Sounds like they're trying to make you play (read: grind) for the rank this year rather than paying. I mean you could pay to get to 85 like he did, but that's a extra $50, and even then you still not close to a 90 rating.

I think it's going to be $50 to get them to 85, the fact they got rid of rep though and have made your rating that important tells me it's gonna be a pain in the ass to get VC and they've done everything in their power to get you to buy it.

You can level up through ProAm and Park now though, so it's hopefully a bit easier.

You could get VC in park & ProAm before, the only difference is now you can get badges in those modes. But, you're still going to need VC to pay for the attributes and 200,000 to get to 85 is more than it took to get to 88 last year.
Rep is gone so grinding for attribute upgrades is going to be a slow ass process where you barely enough VC.

If they keep the VC costs the same you're better off getting the standard and just buying VC ($20=75k, vs $40 for 100k in Gold edition). Only difference is how much you value the MyTeam packs and other extras.

They'll just be shitty league packs. Wow an extra 10 packs where your best card is a silver Jerryd Bayless or something. Wade & Shaq Dynamic Duo is the best part of that version.

Made a 6'9 3pt Shooter / Shot Creator
O girl at the registration counter acted like she was ready to lay it down right then and there they way she talking to you lol. Played a single game. Felt good imo.
Same with 5v5. Maybe the new momentum system or whatever they were hyping was legit because it did feel different.

The spacing and shooting is so good in the 5v5 2KU. Fuck. Hope it's not terrible on higher difficulty(and we can make some contested shots). It also seems like shorter guys like IT2 and CP3 may be viale. They weren't getting 100% of their shit blocked.

The 2ku 5 on 5 isn't bad but there's some stupid shit going on there, the transition defense is terrible if you get the board and push it. The CPU defenders almost always sink in to protect the paint even when your shooters are flaring out to the corners. Also, speaking of the corner, for some reason LeBron will completely abandon KD in the corner to help out on a Draymond drive from the other corner. I ran the same play 3 times in a row just to see if it would happen and it worked every time, Dray and KD facing each other in opposite corners, LeBron is cheating off KD before Dray dribbles but the second you dribble and go to the paint LeBron will sprint over to try and stop the drive and you get a wide open shot.
