By Oddinho Go To PostMessi and Ronaldo are strikers as well.
I think they are not world class since they are outta this world
CR7 > Benzema > Suarez > Lewa > Auba/Ibra. my top 5 cf currently.
Not adding mehssi because Mehssi is more of an AM than he is a CF. CR7 has been essentially a CF since last season. Both CR7 and Benz are off in form atm but dare not underestimate them. Form is temporary, Class is permanent.
...wait where does nerman fall in this? is he a cf or is he on the wing nowadays?

Basically Ronaldo and Messi is something else.
Everyone else is at a level below them.
Genuinely thought at one point that they might change the rules of the game because of Messi & Cristiano...
By Vivalapizza Go To PostHas Kane ever scored against United?
Last season he scored in the 2-1 win at WHL.
If he is out then at least we have an experienced player coming in and not Janssen. Llorente won't be intimidated by the occasion.
Unless everyone can agree on an objective classification of what is world class then the topic should go in a dumspter fire.
It's bad enough people giving their opinions on how good players are and they don't even have a clear idea of the category they are trying to place them in.

pretty much all attempts at ranking players, even in the same position, especially using arbitrary definitions like “world class” is never going to get a valuable discussion going anywhere.
I prefer thinking of players in more relative terms, what they do for their teams and their playstyles and talents.
Very few players can just be transplanted from one team to another and be as effective. Liverpool only has maybe two players that I think would be just as good or better playing for anyone, Coutinho and Mane. But Milner, Lallana, Firmino and Can are great players for Liverpool because of how Klopp uses them.
But while on topic I do think pretty much everyone at Real Madrid is world class except maybe Benzema. He’s easily their worst player and has been for the last 4-5 years

I'd rate Benz above a few others though.
Carvejal, Bale, Kovacic, Varane are a step below.
Still, Real have quite possibly on paper the best squad in the world.

Off course, Benz had his off days and I wouldn't rate him world class anymore but he's in the top 10 for forwards for sure.
Imagine if Real had Kane though.
Personally I can’t think of a single Premier League team that Benzema could start for. Maybe Everton since they couldn’t get Giroud, but that’s about it. I guess he’d be a better backup to Kane than Llorente.
There.
There.
Carvajal has stepped up massively over the last 2 or so years tbf to him
Become a great rightback, while Danilo was presumably signed to replace him and failed to get anywhere near. With Ronaldo's gametime being managed and Benzema's personal game getting worse and worse, I don't think 'he gives Ronaldo a platform' is a valid excuse for him any more. Could easily be replaced by a lot of strikers, but its probably not necessary just yet, especially considering how expensive proven strikers are. Next summer though, surely.

Bascially Messi and Ronaldo are in their own tiers, no one is touching them for a long long time imo. But then you have that tier below them where lots of great players are and Kane is in there for sure.
It's done, lock it up, throw away the key

By Elchele Go To PostAnyone actually believes Kane or Sterling are world class? The only British player who was in that level recently is Bale.

A sonnet (traditional Romantic fourteen line poem) in iambic pentameter (ten beats per line, unstressed/stressed pairs) with an alternate rhyme scheme
It's Danny Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck
Who makes the other players look like shit
He definitely deserves more respect
And I bet he's great at finding the clit
He attacks it with his pace and finesse
Just like that goal against Swansea (yes Moyes)
To have him in our lives we're truly blessed
And I wish he was into porking boys
Then I could get my turn with sweet Danny
We could take a rumble in the jungle
But sadly he's only into fanny
And very rarely into girls' bumholes
Fuck you Gaal for selling him to Arsenal
Now all I've left in my life is Martial

By Perfect Blue Go To PostMiddle class? I thought that was opioids and what not. Over here cocaine always seemed like the rich, Wall Street investment-types kind of drug.
Cocaine is for the rich in America, crack is for the poor - more often people of colour. This is why you used to get the same prison sentence for having 50 grams of crack as you did for having 5 kilos of cocaine.
Proper shit.
We were pretty good without him earlier this year, but were largely shit without him around this time last year, except for the City game.

We were shit when Janssen played. When Son played we were fine. Either him or Llorente are adequate replacements in the short term.
Wanyama is still out as well, his situation is becoming alarming. I don't think we will see him until 2018.
So Kane is out injured for the United game, i suppose the one good thing about that is as so many people on this board say injuries don't matter it won't effect the game or result.
