I didn't expect Cazorla to play for us again but leaving him out of the squad until January just shows you that Wenger knew he was going to be out for a long time and still didn't even look for a replacement all summer.
By jts Go To PostIf Liverpool doesn't call Barça out on their bullshit, the €200m figure is more than likely true. This is also not true.
Whatever private anger may exist there's definite ramifications from a big European club engaging in a public dispute with another. I would do it, personally, but I'm emotional and not representative of Liverpool football club. It doesn't make sense to burn the relations between the two clubs on the basis of this, particularly as the people at the heart of it, Bartomeu et al are all more than likely on their way out. Simon Hughes did a really good piece on Pep Segura which you should read.
There are many reasons why Liverpool shouldn't and probably won't call out Barcelona on this. Doesn't mean it is true and doesn't mean the club aren't furious with Barcelona. We lack some important elements in the boardroom, conviction isn't one of them.

With the current selection headache of Lacazette, Giroud and Welbeck I thought the stories about demanding Sergio Aguero as part of a Sanchez deal were absolutely unbelievable. There seems to be a complete lack of strategy and thought behind Arsenal's scouting, transfer and selection policy.
Not to mention the serious idea that you could lose a player like Mustafi at this stage, without finding a replacement.

Don't really see what we'd gain by putting a price on Coutinho
Firstly, if Barca wilted, we'd have no time to replace him. Secondly, they were never gonna pay that much for him. Most importantly, we need to get Coutinhos head back on straight, and back in the team. Whether you agree with us keeping him or not, it's shows how highly he is regarded. If not by Klopp, then at least by the owners and fans. Putting a daft price on him on the final day of the window would only piss him off. Maybe he deserves it, but it's already a very delicate situation, both sides will have to walk on egg shells for a few weeks at least.

It's Barca.
They're lying to save face.
I mean just take a look at their behaviour to approach both Dembele/Coutinho.
There's really not more to add.

This the whatsapp post that mistakenly revealed the surprise stag to to the stag?
By Hitch Go To PostDon't really see what we'd gain by putting a price on CoutinhoYou'd gain either 200 million euro or get to keep the player. Gambling for desperate mode Barça. The team has already played without him, and is doing ok. Really not far fetched at all.

Barça can probably just as easily show to Cout or his agent that the offer existed if it did. Liverpool relations with the player are already poor beyond a certain saturation point that this hardly can affect it much.

Every time I see Keith Andrews I can't stop thinking about that incredible head of hair.

Congratulations, you don't need to watch it.
Bring on Spain-Italy
Apparently we've qualified for the WC already. Neat.
Osorio is good at setting up teams to win vs weaker opponents but we suffer against good ones. It's not gonna be a good WC I think.

God damn this thread is so incredibly quiet when there's no football being played. Even on Saturday afternoon
Had an exam this afternoon on financial planning and I come home to find Ireland drawing with fucking Georgia
Been watching this game for 20 minutes and Georgia are playing Ireland off the pitch. Killer Mike will be proud of his boys.

Anyone here recommend a juicer/blender? Want something better than the Breville one I've been using. It isn't useful for soups/stocks.

Messi is Barcelona. He wants changes around the club certainly but he's not going to leave. No chance IMO

Well that's is most likely out of WC contention. Needed to beat Georgia and then go into the Serbia game as a shootout for 1st place. As it is Serbia have gone ahead of us and if Wales win tonight they'll go 2 points behind.
