By Kidjr Go To Posti think rose will stay.
At the end of the day, you can still find a bargain and you can still overpay for a flop, so saying you get what you pay for and the market dictates value is a bit redundant, if largely true
If it was always the case, football would be shit
Meier is right though in terms of it being harder to blood a centreback in at a top club than other positions, or lesser clubs, and I can see that ultimately preventing Holding from making it at Arsenal even though I think he has the ability

Imagine spending 150 million pounds on transfers only to be square with an 8th placed team from Cyprus.

By Scum Go To PostAlli and Toby will the first out of the door.
Then Rose.
Then Eriksen and Vertoghen.
Then Dier.
Rose will be gone very soon, with the total silence on his injury I'm starting to doubt he will even play for us again. If Man City want to buy him in January we should take the money and bring Ryan Sessegnon to compete with Ben Davies. As for the others Levy has been clear with all the players and their agents that nobody will be allowed to leave until we have had one season in the new stadium. We didn't sweat blood and endure this season at Wembley just to flog the stars before the stadium opens.
Those Blade Runner impressions are getting me excited. Just one week to go...
By n8 dogg Go To PostGonna rewatch the first one this week. Havent seen it for like 10 years
Same. Downloaded the final cut recently.
By flinbad the flailer Go To PostIs there a reason to believe Eric Kohn isn't just wrong? Other than hype. No, but don't worry. It won't take long for the first "BR 2049 is overrated, just like the original" threads to pop up.
I'm hoping to catch a screening on the 5th. I really wish I could see it in a hi-end theater, but alas, nothing of the sort near where I live.

What is there to be wrong about? He isn't stating a fact.
I generally like his reviews and have somewhat similar taste in film.
By hixx Go To PostThe first one literally sent me to sleep but I will try and watch it before I go see 2049.
Yeah same. Hoping I respond to it better now.
Blade Runner is a classic and one of the best sci-fi films ever. Up there with 2001 and Children of Men, for me.
By Wengward Go To PostWhat is there to be wrong about? He isn't stating a fact. Both the connotations and denotations of "wrong" expand well beyond being, say, 'opposed to the facts'. I deployed the word in a common, colloquial way in which the internet and prevalent popular opinions do when referring to such reviews, in which case "wrong" effectively means 'something with which I disagree' (and often times with the corollary of 'and with which you, too, should disagree'.

Personally, I don't give a shit one way or the other. I don't know who Eric Kohn is, and I probably won't watch the new Blade Runner film. It was more a question emerging from mild curiosity than anything else.
I fell asleep the first time I saw it. I was tired.
I enjoyed it more the second/third time. Still not one of my favorites. Read the book a couple of years ago and enjoyed it a lot.

Kane will leave next year when spuds win nothing yet again. Don't get how fans don't understand that football is a players career and that achievements and money for the short 10-15 years go a long way.

By Elchele Go To Post"The mutineers were secretly led by a young black player, who has requested to remain unnamed. When casually asked about it during a pre-match interview, Juventus' Beppe Marotta has refused to comment on the matter. However, as he was leaving the scene, a nearby piadina seller (a rarity in Corso Gaetano Scirea) reportedly heard the phrase 'just according to keikaku' being pronounced just as Marotta was entering his car."

Kevin Doyle retires from football due to headaches caused from heading the ball. Sounds funny but it's rather serious.
