Worst part of being the quarterback - no influence over defense.

This is all of us.
But Kib called it early. No confidence. I felt the same way - down to the last few seconds.
I mean if you're Payton what do you say in the team locker room lmao. Win as a team lose as a team and all but uh...
By Mariosalic Go To PostSorry KibnerLook up River City Relay and Beastquake if you want to see me In Saints - related pain.
I was rooting for you
By DY_nasty Go To Postdiggs just morphed into kanye he is GONE from this planet right now lmao
Lol. Right!? He’s thanking God like angels tripped Willliams and gave him speed.
I do love when they acknowledge God - I just don’t think He takes sides. If he did, Angels and Saints would be His teams. Lol.
By DY_nasty Go To Postdiggs just morphed into kanye he is GONE from this planet right now lmaoDude he is ready to cut a promo right now if they gave him time. He is hype as fuck right now, He was the #1 WR of the team but most of the year he had been relegated to 2nd WR due to the emergence of Adam Thielen. He's a very emotional guy.
By The Frankman Go To PostOH MY GOD.

The worst part of it is that Marcus Williams isn't a grizzled vet that he's seen stuff and that may not bother him. He's a rookie who has played great this season... that shit can fuck you up for life, look at Solomon Torres in MLB.

At the end of the days, they’re pros, but they’re human. This crap happens to all of us. Just usually not in front of the whole world.
Deion Sanders on NFL Network is saying Williams needs to go off the grid.

Williams was clearly trying to force himself to not catch a penalty, so he pulled up so much he just whiffed.
that's just bad luck.

LOL right after the play.
By Trey Go To PostWilliams was clearly trying to force himself to not catch a penalty, so he pulled up so much he just whiffed.Okay you pull up.... but he ducked his head and tackled BLIND. That's exactly what they say DON'T do because you can seriously injure your neck. Not only did he whiff, he took out the defender next to Diggs who had a chance to tackle him.
that's just bad luck.
Everson Griffen interview on ESPN is the interview of the year. HE HAS DONE LOST HIS MIND, poor Josina Anderson.

By The Frankman Go To PostLike… that is a game that can define or elevate a career. Think Sherman vs. Crabtree.Agreed. A game winner like that can push him up another level
... I feel so bad for that dude.
My brother was in Vegas and had a pretty good sized bet on Seattle during the Seahawks/Patriots Superbowl. When Malcolm Butler had the INT at the 1 my brother was speechless, got in his car and went driving in the desert. It took him 3 years to tell me how much he even bet on the game.

Titans and coach Mike Mularkey "mutually agreed to part ways."Those fools were giving the guy a contract extension as per Saturday night.
The news comes from ESPN's Field Yates. It is a stunning development considering the Titans reportedly offered Mularkey an extension following their loss to the Patriots over the weekend. It is possible that extension came with caveats Mularkey would not accept, such as firing an offensive staff which underperformed in 2017. It was also an open secret the front office wanted to go a different direction even as ownership stood behind the coach, so perhaps the front office finally won out. Whatever the reason, a prime job with a young and promising quarterback has suddenly opened, and that could spell trouble for the teams still looking for coaches. That is especially true for the Colts, who could watch their No. 1 candidate, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, end up with a division rival.

Originally from nola and most of my family still lives there...feel bad for them. That was brutal. Game was so lopsided for almost 3 quarters and then right at the end of the 3rd it became the game everyone expected into the 4th.
It's no exaggeration to say that I could have defended that final play better than Williams, and my career ended after high school. Sure, you can't catch a penalty, but you DEFINITELY can't whiff entirely on a play where all you need to do is get a tackle to end the game. Play the ball and knock it down or hold up and wrap the guy up as soon as he makes the catch, don't get cute and try to undercut a guy. Form tackling has been dead for a while, but maybe this helps put some emphasis back on it.
Now, for the love of all that is good and holy, let's see Jacksonville destroy Tom Brady's pocket all game long this upcoming weekend.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports a group of the Steelers' limited partners want coach Mike Tomlin fired.Practically ditched Haley lol.
Tomlin has never had a losing season in 11 years with the Steelers while winning at least 10 games eight times, but that record has not prevented his name from popping up in rumors the last couple years. To be fair to the rabble-rousers, the Steelers have not been to the Super Bowl since 2010 and have made the Championship Game just once over that run, arguably an underachievement given the talent on the roster. Still, it remains unlikely Tomlin is shown the door, but perhaps the discontent will lead to changes to his staff. For what it is worth, Tomlin did not throw his support behind OC Todd Haley when given the chance during his season-ending press conference.
