Isaiah Thomas has a 33.8% assist percentage since getting traded to Boston, which puts him right next to Kyle Lowry.
And Lowry himself isn't a better playmaker than Rubio or Lawson.
I don't see the point you're trying to make.

You're saying he's only good at scoring, I'm saying he's not a bad facilitator. Lawson and Rubio are better facilitators, but Thomas makes up for it in scoring. We can split hairs as to whether he's better than Lawson or not, but he's certainly better than Deron, Reggie Jackson, Brandon Jennings, and these other fools above him.
By KumaJG Go To PostThat ESPN list is flawed. So many PGSs misplaced on the list and so are not even mention.
If we're looking at relevancy, then sure, Thomas is a top 15 PG.
This is why I think +/- is overrated as a stat. Rivers is 9/10 for 21 points with 3 assists, 2 steals, and no turnovers, yet he has a -3 on the +/- because he plays alongside Spencer Hawes.

That's why adjusted plus or minus exists.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostFuck off. The Bulls are fucking telekinetic or something.
It's all about match ups. Bulls pwn your team, Washington pwns the Bulls.
lmao kemba
wtf is boston doing? Udonis Haslem is playing center. We have more offensive rebounds in the quarter lmao

Yeah I just wish NBA.com would display that instead in their game tracker, but I suppose that might fluctuate too much and be a bit too much of an advanced stat. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Rivers is a good player, but I hate that people bash him unfairly at times.
The only good thing about tonight is that I don't have to watch this team play the Bulls again until next year and with a different roster.
By fertygo Go To Postgreat fucking game
Snell, Jimmy, and Mirotic all playing terrific
Every game against the Raptors your entire roster has the game of their lives. Like, the last 5 minutes was like somebody made a 2K team where everybody was prime Ray Allen.

Using that good old eye test
That what you call karma for making fun of my Celtics!

He's competent and you're acting like Avery Bradley gets significant chances to run the offense. I can't find the assist percentages myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron Brooks had a number that high during his MIP season and I wouldn't dare consider him a good playmaker.
There's no debating that Lawson is better. Deron is easily a better player when healthy, he's just hasn't lived up to his contract. Already said Jackson is a toss up and Jennings does everything better except score.

Always has, always will be. Most advanced stats are stupid.

Good ol' eye test will show you everything I stated about Thomas is true.
Like someone else said, Kings/Suns just don't give up on him if he's top 15 talent.

Well, its being frustrating for me too before that last 6 minute, everytime we get close you got some random and-1 and or vasquez hitting treys seemingly gonna being classic case wire-to-wire for you.
Suns were guard heavy and Kings are a shitty organization. Top 15 was a reach on my end. He definitely not far off though.
