By Dark PhaZe Go To Post So James Harden MVP is official right.
Still having a hard time seeing the media picked Harden over their darling in Curry.
By reilo Go To Post Oh right because making a comment on the media's "darling" in comparison to your favorite player surely didn't show off your persecution complex.
Come on dude, you know exactly what he meant.
By psychintellect Go To Post I've been thinking, could Monroe put up DMC numbers if he was the first option on a team? I think he could dfinitely average 20/10. He's really skilled.
DMC numbers no
But I've been saying for a while that I would have maxed him 10 times out of 10 before paying Gortat. He's played out of position for years now.
By Sharp Go To PostCome on dude, you know exactly what he meant.
Yea, I do know what he meant. He meant that James Harden is somehow unfairly overlooked for the MVP race, which I think is so wholly wrong and off.

In the low block maybe. But DMC has a sweet mid range jumper which he utilizes all the time and he hits his FT's.
You'd have to be a shit team offensively to make Monroe your first option. He's not even first option on this Detroit team. That should say something.
I also don't like his motor. Many times that I've watched him this season, he's just walking up and down the court, he's not hustling for loose balls and his defense is a well known semi liability.
Utah fans.
What are your thoughts on Duke legend Quin Snyder? Besides that he looks like he's a serial killer?

Westbrook wants beat reporters to ask the tough questions when the team wins but softball during losses. He's such a maverick, like McCain.

It's hard to tell exactly, all of players have gotten better at passing and defense which is good. We shoot more threes now and foul less which is good. And Hayward, Favors, and Gobert have become stars which is really good. But it's hard to tell whether or not natural development would have led to the breakout of Hayward/Favors/Gobert (there's not really an alternate timeline we can go to there) and it's hard to compare strategy or analytical ability when you succeed Ty Corbin. Our offense isn't that creative at times, but we have two players who are NBA caliber at doing anything on offense other than offensive rebounding (Hayward and Favors) and we have zero point guards so it's hard to tell how creative the offense could be in general with this personnel. So... it's hard to judge coaches on a one-year sample size, but he seems above-average and possibly great.
In public, he seems way calmer than I expected after all the stories of him drinking and snorting coke off of hookers all night long in college.
I still can't believe that Wittman doesn't trust our players to switch on screens

14th for McHale is about where I would expect him to be, middle of the road coach.
By diehard Go To Post Synder is a better coach than McHale.
Has no track record.
By RBK Go To PostHas no track record.
McHale has one.
Scott Brooks has developed literally three MVP candidates.
Like, are X's and O's that big of a deal in comparison to that? Not saying he should be first but..
I know Brooks gets shit on a lot, but 20 seems far too low for him.
I'd probably have him around 11 or 12 on track record alone. 3 WCF and a Finals appearance, and his winning percentage is damn good as well.
But at the same time, who really gives a shit?

In all fairness, that would have probably still happen if Carlesimo was still coaching.

There's a reason PJ was fired breh.
He was playing KD at the 2. It's to KD's credit that he still averaged 20 PPG as a rookie.
Brooks is a good developmental coach. I don't think there's any doubt about that.
By RBK Go To PostCulture change? If I remember correctly, Durant/Carlesimo didn't get along all that well either.
PJ has a history of not getting along with star players.

Unsustainably hot from deep. His plus minus has gone from car crash to merely terrible, though. So, basically, yeah, he still sucks.
When was the last time an MVP came from a team not with a top 2 seed in their conference?
That's one thing against Harden right now. That could change. But then again, if the Warriors win 65+, when does that team not get the MVP?
I'm not arguing it's right. God knows players have been jobbed because of this criteria (though I think Curry has as much claim to MVP as Harden does, fwiw) but it's the way the media has set it up.

Rockets may very well have the 2nd seed before the season's end.
I'd pick Harden for MVP. I mean, I don't even think I had Houston making the playoffs and he's managed to keep his team in the upper echelon of the whole league, and doing it with his second best player being either Josh Smith, Ariza, Montiejunas or Brewer for the majority of the season.
Curry leading GSW to 65+ wins is amazing. I know how great he is and what he does is wizardry and I wouldn't offer too much resistance to him winning the award but at the same time, it's undeniable that he has a whole lot more help than Harden.
I just hope nobody decides not to vote for Harden because of the way he plays his game.

Let Curry win it, just going by the numbers there's a good chance Warriors don't make the Finals.

Uhh, the Warriors are overwhelming favorites to make the Finals right now just going by the numbers.
I side with Kobe and I've always sided with Kobe when he said ESPN are a bunch of idiots. As long as they keep having these rankings done by journalists and business school students, they're going to be idiotic.
there is literally not a single person at ESPN whose opinions or writings I've respected for years now.
Zach Lowe kinda, but even he says tons of stupid shit.
