Gondo acting like this is the first time someone's been rushed back from an injury too soon where the doctors Ok'd it.
I'm sorry, I had no idea, literally every other time this happened, the GM was defiantly telling the Doctors to fuck off.
Oh wait, that's never what happens.
There's a reason I said
Emphasis in conservative. Rushing him back the minute the Doctor's say "Yea, I guess it's ok" isn't conservative. All the experience we had said this process takes months longer to fully heal than Durant took and that this particular injury has derailed careers before. That's the not the kind of shit you have Durant out there playing with the minute the Doctors say "it's ok"
Say what you will about Rose, but they gave him more than the allotted time to come back from injuries. Presti rushed him back.

How do you NOT play this thing conservatively?

By reiloHe is an old Karl guy so not really shocked about that...By VahagnI'm impressed at the multiple down screens before the flare screen, as well as that last sequence, which is a seemless counter option if Matthews is denied the initial catch, they go into a reverse flare screen with the opposite big going to the opposite side and the pass is made from the pinch post instead of the top.
That's a Pop kind of sophistication.
Yea, Stotts has offensive genius capabilities. His out-of-timeout plays are astounding. It's not all that surprising considering Stotts was responsible for the offense during the Mavs' 2011 run. What is surprising is that he's turned this team into a Top-5 defensive team.

He came back in SIX WEEKS
Which is even worse, because when he first had the procedure, he said.
Patients can expect to return to full activity three to four months after a typical fracture. This includes returning to sports.

"I'm not going to rush it all. That's the one thing I don't want to do," he said. "I'm sure I'll feel better in two or three weeks, but definitely don't want to rush it and wind up hurting it even more.
There's nothing worse than reading realgm boards and seeing people say that Cho needs to get fired BEFORE Steve Clifford
By giririsssDo people actually think trading Kevin Durant is a smart idea for OKC.There was a poll about this on ESPN recently and like 60% people were in favor of the idea.
Anyone?
People are stupid.

Maybe for LBJ...
Other than that no.
I think firing Brooks would be a great idea for OKC tho
By DY_nastyThere's nothing worse than reading realgm boards and seeing people say that Cho needs to get fired BEFORE Steve CliffordI'm still out on Cho.
He's not really had much to work with in CHA, sure they could have drafted better etc.
They got Lance. Everyone wanted lance, but didn't want to pay Lance. They got Lance on a really good price given his "credentialed potential" Turns out, he's an absolute head case and not worth it.
They got Al and he went on a good run, but the next lot of injuries did him. He's dead.
There's at least a foundation to work with now. Somewhere to go. They're not tied down with horrible contracts long term and at every position.
Yeah, he's not been great, but he's not been a hinderance either.

That is where I saw it, it's now down to only 40% in favour. But that's still ludicrous.

Since 1982 Riley's either coached or been the GM for 7 chips. Phil has 11. Pop has 5. That's 23 of 33 chips.
Even crazier. Riley's coached 9 Finals. Phil's coached 13 Finals. Pop's coached 6 Finals.
Spo - Riley's guy - has coached 4 Finals. SVG - Riley's guy has coached 1 finals. Rivers - Pop's guy has coached 2 finals.
Am I missing anyone?
Just looking since 2006.
Riley vs. Avery
Brown vs. Pop
Doc vs. Phil
SVG vs. Phil
Doc vs. Phil
Spo vs. Carlisle
Spo vs. Brooks
Spo vs. Pop
Spo vs. Pop.
That's basically the entirety in the last 8 years coming from 3 groups.
It's not a conspiracy. It's more the concept of - these 3 guys have been dominating the league for decades. And regardless of the shifts, they've still dominated. Says something about them truly being atop everyone else for the last 3 decades.

By giririsssDo people actually think trading Kevin Durant is a smart idea for OKC.Trading Westbrook would be much more feasible. Nobody's going to want Durant right now on a contract year with the fear that he's going to just sign with Washington afterward. Realistically, I could only see him signing with Washington or OKC next year. Washington is in the middle of a playoff run and would likely try to get him as a free agent or in a sign-and-trade next year rather than empty their team of assets to get an injured Durant who may not fully recover from this injury anyway. I think OKC stays put, bets the farm on him coming back fully healthy, and offers him a max.
Anyone?
Edit: And yeah, it's been well established that the NBA, more than any other major American sports organization, is dominated by a few groups. It's actually become somewhat of a disappointment if a stacked team doesn't repeat as champions. That might change now with there being less appeal to being in the biggest markets these days with the Internet making the world smaller, but it's still going to be a lot harder for teams in colder climates to win championships.
Hey Knicks players. When you run the corner PnR off the Triangle, you can't take one dribble and stop. Drive to the damn basket.
By ratcliffjaFrom OKC's POV though, there's no real upside to trading KD. An actual, proven, MVP. wow
dude's gonna have bargnani looking like a problem for years to come
Knicks doing the right thing. Look at how they were running the Triangle the last 2 weeks and look at how they botching it now. Intentionally stopping their dribbles after a pick, repeatedly driving at the only shotblocker Minny has... I saw Shved wink at Fish after that TO he had, BEAUTIFUL. The team is on the same page!
I really do hope that Kemba throws Cliff under the bus after the last game... being on the bench down the stretch was just inexcusable
By RBKBy matrixHope Tjones is okay. How bad was it?
Ribs, left the game and will not return. Left the Arena in a stretcher
@clutchfans
"According to a source, Terrence Jones was wheeled out of the Toyota Center on a stretcher. He was sitting up with a towel over his head."
Fuck. If it's broken ribs... his season is over. Takes 1-2 months to heal on their own. Huge blow, hoping for the best. The knee shot he took to his side looked so painful.
Please just be bruised.

I got happy tears in my eyes watching this 20th anniversary championship celebration. Feels like it was yesterday. I also feel fucking old.
Thank you Knicks and Orlando :)

By BranduilI sure seem to remember a lot of people saying that there was something worrying about the way OKC was rushing Durant back. Let's please stop this revisionist history as though nobody could have foreseen these consequences.I know that a bunch of us in here said it and we're all dumber than most GMs/doctors/coaches. Not all that surprising given the circumstances but it's still pretty disappointing. Really wanted to see ynb/durant win one before they're broken up.
What the fuckitty fuck is going on?
Minny tank is ridiculous, what is Fisher doing? GIVE THE BALL TO ACY AND AMUNDSON!

Ok I think this is where you fake out the Timberwolves and call for a Quincy Acy 3.
