By Officer_lool Go To PostWe might see Carrick and Fellaini as midfield for us on Sunday! It's Everton.
You'll be fine.
By batong Go To PostIt's Everton.Wayne Rooney hat trick incoming.

In hindsight Mou should have rested a few players on Tuesday. Our squad isn't thin but the drop from first team to 2nd is quite huge. More so in the striker department till Zlatan returns but Pogba had played 4games in what 15days silly to risk him.
ESPN'S article about 3 players to look out for : Joris Gnagnon, Inaki Williams and Bruno Fernandes
Can't say enough good things about Bruno Fernandes, he is definitely a player with a great future.
5 goals (most of them brilliant finishes) and 3 assists in 8 games, he has been amazing and quickly turned into Sporting's main man this season.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostDamn, poor FF. First he moves to Michigan now this.m8, PL clubs have been stealing our players since City stole Sturridge.
How's the pace for the final version of PES for those that bought it? Same as beta, same as demo? Demo looked too fast, beta looked spot on.
Better have improved AI for keepers and defenders too, defenders just let you keep gaining ground on them without ever taking you on. Even on superstar.

Similar to beta I assume even though I didn't play it. Much slower than the demo though.
Kovacic out for 2 months.. Huge blow.
Every year we get crazy ass injuries, Benzema out for 1 month, you know Bale will be out for 3 months soon. Who else next?
In more positive news, Marcelo has extended as expect. I love this man so much.

I always find it baffling when big team supporters talk about injuries being huge blows, as if their benches didn't have enough quality to be starters for most of the teams in Europe. Imagine if they had to deal with losing 3 or 4 starting even players on a yearly-basis, they'd lose their minds.
700m buyout clause, is probably right now one of our most important players behind Ronaldo, Modric and Kroos.
By Frustrated_me Go To Post700m buyout clause, is probably right now one of our most important players behind Ronaldo, Modric and Kroos.I remember like 2-3 years ago when there was talk that he could be sold, massive turnaround from then. Right about when Zidane took over now I think about it.

Every team, no matter the depth, has a preferred starting 11. Modric's injury during Carlo's last year cost us the title, 1 player injured, title gone. Poof.

"If I'm not in the starting 11, then it's my fault, I need to prove myself more"
He never gave up, even with talks of Barcelona wanting hi to replace Iniesta. He did what he needed to do to bench 1 of the BBC, no small victory there.
By Pele.gif Go To PostHistorical day for the Europa League today lads
The path to quarter finals starts now.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostWhat there to be baffled about m8? Every team, no matter the depth, has a preferred starting 11. Modric's injury during Carlo's last year cost us the title, 1 player injured, title gone. Poof. That's because managers are incompetent, simple as. If a player like Modric can decide whether you win a title or not, you must be doing a really shitshow job as a manager. Beyond incompetent. Most teams have a preferred starting 11 because those are theoretically the best players available. Because most teams don't have 11 world class players.
And now we look at the Madrid bench:
13. Casilla
6. Nacho
11. Bale
14. Casemiro
15. Theo
22. Isco
24. Ceballos.
Aside from a couple of them, which one of these wouldn't be a starter in most teams in Europe?
And for perspective's sake, let's also do this:
1.
2. Carvajal
4. Ramos
5.
8. Kroos
9.
10. Modric
12.
17. Lucas Vázquez
20. Asensio
23. Kovacic
Those are gone after the transfer market closed, if you're not a club in the main 3 leagues. So, yeah, a Kovacic injury isn't a huge blow, by any stretch of the imagination. And Modric being injured wouldn't cost any decent manager worth their shit a title.

It's hard to imagine or recall an Ozil that isn't playing under Wenger but he did ok with Mou last time.
Would be decent on a free anyways.

He was by far the best playmaker in the world under Mou.

To your point, the bench depth wasn't there that year.
Having said that, Kovacic is a huge blow because I truly think this was his year to explode, he was our best player in the preseason and did incredibly well during the first few showings once the season began. Can we replace him? Of course, we won't even have to change formation. But I stand by what I said, every club in the world has 1-2 players that are just absolutely crucial to their play as the formation/game is built and surrounds them.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostPoint well made, however, Carlo is a decent manager and we lost the league by 1 point that year because we collapsed once Modric got injured.I disagree with this. I think he had his day, many years ago. I think a manager that does not enjoy training sessions and has as few of them as he possibly can is not a decent manager. Nobody can take away from his resume, but those Madrid teams were not well managed, at all. They lived and died by the individual quality of their players. Which is why then you actually believe that Modric being injured dictated an entire league campaign. And on top of that, he won the CL, which just further cements that he knew what he was doing.

And I don't mean bad in the sense that he's just some moron or doesn't know football, I think he believed that having a relationship with the players and making sure things were smooth and egos were soothed was the most important aspect of his job. And he did great at that. But Madrid did not play good football and, when they did, it wasn't the manager's work out there, it was the sheer insane amount of quality available on the pitch.
Zidane, however, has done a tremendous job, you watch Real play and you enjoy watching them. I believe Real are probably the most well-managed team in Europe after Guardiola's Barca. Zidane knows exactly how to get the best out of each position and especially out of each player, which is fucking remarkable. Look no further than Ramos being a simple link between Kroos and Varane during build-up. He does not have characteristics for more than that and Zidane understood it.
