By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostNever heard if a korean name like that.Yeah, I saw a different account reply to Noble saying "I'm South Korean"
By Oddinho Go To PostActually I think our defense is okay. They make some howlers from time to time but our major functional problem is lack of midfield protection. No center back looks good when they're 1 on 1 fifty times a game
Yeah I mean defence as a team, not just your back 5.
Earlys thinks that because Liverpool statistically prevent teams from having many shots and try to force the game to be played in the opponent's half that this is good systemic defending, despite that the conversion rate of chances against Liverpool is higher than other top 6 teams.
I think he started writing the article arguing that Liverpool should not start sitting deeper to improve their defence as this would compromise their attacking system and their defence isn't nearly so bad as everyone's saying. Fair enough-ish. Then it appears he started smoking some meth mid way through and contorted that argument into well look here Liverpool reduce the number of shots teams take against them so really they're just unlucky/their goalkeeper is just bad, and it definitely isn't down to Klopp/the system.
Liverpool allow good quality, high-conversion chances against them because of the way they set up and the lack of help their midfield provides. And that's before we get to the discussion about set-pieces, which Earlys doesn't even bother touching, because apparently that has nothing to do with defending either. Nor does the number of actual, real life goals they concede. It's all, like, an illusion or something.
By Zabojnik Go To PostSpeaking of PES, someone point me to the best OF / mod / whatever for PC. And by someone I mean Cavalo.
Conte to Milan next year confirmed.
I'm using PES World but they've not released all of theirs yet. May want to check PES Universe too.
Liverpool don't actually allow high quality shots against them. In expgG terms the Liverpool defence is just as good as the other top teams. Where it falls down is in set piece defending, where Liverpool are among the worst for expG. At least that was the case last season.
Thus far this season Liverpool have done well in limiting expG against and have been unfortunate in the number of conversions, but that is to be expected with a small sample.

Incredible.
But I actually dont think liverpool are that bad defending but its more to do with Klopps system. If you beat those press traps they set you're in, all it takes is one ball (aruably a very clever and good ball) and you've beaten like 5 player and straight in at the back four.
I mean if I was manager I would set up for myself to be allowed into trap-press, because if I beat it I'm in and you're fucked.
By Ushojax Go To PostIncredible stat in the Times today. Since Arsenal last scored an away goal, Spurs have scored 21 away from home. How many away goals have Arsenal scored since Spurs last won a trophy?

Liverpool have bad CBs that apparently don't speak the same language. The lack of a quality holding mid doesn't help either but it's how they're conceding that stands out on tape.
In six games they've conceded 11 goals, 2 by setpiece. More than half these goals were easily avoidable if not for an individual mistake.
They just need better players. Klopp can put players in positions to be successful but he can't do the work for them.

Not tempted at all so far.
He did well against Duncaster tho. League 1 team.
By Kidjr Go To PostHow tempted would arsenal slaent be to ease jack back into our midfield?
If he is healthy and can play we should use him. As long as Ramsey is healthy and doesn't need a rest I can't see Jack getting in ahead of him.

What happens between law school; practicing law; and then sitting on the bench to make judges somehow the stupidest people in the entire process outside of running for public office? Some of the rulings you read about are truly incredible.
