Was gifted an Xbox One, where the fu**# are the games?

I know it's early in the system's lifespan, but I just looked at the lineups for both the PS4 and Xbox One, and Sony has destroyed Microsoft in delivering actual content to people.
Besides Titanfall and that Garden Warfare game, there's literally been nothing interesting on the Xbox one marketplace since it's mediocre launch lineup.
Off the top of my head, Sony has come out with AAA releases like Infamous, FTP offerings like DC universe and Warframe, as well as a shitload of indie titles like Towerfall, Dead Nation, Don't Starve, and Outlast.
Meanwhile on the other end, we get Kinect Sport's Rivals... :o
At least try a little Msoft, nobody cares about that shitty app that feeds us lag-ridden ESPN content.
BTW if anyone's down for some Titanfall add me: Gino23

This is what happens when you launch a console a year early because you underestimated your competition.
With out being douchey or having looked at it extensively cause i'm interested in neither console, wouldn't a lot of the "FTP" xbox titles already be there on XBLA.
It takes more than 6 months to make a good game. There's always a drought after the shit tier launch window.

You mean the FTP games on the 360? No the one and 360 have separate marketplaces.
Also i know it takes awhile to make content for a new console generation, but look what sony is doing. They are supporting their userbase with a constant influx of indie games, something microsoft has failed miserably at.

"We're still not aware of any indie strategy for Xbox One," Ismail tells The Verge. "Obviously, there are some indie games coming to the platform — and there were some indie faces in the video — but compared to Sony the efforts are nonexistent. Either way, we're going to wait for the actual game announcements before we're even going to consider working with Microsoft, considering how bad their reputation amongst most indie developers is." While the Dutch studio is best known for mobile hits like Ridiculous Fishing, its upcoming aerial dogfighting game Luftrausers will be coming to both the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. "We'll be honest with you: the reason this game is going to hit PS3 and PS Vita is because we loved working with Sony when we made Super Crate Box," Ismail wrote on the PlayStation Blog when the news was announced.
Meanwhile, Microsoft's Xbox One event and the veil of secrecy around its indie strategy appear to have frustrated a number of developers, even those who have seen success on Microsoft consoles. Polytron's Phil Fish, who worked on the acclaimed Xbox Live Arcade title Fez, tweeted that "there was absolutely nothing relevant to me in that presser. Nothing about digital distribution or indies. Nothing at all." And other notable creators seem equally unimpressed. "So as someone who doesn't play Forza or any EA Sports games and already has a computer hooked up to my TV, what does Xbox One offer me?" asked Super Meat Boy developer Tommy Refenes. And while the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft is one of the best selling games to launch on Xbox Live Arcade, creator Markus "Notch" Persson said simply that "I tried to get excited about the Xbox One, but failed."
dead rising 3
Ryse- basically god of war without platforming
forza 5- had more fun with this then need for speed
killer instinct- amazing game and i hate fighting games
start with those, i own a PS4 and only played dead nation once, it sucked, the F2P games looked interesting but i downloaded killzone so i got my fps fix, infamous is short as fuck, played an hour and a half and done with 50% of the game. Outlast does have you shook and sweatn'
both systems living the struggle life
these companies are dumb for not porting south park, dark souls 2 and etc

shitty launches seems to be the theme. wii u launched with nothing. xbox one im not even touching. i want a ps4, but infamous doesnt do it for me. i'll see what they do at e3 and grab one accordingly
These have been the worst launches ever, no interest in either machine
The original PS2 launched with FANTAVISION.
The 360 launched with PETER JACKSONS KING KONG.
I mean you aren't gonna see a Mario 64 style classic with most console launches. Especially given Sony and MS decreased focus on internal development.

Atleast the PS2 had this gem:

That wasn't a launch title in NA/EU:

Dark Cloud came out almost a year later.
I don't see anything all that impressive about that Sony list either.
Every gen people seem shocked by the games during the first 6 months of system launches, but I don't know why. It's always pretty shitty at the beginning.

Yeah, the push to get the console ot market at the same time as the competitor should be taken in context somewhat. I wouldn't have cared if either was delayed by 3 months, as long as that didn't stall development by 3 months also.

The next six months isn't much better either
I would suggest Killer Instinct. Watched a few Fulgore rounds yesterday at PAX East, it looks amazing.

There's almost never anything worth buying for the first year. I waited to get a 360 until Gears, Dead Rising and Halo 3. I waited to get a PS4 until the Show and Metal Gear Solid 4. Only reason I bought a Wii around launch was Zelda GCN was delayed intentionally.
Looking at Gamefaqs release calendar in NA for the rest of the year the XBO and PS4 have:
Watch Dogs
The Evil Within
Destiny
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Batman Arkham Knight
as games that I think are next gen/PC only. So yeah, its still sparse but those games don't look too bad.
If LO2 came out, I'd X1 in a heartbeat.This is why we're bros. <3
RIP Mistwalker :'(
I bought my brother an X1 with the Titanfall bundle when it launched. Messed around with it a couple weekends ago when I was visiting family in NY. That user interface/operating system is a straight mess. I'm not software engineer but I think of myself savvy enough to navigate a console UI. It took me five minutes just to find the 'Settings' tab/app/location. Couldn't find the game store, demos or anything I really wanted. I couldn't even find where I could delete old content/access my saves, etc. Until they completely overhaul it, I'm unlikely to pick up one for myself.
Personally, it's smaller, downloadable titles that have me likely picking up my PS4 at the end of the month. I simply don't have the time I used to for big release games. Playing FFX HD only cemented that, can't believe I put 250+ hours into that game 12 years ago.
Can't wait for Child of Light and Transistor. I adored Bastion on 360, so anything SuperGiant puts out is a no-brainer and the Rayman engine can put out some amazing visuals, CoL looks like a real stunner. Really looking forward to both titles.
