Honestly, I think Falcao's resurgence has more to do with Jardim more than anything else. Wouldn't have gotten (back) there without him.
I'll never forget that United winner against Everton.
Or those magical runs into space - which no one picked up on.

By Fergie Go To PostGOT DAMN!
By Hitch Go To PostCavani is obviously a very good striker, he has perhaps the best ability to sniff out a chance of any striker in the world, but he will get PSG knocked out of the CL
By Hitch Go To PostBased on the silly number of big chances he missesThis is a very different argument than the one you originally tried to make. How many goals you accumulate across an entire season is very different from the number of goals you slot in when your club most needs it. It's why Ronaldo's numbers above weren't so flattering, while he was, regardless, one of the finest footballers in the world.
flabber can shove his stats up his aris
Cavani in crucial matches for PSG and Uruguay has admittedly been underwhelming. But he certainly knew how to perform for Napoli when we needed him most.
By Cleff Go To PostClinton N'Jie is the third highest goalscorer in Ligue 1 and Janssen scored a goal with his first shot for Fenerbache. They'll be back. 💰
What a time for Tottingham rejects.

Calling my post an argument at all is being very generous anyway, just a somewhat facetious prediction
Obviously a striker isn't going to singlehandedly lose a match unless they're John Walters that time he missed 2 penalties and scored an own goal.
I genuinely expect him to miss too many big chances in whichever round PSG get knocked out in, but in all likelihood there will obviously be mistakes at the back and/or team-wide capitulations as happened last season as well
By Wengward Go To PostSaying one player will get you knocked out of the cl is just so dumb.Mario Gomez

I don't really know what I actually think about the numbers that would be involved if a Lewandowski or Kane played for PSG
Obviously it's easy to assume that better strikers = more goals, but it's tough to say seriously that anybody aside from Ronaldo (don't even think you could assume Messi would do it consistently) would score more than 50 a season even if they played with all the advantages that playing for PSG provide
It just feels wrong to think that anybody could make a habit of scoring more than that. Then again, I thought that about a 1 in 1 record before Ronaldo and Messi started doing it.
Forget about Ronaldo and Messi. Hell, even Cavani.
The striker of the future is Pietro Pellegri: 16-years old, the youngest goal-scorer in the Abyss's history, with 3 goals in 131 minutes of his professional career, and doing it all for fucking Genoa against the two capital clubs.
70+ a year at PSG for the next 15 years.

By Grizzled Cola Go To PostWas so great watching Rooney and not noticing or caring when he made a mistakeHe had his usual poor touches and passes but he was still the single source of any danger that Everton posed. Had a couple of chances and played 3/4 really nice balls in behind Young/Jones.
He was certainly more impactful than the £45m man Gylfi Sigurddson.

Koeman is yet to play Sigurðsson as a 10. His actual position.
Baffling decision to even buy him, if that's not the main plan.
4-2-3-1 would utilise his capabilities to the fullest and serve Everton so much better in general.
They need to go back to basics.

Question is is there genuinely much we can do about our midfield issue today without Pogba? Because we are so riped to be exposed, it was very very sad at times.
Expectations around the boy Naby are going to be crazy when he arrives
We've obviously been desperate to sign him, even neglecting the position this season to tie him down for next, he's taking the number 8 afaik, and he has a reputation for doing everything to a very high standard, which makes me assume he'll be Kante, Gerrard and Hazard rolled into one

It has to be Herrera Matic and maybe Mata in a 3
By domino Go To PostYeah. Don't play fellaini and Matic together.See Herrera is an improvement technically, but it still doesnt solve any problems, he hasnt got the range of passing, attacking positioning or ability to move forward and transition the play. Hes a cart horse who is good at small stuff, and when given a very specific defensive task can do it, but hes still very limited. We have a huge, huge, huge issue of transitioning the play without Pogba or Carrick in the team.

What annoyed me in last night's game is that I think our players were too soft on Rooney.
It's like they refuse to properly tackle him out of respect.

He's holding his own in Genoa's first squad, but can he do it on a cold winter Saturday night vs. Cittadella, playing for Juve's primavera?

Valencia / Aguero (3rd) goals were brilliant.

Think one loss will be the start of chaos in that dressing room.
Don't like Neymar in the slightest.
Gonna be shit when he's the best player in the world. At least Ronaldo is begrudgingly admirable. Save us Woodburn.

Should've been forced to enter rehab.
