No its sedition. A 30 years prison time crime
The reports and coverage over the last year regarding the rising cost of living in Catalonia (mainly Barca) have really highlighted - to me anyway - how naive and flat stupid these people are. They want want want and don't seem to have any answers when asked, how? Change is always difficult but this has been mishandled by all involved in so many ways. There's more than enough blame to go around.
No one comes out well in this shit show.
Speaking of shit and show, Stranger Things is the shit. S2 is off to a great show.
Had to take a break because I had something to do and my TV has been taken over. Going to wait to watch the rest there in glorious 4K.

looks like the world isn't that into new countries being born at this point in time. Status quo is where is at atm
By n8 dogg Go To PostOh I agree! But how many countries recently have made fucking dumb decisions :lolIt will certainly be messier, but I doubt that you'll see the masses protesting for it, like a couple of hundred thousands marching for the German reunification.
If the Spanish government attempt to subjugate them wont it just lead to more protest and then a messier breakup eventually?
There is hardly anything to gain for catalonia.
I don't really get this reasoning. Thinking small and making it about all those cultural points that should have no bearing in reality. So man countries have already fucked themselves by clinging onto traditions. And plenty will follow stupid reasoning. It's the same shit people use when they hang onto certain regional economic things. For example we had coal mining in larger parts of my state, especially around the area of Dortmund. It is and was a huge part of the heritage of that region and the main employment for such a long time. That changed and it wasn't feasible enough against other nations like China that floaded the market with cheap coal. People rallied to keep it alive and the government spend who knows how much on subsidies. The necessary change the region needed to other fields and building up different industries never happened. That fucked the region and it's still in a huge transition to this day.
While I understand that people don't want to give up parts of their heritage, things that made the region big, I just don't see any reason to keep that shit going on forever. People need to accept that some things will not change.
Just like I have to accept that disgusting plastic clubs are a thing.
Edit
Yeah the Spanish government is also fucking up big time. I already said how much I despise the spanish police, those guys are massive assholes and have proven it more than once.
By Meier Go To PostKane has been on another level than Suarez over the past year. As a pure striker, I don't think anyone is better than him right now. It's a cake walk to score in that Barca team – what last season showed is how much Neymar underperformed.Pure striker? as in a classic 9? Modern CFs are the standard of this era. If you wish to compete against Real Madrid or Barcelona, classic nines are obsolete and are not the way to go.
At Real Madrid, if all you can do is score goals, then you don't belong here. A Real Madrid centre-forward is expected to do much more than just score goals. It's half the reason why Benzema get so much leeway. His link up and play making ability is valued greatly. Especially when the main goal threat is Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid do not require pure Strikers we require multifaceted forwards who can do it all.
It's why we were after M'bappe last summer who was far more talented than Harry Kane. Can play all forward positions, can shoot, can dribble, pass. Could do it all and was supposed to be Benzema's successor. Benzema would be his mentor and help fully realize his potential. Damn you PSG... Ruining my dreams of a Benzema 2.0.

By TurokTTZ Go To PostSuarez 38 goals 17-18 assists vs Kane 35 goals 7 assists last season. I won't judge a CF who's currently on bad form to be lesser only 3 months of football in. Way too early for that. Suarez is a lot more accomplished than Kane too. Though I dislike using stats as Suarez has a completely different profile vs Kane. Comparing apples and oranges.
I don't even like Suarez but i won't deny his quality. Just because he's shit now won't mean he will be shit later. Sorry if I'm trying to be objective.
I think it's a little unfair to compare goals, considering Suarez got 37 to Kane's 35, but having played in some 13 games more than Kane. It's hard to really judge, because I don't know how many minutes were played, etc.
I do agree though, that it's maybe a little early to judge them against each other in their entirety, and also that Suarez is more accomplished, but Kane has absolutely been the better striker in 2017 for me at least.
re: separation
I've lived in Toronto (Ontario) and Montreal (Quebec) and witnessed the first hand effects of what separation can do to a province/state that threatens to separate. You see, Quebec has been declaring to separate from Canada for decades now, since the 70's really, up until not too long ago. This ambitious dream to declare Quebec as a country, and not just the French province of Canada. As you can imagine, this caused a massive, massive concern for the business and investment sector. What business or investor would want to pour money into Quebec with all this uncertainty? So naturally, what started to happen in the 70's (when Quebec first threatened to declare independence) is all of the businesses and investments started to flow out of Quebec and into Toronto... This exodus of business and investment continued for decades, up until recently. Whats worse? An exodus of expertise, knowledge and brains went along with it. People left Quebec, fast. Most of them went to Toronto.
So, at 1 time during the 60's and 70's you had billboard signs that read NEW YORK, MONTREAL, HONG KONG, PARIS, LONDON... But that started to change from the 70's and onward, Montreal dropped off the face of the earth when the money left, as such, the new billboards no longer read MONTREAL, instead, TORONTO took its place. Fast forward, the threat of separation from the Quebec Party lasted for decades, meaning, for decades Toronto was the beneficiary of it all. As a result, Montreal went into a economic depression. While Toronto was booming with business and wealth, Montreal was barely making it.
Then, the French population finally woke up. They began to see that their heritage, language and tradition can co-exist with Canada. They started campaigns to lure creative agencies (Video game companies at first), then the threat of separation died, meaning businesses were guaranteed a stable province in which they can operate from (Quebec setup Research & Development funds almost giving it away to anyone that starts a business), immigrants started to pour into Quebec again (mainly Chinese, Haitian, Arab and French from France), a push to get rid of the corrupt governments began, condos built, new infrastructure like bridges and new train systems, and finally Montreal hit it big with a massive tech boom - as it's now considered an AI city hub - Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, and so many other tech companies have setup shop here. It's fucking great.
I visit Toronto sometimes and I laugh at how good they got it, smart people were running that city so as to leverage the separation threats of Quebec. Toronto is like a New York, literally known as the New York of Canada. However, Montreal is making positive moves finally and 1 day I hope I can see Montreal back with the greats like London, Paris and Hong Kong.
All that being said, Catalan people should think twice about separation. The consequences can be devastating and its effects can be felt for decades.

Madrid would die to get Kane to replace Benzema. Benzema is a non-entity in 2017. There are a million better options than him. But who's going to pay his wages and what Madrid would want? Mbappe is an entirely different player than Kane -- comparing them directly is nonsensical. I'm a huge fan of his but I'm not going to say he's more talented than Kane because a.) he hasn't shown that he's as effective as an actual goal-scoring forward yet and b.) they're so far removed from being the same type of player that it is a pointless discussion.

You have to remember that in a world where power and influence is increasingly centralised the threat of separation/independence is an important check and balance.
It's obv going a bit too far in Spain, from my perspective, but it's mostly because Castille has never taken seriously the wants and needs of its 'regional' states.

Gonna start on the rewiring next I think. Looks dead easy.
We can cope without Coutinho against Hudders. If we fail to win the game it won’t be because we didn’t have Phil, it’ll be because Firmino, Salah and AOC couldn’t finish their chances and because Mignolet threw the ball into our own net.
