By Officer_lool Go To PostSo not only was Rooney caught driving drunk but apparently he was not even driving his car but the car of a woman who he had met at a bar and made out with.Is the made out bit confirmed?
Carbo, can you confirm please.
By batong Go To PostIs the made out bit confirmed? Why else would he be driving her car? Dont tell me you actually believe that Rooney was a concerned man about the well being of a woman who was drunk and didnt want to let her drive?

By Francis Go To PostKrychowiak and Renato Sanches were offered to West Ham, but they turned them down. 💀I smell bullshit, West Ham's president also claimed Sporting were desperately trying to sell William on the last day but West Ham refused because they thought they didn't have enough time.
Barca have gone off the deep end. Scheduled a press conference to explain why they couldn't buy players during the transfer window.

He actually blames Bilić for not getting any of the targets over line.
Very nice to throw your - as of yet - manager under the bus.

We contacted Liverpool about Coutinho and they didn't want to sell and he didn't seem keen to push for it
So we went with our tried and true method of approaching his family members and entourage to find some hard-asses to pressure him into agitating
But to our surprise Liverpool still didn't want to sell
We even tried pressuring the player through media to have him submit a transfer request the day before a hugely important match.
Strangely, this didn't convince Liverpool to do business.
Next we waited for another season-defining match to release fake media reports to really piss them off. That didn't work either, wtf?
Finally, we put a bid in just before the window closed before they had a chance to replace him, way below the club's valuation. Shockingly, this didn't work either.
We're stumped. If you think you can do better then be my guest.
Barcelona claim Liverpool offered them Coutinho for €200 million, at the last minute.
An old fashioned "Fuck you!"-statement from the latter.

why would anyone lie about a medical?
I genuinely think Coutinho has been done by those who surround him, had his head turned when the dude was perfectly content. He has every right to want to move, Barça is the best of the best in my book. However Klopp said it right when he said there's a price for any player when the timing makes sense, but when the timing fucks your season then it would be wrong to sell.
Some clubs put themselves at the mercy of those above them and can ask for nothing more than to make it through the summer unmolested, but if you have serious ambition you need to stick to your vision.

Face saving exercise from Barca. Only would believe a price if it came from a trusted Liverpool reporter. The line has always been that Liverpool never entertained any negotiations.
Also I realize the above post is sentence to sentence completely shitty and lacks any cohesion. It's 10pm I've been drinking all day

Just wait for Bernardeschi ;((

LOL 183m for Coutinho, what in the world. Good player but really? He's not even the best Liverpool player.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostJust wait for Bernardeschi ;((A non-deluded manager would've gone with 4-3-3.
Buffon; Darmian, Barzagli, Bonucci, Spinazzola; Verratti, De Rossi, Parolo; Bernardeschi, Belotti, Insigne

Give me Benassi/Pellegrini instead of Parolo
He is our best player, it's nice that we have guys like Mane, Can, Firmino, Lallana and others who can all individually change games, but Coutinho is our best player, I think.
I don't think 183 was a real value anyway. It's not like "this is the amount the player is valued" it's more like a "if you're gonna fuck up everything we know and hold dear you better be willing to pay out your tight little buttholes for it" price
Really hope Messi decides to leave Barça. Would be the biggest sporting story of the year. "I'm taking my talents to Anfield Road"
If anyone believes that £183 figure then you're fucking naive.
We consistently said no-deal at every step of the way. To be quite honest - were I in charge of matters at the club - I'd bullishly come out and go for the jugular on Barcelona. I'd release a statement proving the lies of their desperate board, and I'd tell Coutinho that the only way he plays a minute of the season and takes his place at the World Cup is by providing some form of evidence proving communication to pressure him and his representatives into the action taken. Then I'd stick a cosmic transfer ban on them.
Really like Barcelona. My missus is from Barcelona. Like the club and what they stand for. Like many of their players. But this current incarnation of senior management are poison and need to be executed (figuratively).

Also, I rewatched the entire 90 minute broadcast of the Arsenal match today, because I was at the match. Lots to pick up on that I didn't get from the game, especially the performance of the back four. Arsenal were poor, no doubt, but very few teams would've survived that performance. If we play like that against City we'll beat them comfortably. They've looked poor this season and need a smacking from a team with serious mojo.
For all the worthy Alexander-Arnold praise it's worth noting that Joe Gomez has been quietly excellent.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostWhy would it be naive to believe it? It's a crazy counter offer for coutinho. It could be a power play, rather than an actual serious counter offer to start negotiations.Because we firmly and publicly had zero intention to sell the player from the moment Barcelona expressed interest. There is nothing to gain from putting a price on his head, particularly once the transfer window in England had closed and a replacement was entirely impossible. There is no power to be gained. The power is in rebuffing every approach, which we did, not implying that we'd be willing to let him go (even for an astronomical figure).
It just didn't happen. It makes zero logical sense. It is contrary to everything reported about the player from non-Catalan (briefed) sources (and that includes Duncan Castles). Barcelona were and are in the middle of a desperate PR war. Their fans vociferously dislike the current regime. Think about it and join the dots.
Not once did Liverpool enter into serious dialogue with Barcelona about the player. It's in Barcelona's best interests to claim that they took a level of financial responsibility at the last breath and withdrew from a deal (there never was a deal to withdraw from, which is the real embarrassment here).
By Shanks D Zoro Go To Postgood on barcelona not to be held hostage by Liverpool on a mediocre player.
Was on display last Sunday. Ozil. Ramsey. Welbeck. Lazazette. Monreal. Holding (probably doing him a favour there). Xhaka (ditto). Coquelin.
By Oddinho Go To PostShanks I will slap you.
Do you even know the meaning of mediocre
yes, not sustaining one's ability for 90 minutes for a game, let alone week in week out.
