Thursday Update: Fan base full of Trump supporters believes UT AD is racist. Hard to argue with them at this point.
By jjasper Go To PostApparently not. More interested in the ACC’s version of Butch Jones.
well we're always accepting new fans for UNC football. 8-4 keeps everyone satisfied over here.
Nah, it really isn't.
A&M has never won shit. UT has underachieved over the years but it's easier to win there.
UPDATE: Tennessee has gotten to the point where the coaches at Purdue, Oklahoma State, and NC State are turning up their noses or using a Tennessee offer as leverage for a new deal. Sorry Jasper.

By Randolph Freelander Go To PostTexas just thinks they're better than what they are. Screw those second tier scrubs.Sure, but that applies to many schools including Tennessee and Aggy.
At least Texas can basically print money and get any recruit they want when things are going well. There's a reason they think so highly of themselves.
Don’t be sorry. One the dude from NC State should have never been talked too. This was always going to happen after that “search” that lead to Schiano. The fan base has been dealing with all kinds of bullshit from the athletic department for 10 years now from football to basketball to baseball to women’s sports. It was time to take a stand and this was always going to be the immediate fallout. Just hope that the winner in the power battle that is going on now within the athletic department is on the fans sides
By DY_nasty Go To Posthow does the nc state coach even get a call? lmao
They called Cutcliffe, he said "hold on, let me transfer you..."

God I can't wait for the 30 for 30 on this shit. This was the fans goal all along. Disrupt the power of the atheltics department. We will see what happens from here new coach is secondary to this shit. I am guessing Fulmer is the one driving the insurrection from the inside which is probably bad though.
Not sure what to do about the coaching stuff though. I guess Fulmer as an interim while shit cools and the power structure is shifted? I dunno but don't really care at this point.
You would be correct on that guess:
Thanks for being such a clusterfuck that we were able to keep Gundy even though you backed up the Brinks truck.

I would have liked Leach and think it would have pretty good success (probably about what he has been doing the last few years at Wazzu 8-4/9-3) but sometimes shit like this has to go down to really make change happen.
Fulmer as interim AD is kinda eh and I am not sure that is who I would like rising to power in this new power vacuum/civil war
Either way they should probably take like a week off from this "search" and come back to it later with a lower of lower level names. Maybe that App State dude or something. Maybe get fucking crazy and hire some super successful FCS coach like that North Dakota St coach.

Reposting part of a post on ERA here, but -
He's a great fit for small markets like Lubbock and Pullman, but I don't expect he'll work out too well in a high pressure spot like Tennessee. The fanbase of a self-professed blueblood in the SEC isn't going to be so forgiving of him when he spends the week giving out wedding planning advice and the weekend losing to a rival 41-14.
Yeah but Wedding advice > champions of life and 41-14 is an improvement!
Also for those unaware Currie was assistant AD back in 2008 and basically lead the firing of Fulmer so this is basically payback.
Edit: And also this means the dream of the return of Lane is now dead as Lane was on the Majors side of the Fulmer vs Majors infighting :(
Edit 2: at least we are self aware of the complete dysfunction

I know as an alumnus I should probably be embarrassed by all this but it has provided me with hours of entertainment and I am throughly enjoying watching all of this unfold.
I don't get why Jimbo leaves for ATM.... Money that much better? Because by leaving now he basically undoes any goodwill or legacy at FSU

Eh, he'll always have that championship. But he certainly won't be held in the same regard as Bobby Bowden.
Money aside, A&M is not a better situation than Florida State. The optimistic view is that Saban will certainly retire sooner than Dabo, so maybe in 5 years, the landscape will be clearer.

Super happy for JT he's pretty much the reason we didn't run Wisconsin out of the building. Nice to have another B1G title though.
By domino Go To PostYears? They're never going to be back. Ever.Agreed.
i think Ohio State will get in but that Iowa loss is just inexcusably bad in comparison to losing on the road vs Auburn. i just cant see the committee leaving out a conference champion OSU.
