I've actually gone from disliking Harden to actually loving him. Just have a lot of admiration for his body control and how he breaks people down. He embellishes shit yea, but a lot of the time the contact is legit.

Kanter at least tries, and his on-ball defense has been better than I expected.

His PnR defense is bad though.

In all seriousness, my issue isn't even that people don't like my team. It's that their hate makes them incapable of having a reasonable discussion.

Earlier in the season, I made a comment about how our bench looked better after the addition of Brewer. Neutral commentary teams say as much, and I come on here and it's just 'lolol, you've just played shit teams'. Missing three starters? Happens to everyone. Josh Smith stepping up without Dwight? Biggest dumbass in the league. Terrence Jones averaging 18 & 10? Rockets have no young talent. Prigioni showing signs of helping our playmaking? Morey only cares about 3-point shooters.

I hate the Mavs, but I can still see through my bias to get Brandy's point about Rondo helping their defense. I don't particularly like the Clips, but I still respect their record against the other playoff teams in the West. I lurk clutchfans, and they proclaim Houston favourites after getting Josh Smith. I come here, and it's like my team can't do anything right. I suppose interacting with Rockets fans here is the closest I'm going to get to a middle ground.

I like Dwight - or used to, but he's nowhere near the versatile or dynamic player that other top centers are. Hell, you could argue that THIS YEAR Bogut is more important to his team than Dwight is.

Both teams fared well without Howard or Bogut...neither team is a true contender without them.

Speaking of Billy King, Markel Brown is legit good and seems to have locked up the starting 2 guard position. Markel and Thad have given the team a completely different look.

Billy is great at finding steals in the draft, his record in that area is undeniable.

Give me another season or 2 to see how bad Howard's knee is, but as of now, I don't agree with placing anyone above him without including team success into the equation.

That Howard's had one really good season in the last 4? That as it stands today, there are plenty of centers who are better than him. That offensively, even at his peak, he was only DeAndre Jordan good. That defensively the team's been much much much better this year than last even without him for most of the season? That he's over rated and overhyped because of his name. And that his body is already breaking down.


This is the same thing with Morey. Morey in 7 years has only sheparded a team to the second round once. Despite the fact that he's had an owner that's asked him to put together a championship core, something that plenty of owners aren't interested in. He's also had an owner that's given the Max to a 6th man, another max to an injured center coming off back surgery, and been willing to take on tons of overpriced back loaded contracts because he implicitly trusts his GM.

I'm not out here saying that Jim Buss knows what he's doing or that Kobe's still Kobe or that Byron Scott is one of the best coaches in the league. Not everyone is as much of a homer as you would think.
