lakers abominations

I don't understand Lebron's messaging here. On one side, he is trying to promote he kid he has some sort of mentoring relationship with. On another side, he wants to take a swipe at Phil. Ok, I follow him here.
It's where he comes out today and starts making strawman arguments about how basketball needs the knicks to be good, how the Knicks handled Melo and how Phil isn't even here any more, so why talk about it where this gets grating and reeks of attention seeking.
YOU CLOWN, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT BROUGHT PHIL AND ALL THIS UP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Trump personally asked Xi Jinping to help resolve case of UCLA basketball players arrested in China
We're getting dangerously close to a Lavar Trump joint press conference y'all...
After Trump raised the matter, Xi promised to look into the case and ensure that the players are treated fairly and expeditiously, said a U.S. official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation. Chief of Staff John F. Kelly has been in touch with the families of the players and has spoken with UCLA Coach Steve Alford, and Kelly remains in contact with Chinese authorities, the official added. This official indicated that charges against the players have been reduced and that the case is proceeding toward a resolution.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/11/13/trump-personally-asked-xi-jinping-to-help-resolve-case-of-ucla-basketball-players-arrested-in-china/?utm_term=.32d06ebb87cc

By blackace Go To PostHe wouldn't had ever known the feeling of having another player on his level…The only reason he was ok with being at the kings is because he thought they were loyal. Don't think DMC would have stuck with the lakers at all.

It's at the Garden? Yea, you're getting blasted. Watch out for D Wade with the pump fakes and post ups too. Lebron should be nice to the Knicks. Mozgov, JR, even Shump to some extent all took a load off his shoulders and he got them for nothing. LBJ would have killed for Mozgov towards the end with those Heat teams when he had to dive head first after every defensive rebound because Bosh was too busy practicing his jump shot.

Yea, he would alternate practicing his stroke with yelling at Mario Chalmers for stealing his rebounds, it was weird. Lebron took a sabbatical, came back and Mozgov was there like, "hi, I'm 7'1 and you don't have to box out a big man ever again."

We really talking shit about everything Bosh did and sacrificed in Miami? That dude changed up his entire game to play the perfect modern big man role. I was harsh on him as everyone else, and it wasn't pretty or expected given we were still transitioning into this new era of basketball, but in hindsight Bosh was Draymond before Draymond did his thing for the Warriors. Only other bigs that played that type of difference maker role at the time was old-Kevin Garnett for the Celtics ad Duncan for the Spurs.

And it's basically the study of "big 3's" in a nut shell. One of them is going to have to sacrifice their game a lot more than the other two. By game i mean, raw statistics. And it's usually the one with a lot more diverse/complimentary skill set.

Pop quiz hot shot: how many points did Bosh have in game 7 against the Spurs?
But really, after playing that crazy trap and shoot the gaps defense Lebron had to go fight for rebounds for them to have a chance, then carry the offense on the other end. I appreciate the competent pick and roll coverage, but opinion has swung too far in the other direction on Bosh. He really would get trampled and it was Defcon 4 every time a big got the ball against him on the block. He sacrificed some counting stats and missing the playoffs or getting bounced in the first round on a lucky year, that's about it.
Where did I say anything about scoring? Completely missing the entire point about what Bosh was asked to do.
PS: Draymond (2015-17) and Bosh (2011-14) averaged about the same number of points in the playoffs. Bosh did it on a much higher FG% 👍🏻

Can we talk about this? I see smaller guards do this shit ALL the time. I get there's "hustle" or whatever, but I've seen dudes like Lowry (and now Waiters) perpetually torpedo inbetween a bigger players legs to try and get ahold of the ball, and it's not by today's NBA rules a "foul". Why not? What the hell happened to a loose ball foul being called? Better yet, that's more of a flagrant 1 definition than most of the shit being called because Waiters had no chance at the ball.
By reilo Go To PostWhere did I say anything about scoring? Completely missing the entire point about what Bosh was asked to do.Let the Draymond/Bosh comparison go. Bosh on offense was catch and shoot with maybe a blow by some conventional slow footed big after a pump fake. Draymond has gone from a great passer when Curry would drag 2 defenders with him and drop the ball off to a real playmaker. On defense he should have had DPOY twice while Bosh made HIbbert look like an all star.

Bosh made LBJ's life a lot harder in Miami. His lack of post defense and rebounding put as much strain on him as managing Wade's knees and playing that high energy defense with the league's oldest roster did in the last years. Being asked to do more is a chicken and egg thing, maybe if he wasn't being trampled they would have asked more of him... as they do of Draymond.

Opinion on Bosh still isn't in favour enough towards what he did for that team. If he didn't come back they were going to lose to indiana because they couldn't get any rebounds at all anywhere.
The spurs series was a way to highlight their weaknesses. In particular, they drew up scheme's that dragged bosh away from the boards in every situation on both ends. Being the heats best 3pt shooter and the constant switching on defense.
To try and argue bosh was at fault years later because of box scores ignores so much of how the spurs systematically took them apart.

Both are valid with Waiters. It's going to cost Rudy $500k in bonuses and now he has 0 chance of being an all-star. It sucks :/

And to be clear, I'm not blaming Bosh for them losing their last finals. I'm saying his lack of presence at the rim, defense and rebounding both, meant Lebron and Wade had to pick up the slack night in and night out. Lebron in those last 2 years for them especially was putting in an unprecedented effort anyway and he would have to fight bigs for rebounds and scramble over to help every time someone caught the ball deep enough against Bosh on top of it. Life is/was much easier in Cleveland.
Rudy's been big as fuck more than yesterday, he should know how to protect himself better tbh
even bigs in high school know to keep their legs out of the way during scrims for the ball. same as guards knowing to steer clear of a bigs shoulder and elbows while deep in the paint.
that play sucks for gobert, but its not something you can police in basketball imo

You can call it if the player intentionally rolls into someone to shield the ball from them a la Delli. I don't know if Waiters was doing that, didn't seem like it.
Finally got around to reading Zach Lowe's breakdown of how bad the Wiz bench is. This team could easily be Celtics-status right now if their second unit wasn't so terrible. They really have to start staggering Wall & Beal or trade for a third guy who can create.
