By NinjaFridge Go To PostSport is a strong word for F1. Personally I'd reserve that word for actual sports like Football, Rugby, handegg, Gaelic football, Basketball and PUBG.

Yes?
By n8 dogg Go To PostYes?
I disagree.
Federer and Nadal are.
Djokovic is on his way to be also. Murray is not a legend of Tennis imo. Very good player but not a legend, yet. Don't think he will be.
Does Murray hold any world record on Tennis? Honest question, i really don't know.
We'll agree to disagree, i guess.

How can you say Djokovic is on his way to being a legend lmao? He has 12 grand slams. He had arguably the best ever year any tennis player has ever had in 2011.
Re your Murray question:
In 2016, he became the only man in history to win singles titles at (1) a grand slam, (2), the Olympic Games, (3) a Masters 1000 event, and (4) the World Tour Finals in the same calendar year.
Murray is the only man in history to have won Olympic Gold and the US Open in the same calendar year, as well as the third man to hold the Gold Medal and two majors on different surfaces (after Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal). He is also the very first tennis player and only man in its history to have won two Olympics Gold Medal in the singles category and on two different surfaces (grass in 2012, and hard 2016).
By reaching 2016 French Open final Andy Murray becomes one of only 10 men since the Open Era began in 1968 to have reached the final of all four Grand Slam tournaments. By doing so, he joins the rest of the Big Four.
Fair enough. Djoko is a legend. Murray can be one as well. Tennis players don't really care too much about Olympic games, do they? It's all about the GS.
I just saw that Murray only won 3 grand slams. Thats kinda low isn't it?
Think even Wawrinka has more.

Wawrinka has 3 grand slams from 4 finals; Murray has 3 from 11. Lost 3 finals to Fed and 5 to Djokovic.
Olympic gold defo behind GS but still prestigious. Fed really wants one and doesn't have it yet.

How long do you guys think Man City will keep this streak up?
I know there has to come a time when they simply can't keep up playing like that and they start losing some games, but I can't help but feel a little concerned as a Man United fan.

I watch a lot of tennis, still thinking Lewis Hamilton > Murray
Murray is a great player, but he's in the shadow of Federer/Djokovic/Nadal; Djokovic and Nadal in partcular destroyed him. Still a tennis legend, but not sure if he'll be remembered as much as Lewis Hamilton.

Don't quite trust City to instantly get back on track when a team exposes Otamendi and probably Stones
It's going to happen eventually

By Vivalapizza Go To PostWhat about the new approach to transfers that has served you so well? We'll go after the best young talent available if things go sour. right now we're only focusing on young talents that have yet to be picked up by the top clubs. but like I said, new variables can change many things.
Though Zidane always had a hard on for Hazard. I don't get it myself but w/e he is the coach.

F1 is sport but it's very much a team sport. If anything the drivers are pretty low down on the list of importance in a team.
Low down on importance but somehow paid like 140m. Seems like a great racket Hammy is running; that or Neymar's Pa is his agent lol.

Yeah. Obviously a great driver makes a lot of difference, but not as much as a great car.

I don't make the rules fam.
But someone like Christian Horner seems infinitely more valuable to a team then Hamilcunt

The problem with F1, and by that I mean Lewis Hamilton, is that he's devoid of any personality. His attempts to add attitude to his image are awful.
To wit... Attempting to bump and grind Rihanna and even worse, the mirrored sunglasses.

Incredibly marketable to the vanilla ass world of F1 though
Incredible lack of respect
Consider also that Lewis would be on 5 or 6 by now if his teams had taken the Ferrari approach to their drivers

The reason I hate Hamilton is he was on a top car from day 1. Then strops and acts like a complete little bitch when he's in a bad car for a year or two.
Where as man like Jenson balls out in shit cars for ever to earn his spot in a top car. Even though he was treated like a 2nd class citizen at McLaren

Top car from day one but he also performed from day one. They gave him a seat because of his talent. Every driver is arrogant and demanding. Some are just better in front of the cameras than others. He was childish in that respect for quite a while, but he's much better now.
I don't think McLaren were even thinking about Button until he won
love it when you're in a conference work call and some cunt isn't muting himself and breathing heavily in to the mic.

If Lewis started in a poorer car he would have found himself in a top seat within 2 years because he is one of the greatest drivers ever.

Definitely some aspects of his public persona which are cringe but have to remember McLaren had him on a leash during his time there.
Probably doesn't help Hamilton's personality that he's in the closet, having to hide that all the time must be difficult.
By n8 dogg Go To PostMaybe. Best British is Murray though.
Lennox Lewis says hello
Murray occasionally takes his kid to the soft play I take my son to. Well, I've seen him twice once. I might ask him for his opinion on Hamilton.
