Why can't the knicks get Towns and Monroe? 

Also Monroe is a 14 mil max. Potentially the knicks could have those 2 players as the future knicks frontcourt and still have about 14 mil still to spend.

That is true and hell I think Monroe as a player has suffered because all he's ever known is bad spacing in Detroit. Defensively though you can't just put Monroe at the 5 and expect your team to function well on defense. 

I think it comes down to if Towns has an actual reliable shot from the high post. Not that Towns should only go out to take that shot, but it would help clear the paint for Monroe at least a couple times a game. Then potentially the two bigs could work out a high/low post passing game like Gasol did with Bynum. 

Defensively it would function the same with Towns helping to hide Monroe defensive liabilities at the 5

Spurs are only 2.5 games behind the 3rd seed. They might get it too. They can go 7-2 in their final 9 games pretty easily. Up to Pop wether or not he'll rest his starters a ton in the final stretch but HCA is really important.

True. In the end I am no sure it matters this team is a disaster and in full on meltdown mode we will probably get be in 5 games against anyone other than Portland who still can't beat us even when we are trash.

By RBK Go To Post Just would like to say for how much hate they get around here, McHale/Morey have done a amazing job this season.  Improving the bench situation from the start of the year and being able to at least say we're the 2 seed for a day this late in the season is worth some praise.

Taking out the Southwest Division with all the injuries the Rockets have had would certainly be an achievement. On one hand, I'm still waiting on us to move past the first round, but on the other, I don't really have a lot of expectations considering the injuries to Dwight, Jones and now Motiejunas and Beverley. 

But anyways. BEST TEAM IN THE (SOUTH)WEST! WOOP WOOP.
