By The Frankman Go To PostWhy? Do you know the tradition of great Giants QBs? It's not a race thing as they have had blacks QBs in the past, they weren't any good though.
i do know the history. im just saying. 92 years. thousands of games. a black dude has never once started at QB for yall?
even through injury or just seeing what you have at the end of a dud season.
it'd be easier to believe that it's incorrect actually.
Black QBs aren't exactly numerous in the NFL... the Giants have had numerous black backup QBs over the last 10-20 years, but if you look at who the Giants starting QBs were those years... yeah, zero chance of starting. Phil Simms, Jeff Hostetler, a reinvigorated Kerry Collins, Kurt Warner post-Rams and then Eli Manning. Multiple SuperBowls in there or guys who won rings with other teams.
It's more opportunity than anything else, if the Giants had a high draft pick a few years ago they would've picked RGIII in all probability.

That TNF game was an abomination
Speaking after Thursday night's Week 2 loss to the Texans, A.J. Green intimated he needs the ball more.
"We are playing like sh– right now. We got to find a way to get our playmakers the ball. That's it. It's a superstar-driven league," Green, one of the league's true superstars, said. "I feel like – no disrespect to nobody else – that ball should be mine somewhere somehow. … I want the ball." Green has seen a combined 18 targets through two games, which is good volume, but considering how poorly this offense has played, he needs it even more. Expect the Bengals to regroup and grease the squeaky wheel come Week 3 against Green Bay.
Speaking on his Week 1 role against the Vikings, Adrian Peterson said he "didn't sign up for nine snaps" when he joined the Saints.SQUEAKY FUCKING WHEEL
Peterson was out-snapped 31-26-9 by Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram in that order. "I didn’t sign up for nine snaps, but unfortunately that’s the way the game played out," Peterson said. "In my mind, I knew it was gonna take some adjusting. You know, me and Mark played in the last preseason game, AK didn’t even play that game. So with all three of us being out there, I knew it would take a game or so to kind of get adjusted." Better days are ahead for Peterson, but it was pretty evident in the opener that he's miscast in this offense as a running back who offers nothing in the pass game. Peterson will need the Saints to get leads so he can salt away the clock in the second half. He also figures to get some goal-line work.
When isn't a TNF game not a shit show. I didn't think the NFL could become over saturated, but Thursday night games are proof that its possible.

It's because when a really good QB is in the draft the Giants are usually just good enough to not actually have a shot at him
Bengals fired OC Ken Zampese.thank God. This guy tried to be Sean Payton without the personnel and the QB.
The move reminds of Buffalo's post-Week 2 firing of OC Greg Roman in 2016, which didn't exactly have great results. Roman was the fall guy for the Bills' inept defense. This is different from that standpoint, though. Zampese's offense was completely inept in each of the first two games, failing to show any ability to compensate for obviously-deficient offensive line play, using a wholly ineffective three-way RBBC that somehow, inexplicably still employs Jeremy Hill, and failed to get A.J. Green the ball on a consistent basis. The Bengals have played two games and scored zero touchdowns. Whereas Roman's firing was questionable, this one is 100-percent deserved.
This game got Zeke talking to himself... If you can get the Cowboys down more than 7 points, they are screwed.

I'm sorry for anyone who had to watch that football game Monday Night.
As a tolerant Giants fan I think Reese needs to be fired for not addressing the terrible O-Line.

Giants coach Ben McAdoo says the team is "absolutely" sticking with Ereck Flowers at left tackle for Week 3....
Flowers got his soul owned on Monday Night Football, single-handedly ending Ziggy Ansah's pass-rushing slump. He was whipped for three sacks, more or less torpedoing the Giants' offense. Flowers was just as bad in Week 1, as well as the preseason. The G-Men are running low on viable alternatives, but are likely nearing "anyone but Flowers" territory.
flowers looked like he wasn't even trying. or at least i hope he wasnt. because if he's just that bad...
Ok so I was looking at NFL Draft Player Profiles and comparisions and I went to check out the Titans' RB Derrick Henry and got this...
why NFL?

The Steelers decided to forgo the conversation and stayed in the tunnel during the anthem. How noble of them to not take sides sending off a mixed message. Pussies.

This Thursday Night Game better be good. I finally have full time Internet and TV and I deserve an overtime classic.

Ppatriots two-facedness about their defensive issues is hilarious. Like they haven't let great talent walk repeatedly over the last 4 years. The thing is when you keep letting talent go and the guys you do sign get hurt/don't work out, you're fucked.
