You do see that Parker gets tripped right? Harden brings his foot back and Parker's left leg catches it. I mean, he definitely embellishes the hands, but without seeing the reach in you can't tell if he was fouled. The fall though is a legitimate trip.
Guys pretending like Harden on the most analytically driven team in the league wouldn't do absolutely everything possible to get to the FT line over shooting a contested layup are kidding themselves. That means if he has to fall on every single possible brush of contact instead of trying to finish the play, he will.
Or do you actually believe Morey's going to say "Oh yea, this cheatcode totally works. But stop doing it Harden. It's not classy"

By RBKBy MorisJust cause other stars flop, it doesn't somehow excuse the extreme nature and quantity of Harden's flops.
Warriors lost in 7 games by 5 points without Bogut and Ezeli.
Who's excusing it? Harden is far from the only player who "sells contact". LeBron does, CP3 does, Kobe did, pretty sure Wade does as well.
Like I said, both first round knockouts. Houston lost in more dramatic fashion, series was a 7 game series without Lillard's shot. However you want to chop it up to support your argument is fine with me.
No one is saying Harden is the only dude who flops but his greatest hits list is crazy long and he's only 25 years old.
His catalog is gonna be ridiculous. He already has beauties like this and this

I would think an actual 1st round exit is more substantial than the hypothetical one you're talking about.

What? Harden played in every single one of those games, he sucked, but he was there.
Next thing you're gonna tell me is that he played in the 2012 Finals....

He was in the act of already flopping and then happens to trip on his foot. Parkers mind was made up to flop.

That's fine, I just find it a rather silly thing to debate about since it's doesn't take away from what makes a player/team great.

And let's clear something the fuck up: The only thing that separated Houston from a sweep was a shot by DLeaguer Troy Daniels.

It's not a debate really. I actually do think it detracts from his game, the same way my opinion of Chris Paul got progressively tainted by his continued floppery.

You think CP3 would get any flack if that roster he has in LA had any true postseason success? Let's be serious now.
On a different note, I'm more confident this season after looking at how bad on 9 man rotation was last postseason.
The thirst for Harden from non Rockets fans is real.
Y'all can't stop talking about him. Good or bad.
Y'all can't stop talking about him. Good or bad.
The NBA has instituted a new program in which it provides a day-after report on games in which it reviews the officiating in the final two minutes and overtime of games that are within a five-point margin during those points.
Last night, the Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers played such a game, and the NBA report reveals that Portland won despite four officiating mistakes going against them in overtime. The Clippers had one officiating mistake in OT that should have gone their way, the report concluded.

He could win a title and my opinion of him would still be affected by the dozens of times I saw him intentionally make a fool of himself on the court.
By reiloAnd let's clear something the fuck up: The only thing that separated Houston from a sweep was a shot by DLeaguer Troy Daniels.
Yea cause Harden doing nothing basically all series had no effect on the outcome of the series.
All the stars flop. Even Cousins flops now after all his talk about others flopping. If you want to get to higher levels of play, then you flop.
Which means the problem is with the officials and not the players. You can't fine players away from doing something that helps them win games.
Too many times officials blow whistles on plays they don't see and even cannot possibly see. They see the reaction/flop and assume the contact. It's a behavioral problem with the way the game is called. There's no reason not to improve on it with tech available other than the pride of the referees.
I'm not talking selling a charge here. That at least requires the offensive player to drive into the opponent. We're seeing flops on non-momentum plays.

Your opinion doesn't fall in general consensus.
I'm not even saying it's a give it'll happened, but his flopping will more than likely be overlooked.

You do know he's made the Finals right? Sure, if he plays well despite basically being ass for the last 3 consecutive series' and wins a couple chips, people won't care as much.
But James Harden gets hated on while Steph Curry is universally liked for reasons. Flopping is one of them.
Everyone outside of Durant had a bad Finals from what I remember. I'll give you the Portland series, but Houston had no shot to win against OKC to begin with.

6th man in his 3rd year, don't think everyone puts up numbers in their first Finals.
I just thought people like Curry's 3 point ability. Doesn't hurt the Warriors are a better team right now.
