Both ranked 3rd in defensive efficiency…both ranked 13th in offensive efficiency overall for the season.
Someone would have to correct me what are the stats post all-star break but we have the bigs to throw at Randolph/Gasol plus we have the best scorer in Harden out of all the players.
Houston in 6 over Memphis is very reasonable and as I said before: Dallas, Memphis, or Portland would be our best chances in a playoff win. Avoid OKC(at full strength) or the Clippers at all costs. Spurs and Golden State could go either way, and you can throw Portland in this group since they did beat us last go round.
No trolling whatsoever.
Probably have bigs to throw at Z-Bo because his game is basic. Gasol on the other hand is a bad match for the Rockets.
Rockets just terrible against skilled big men. Only favorable match up for the Rockets is Dallas.
But the Warriors are going to kill everyone in the playoffs other than maybe San Antonio and that's pretty much supported by stats as well (though the Clips' offense is otherworldly this year).
Spurs had a higher SRS in 2010 than both the Lakers and the Suns...Those same Suns that swept the Spurs. The Orlando Magic led the league in SRS. Those same Magic that lost in 5 in the Finals. Also, the Utah Jazz were 3rd. Third.
2011?
Dallas had a mediocre as all hell SRS and beat a bunch of teams above them. Patterns like this probably exist every year, I'm just too lazy to check.
The Difference between the Lakers SRS and the Suns SRS was .12. That's it. Right below each other with Lakers barely on top. As I said:
Find one stat that was consistent with a specific outcome - then pretend advanced stats were on point.

such bullshit nico not touching ball in those last two possesion, he just scored in iso just at possesion before that.
By diehardWait, so advanced stats can't tell you exactly who will win?
Fuck i need to rethink my life..
Lol, that's not what I argued.
I argued that jumping from stat to stat (to find one consistent with a certain argument) makes you disingenuous when arguing for objectivity. If instead of arguing Suns ORTG >> Lakers ORTG but Lakers won, what gives?
I had first argued Magic SRS >> Lakers SRS but Lakers won - what gives?
You and IWMTB would point to another stat, that was consistent with LA beating Orlando and go "see, advanced stats were right"
You would devalue SRS in the same way IWMTB devalued ORTG in my first argument and pick something different. Maybe SOS? Where the Magic were dead last. But it's the same never ending game.
There's a plethora of data, and as long as one piece of data could be cherry picked to be consistent with results - it proves the greatness of analytics.
Butler on pace to play 40 minutes in his first game back from injury.
Imagine if Thibs was OKC's coach, KD might be retired.

By psychintellectReally curious to see if Harden can be as effective in the playoffs or if he'll go melohe's consistently inconsistent in the playoffs
houston's formula of having everyone play off of harden all the time is just a recipe for disaster imo
By psychintellectReally curious to see if Harden can be as effective in the playoffs or if he'll go meloMelo took nugs to the WCF in 09.
Knicks running the Triple Post Offense with no post threats.
As soon as the team has a few post threats the offense will be so much crisper. Huge difference when Melo was playing offensively.

Now I know you done lost your mind. Also, I know that ORTG and DRTG is everyone's wet dream. But, it's lulz worthy. I remember having debates with Suns fans in 2010 right before the CF and them telling me that Phx had the best ORTG and Lakers were like 13th. LA would have nightmares trying to stop that team. There's no objective data that suggests LAL could beat Phx. Dumb shit like that. Any basketball fan that thought Phx had more than a 30% chance of winning that series before it began had lost their damn minds.
Deep blue where are you getting your percentages from? lol

Compassion towards Phx fans.
My computations tell me it was closer to 3.14%.

We are getting more room in that 3rd playoff spot. Need to win a couple of the games on the road and my Rockets can lock down the 3rd spot.
IWMTB im gonna assume us not giving the ball to Favors every possession is some sort of late-stealth tank move.
Rodney Hood has finally vomited in-game in a Jazz uniform.
Trey Burke might be on that "I'm good at basketball" shit instead.
From DY's posting, I expected Vonleh to have like 8/8 in 15 minutes today.
He had 2/2 in 1 minute. Come on, man.
