By Diprosalic Go To Post Spurs will lay down the pipe in the upcoming b2b against you.
Naysayers said we'd soon fall out of the top 4, and now we've taken a spot in the top 2. Keep up the negativity. Seems to be doing wonders.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Monroe is a C with no defense or motor and he's a PF with no jumpshot. He wouldn't be a great option in the Triangle at all unless the PF the Knicks get is an elite defender. Pau worked for the same reason Odom did and Kukoc did and Horace Grant did. They could shoot.
Rodman's the only exception, and he was the best defender/rebounder combo of his generation and as a plus he stayed in his lane on the offensive end.
If they get Love AND Monroe and somehow convince a frontline that's never played defense to play some defense, that could work. Offensively, the Triangle would run so damn beautifully.
Thunder are 3 games behind the Mavs with 8 to go.
We play them at home on Wednesday. If we win that one we have a legit chance to pass them.

I'll be rooting for you guys.
The only team I see Houston beating comfortably is OKC. And that's only because of their injuries. If Every team in the west was healthy, I wouldn't pick them over anyone.
If they play Dallas or SA in the first round, they're done. Their offense is too simplistic for Pop or Carlisle not to outcoach.
By rodeoclown Go To Post Nemanja Bjelica, future Timberwolves starting power forward and NBA MVP, was named the Euroleague player of the month. I hope you're all ready for our Serbian secret weapon for the games he'll play before he gets severely injured.
Ante Tomic got this a couple times and is first-team Euroleague and should be joining the Jazz next year.. and i'm not that hyped.

Thanks. And in case that's meant as a slight dig, be careful what you wish for :)

We have a chance against Houston even without KD.
We have no chance against the Dubs.

Double Westbrook all series and we win in 5.
Double Harden all series and they win in 5!

If Portland(or even OKC in 2013) couldn't beat us in 5, why the hell would a Westbrook only led team do the same?
We shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt in any playoff series given our recent history, but don't be silly.
By RBK Go To PostBy chance, you mean like 10% right?

I'd give us 30% because of HCA and injuries. This is also assuming Ibaka comes back and looks like himself.
Be wary of doubling Russ now that we have shooters and a great PnR big to play with him.
Rox scare me least of any playoff team outside of Dallas. It would be a track meet, but we could definitely win.

Just looking over Tomic's numbers, he seems like he should be pretty good. Rebounding and efficient scoring will definitely translate over to the NBA.

Games and Games started don't say 5 to me.
No smart team would double Harden at all unless he's torching you. Play him like Pop plays Lebron. Back way the hell off, and stay disciplined on his drives not to reach in. Both SA and DAL have great rim protectors that can slide over and block Harden's scoop shot/layups.
Let him shoot 3's. He starts making a few, make the adjustment. But considering how bad Harden has shot the 3 his last few series, sag off and let him get into his own head after 5 or 6 misses.

Supposedly he is really bad at defense. If he does come over it will be good, this guy has been like a myth for years now. He's like Sabonis for the Blazers on a much smaller level.

Good call, because he was actually even worse for the first 5 games:

It's nice to have confidence in your team, but "definitely win" isn't happening if both KD/Westbrook aren't on the court.

End result still lead to a 6 game series.
Failing to see your point.

Dude... I didn't say we'd "definitely win." I said we "could definitely win."
Those two things are very different.
By Vahagn Go To Post RBK. You're arguing that you're right because it took 6 games to beat you, and not 5. Do you not understand how silly you sound?
6 games isn't 5. Harden had a terrible series and it could have went to 7 if Lillard didn't make things happen.
By reilo Go To Post Man you were a lucky ass Troy Daniels three away from being swept, fucking lol.
True, but we will both be living on a life of hypotheticals.
The series just panned out how it did.
By Smokey Go To Post I think Rockets getting to the WCF would actually produce more salt in this thread than a Blazers/Rockets series tbh lol *how about 1st round first etc etc*
I just want to see a healthy Pat Beverly snap and take somebody to Suplex City, Bitch

Agreeing so hard right now.
Yes, RBK's #stansohard shit is hilarious AND Greg Monroe has never been good enough to make a team wonder how they should build around him.

No Beverley is a plus.
At the last time, every playoff team has had more success than Houston in last 5-6 years...still gotta prove it.
Stand by WCF prediction depending on our seeding.

By Colonel Nasty Go To Post Id kind of like to see Johnson start a few games. He can't be worse than Bev at shooting the three and running an offense but he's certainly an upgrade over Terry on D
Nick Johnson should've been playing months ago. And Canaan. Rockets acting like Beverly is some kind of huge loss kinda kills me... their coach has had better players stuck to the bench since the season started.
