By Oddinho Go To PostWhen you sit back and take stock of it I'd say Arsenal completed their main objectives more successfully than Chelsea did. Could average them both out to a C+ if you want, it's just my H O T T A K E you're free to add your own.I know, I'm just giving you my opinion on your hot take lol. Thought Chelsea's was okay all things considered and we did bring in 6 new players, 7 if you include Christensen coming back from his two year loan.
By Meier Go To PostCan I please see a goal tonight? 🤔Got one thing I asked for today.
Neymar has been very poor in the final third.
And as I say that he almost scored a beauty. But he's been amazing in the open field and has had some great runs but no final product tonight.

Coutinho is a wonderful player
Cunt.
Wonder how much this window will have an impact on players signing long contracts. VVD and Coutinho doing it has turned out to be really stupid, since both are obviously unwilling to even come close to honouring them. Lack of release clauses multiply the idiocy, obviously.

It won't change a thing. Players have signed themselves into long contracts they later want to get out of since forever ago. These are 24 year old kids we're talking about.
He was settled and as happy as anyone is until they're told the grass is so much greener over here. If you can't be convinced by Barcelona at 24 years old that you're their next midfield legend, check that your heart isn't black and crusted over.

5 years isn't a long contract. Nearly every player stays for at least 2. The third year is a buffer where you decide their future. If they're not signing a new contract by then you sell them before it gets too late.
By Oddinho Go To PostOdd's window ratings (going until I get bored, not doing 20 teams):Gonna do a Bundesliga one.
Overall it was a rather quiet window with the exception of Dembele, Rodriguez and a few minor things like Schalke getting rid of their captain and a life long Schalke player that still played well.
Bayern: B+
+ Süle and Rudy look like decent additions, which wasn't what alot of people expected (they still need to show their class in the CL).
+ Tolisso seems to be a good addition.
+Got rid of Douglas Costa who played like shit and started to act like a bitch.
-+ James Rodriguez is a big name and they got him rather cheap, but I still wonder how he'll fit into the system.Could be negative if he doesn't find his place and Ancelotti still let's him play instead of Müller.
-Lost two of their biggest players both with their personality and quality with Lahm/Alonso and hardly replaced them.
-Still no decent replacement for the LB/RB position, Rafinha is shit.
-Constant rumblings about Ancelottis decisions, lately from Neuer but mainly from Müller
-No Lewandowski replacement
-I don't rate Coman as decent alternative for the wings.
Leipzig: B+
+Stayed strong during the whole shenanigans from Forsberg and Keita
+Augustin,Kampl and Bruma are good additions
+Got rid of the rather expensive Burke and a medicore player with Selke.
-With the Keita deal for next year, Forsberg already started talking about a transfer for him. Could be poison for the next year.
-Alot of players played far above their level, and they haven't invested in alot of depth for the CL.
Dortmund: A
+Got exactly what they asked for moneywise with Dembele and set an example.
+Players who didn't play a role were let go (Ginter,Mor,Merino) , and those who are not ready are loaned out (Passlack,Burnic).
+Good additions with Yarmolenko,Philipp,Dahoud,Toprak,Sancho,Toljan and amazing squad depth with a nice mixture of experienced players and prospects.
+Bosz seems to be a good coach, who is calm and exactly what we need after the whole Tuchel saga.
+We kept our head of scouting after Bayern tried to snatch him.
+- Auba was kept, but I'm pretty sure those Chinese clubs will come knocking during the winter.
-Lost one of the most important player with Dembele, and a club legend with Bender.
-Alot of potential conflicts due the amount of great players on the same position (5 CBs, 6 wingers for two positions, 7 players for 3 central positions)
-Schürrle who is still our most expensive signing still doesn't look like he will play any major role.
-No loan option for Alexander Isak, who needs match practice pretty badly. No new club for Subotic ;_;
Hoffenheim: C
+Gnabry loan will help them.
+ A few good prospects for rather cheap money (Hoogma,Grillitsch).
-Barely any depth for EL.
-Lost two of their most important players with Süle/Rudy and didn't replace them.
Cologne: B-
+Kept their squad together.
+A few young additions who still need to show their class though.
-Cordoba is hardly a replacement for Modeste who left them for China.
-Could have problems with the EL along the normal league games.
Hertha Berlin: C
+Got rid of alot of dead weight
+Their academy players getting into the first team
-Losing Brooks is a major problem.
-I don't rate Selke, think it's a waste of money.
Freiburg: No idea..
Seriously, Freiburg got this problem each year. They develop alot of great players and quite a few of them leave. This year it was Philipp,Grifo who basically were their goal machines.
They had problems by getting new players and it's just hard to judge them yet. They usually take a bit more time.
Bremen: C+
They signed Ludwig Augustinsson from Kopenhagen, the rest is just rather uninspiring and they're gonna hold their status quo by not being relegation material, but not reaching the EL spots.
Gladbach: C+
While they lost two important players with Dahoud and Christensen. They spent alot of money and it's questionable if every signing will lead to something.
Ginter was pretty expensive, Zakaria seems to be a good player, Bobadilla is past the point of helping them.
I think it could go both ways for Gladbach, either they attack the EL spots or they stay in the middle of the league.
Schalke: C+
+Good additions with Harit, and some really good prospects.
+Konoplyanka seems to be working out under the new coach.
+Got rid of alot players who ate alot of wages and offered hardly anything (Choupo-Moting,Aogo,Sam,Uchida,Huntelaar,Giefer)
+-Kept Goretzka/Meyer who will be valuable, but they could have also used the cash and they will leave for free next summer.
+-The new coach is a big question mark, especially after he killed a club legend with Höwedes.
-Overspent despite not even playing internationally and they're not exactly in a position to.
-A young coach who axed the capitain and a club legend with Höwedes, who always played good and stood up when the club went to shit.
-Still alot of players who got incredible high wages without playing a role.
I think they might have a shot at the EL spots, but could also stay within the middle of the table.
Frankfurt:
They brought in alot of players, but I barely know any of them. So I'll keep my judgement for now.
Think they're avoiding relegation for the time being.
Neverkusen: D
+They got a leader and the Bender twins united now.
+Still got alot of good prospects they can use.
-+ A promising coach that got zero experience in the first league though.
-Lost ALOT of quality with Calhanoglu, Kampl, Chicha,Toprak and got nearly zero replacements in (Retsos and Alario still need to show their quality).
-Alario deal still up in the air, which means they got a striker with Volland who isn't a real striker.
I get that they need to thin out their squad without playing internationally. However, they lost so much quality without replacing it. I think they might pull a Wolfsburg.
Augsburg: relegation tier
Hamburg: C+
They might escape relegation battle early on.
Mainz: relegation tier
Wolfsburg: C-
+Origi could work well for them, Brooks is a really good transfer.
-Still a shit coach
-A team softer than Arsenal
Think they're gonna be in no man's land, but doing well enough not to participate in the relegation battle.
Stuttgart : D+
+Some good prospects and an experienced player with Badstuber.
-Let go of their manager who did a really great job.
-No structure or idea behind some signings.
Hannover: No idea, haven't really watched them enough in the second league to judge their current transfers.
No one seems to know whether or not Barkley had a medical; failed a medical; or when exactly things broke down.
Regardless, at some point the decision was made (by whom is still up for speculation) that he was going to have to wait until January to sort out his future.
I think he wants Spurs to have a say in the matter. So when a fee was agreed between Everton and Chelsea (£35m including incentives), he either got cold feet or failed the medical. If or when that happened no one has confirmed. But it happened somewhere in London.
Everton's owner claims he had a medical and Barkley's people are saying one never took place.
Why there's so much confusion is not even worth discussing, because the player quite frankly isn't worth discussing.
The only thing that is certain at this point is that Ross Barkley's playing career at Everton is over. He'll never kick another ball in that shirt again. That much I'm willing to bet on.
We'll see what happens, who's interested and how his hammie heals in January I guess. This definitely didn't help is value I don't think.

By Oddinho Go To PostOh Penny I forgot about Sancho. That's a big loss for City IMO, he's supposed to be extremely good.Without experience in the first team though, but he'll get some time on the pitch with Schürrle/Reus injured and only Yarmolenko,Pulisic and Philipp as starters currently.

There are so many similarities between van dijk and Coutinho, with the former being praised for taking the initiative and the latter being destroyed
They're both cunts

an 80m asset will walk for free, while any reinforcements will still cost money. Should've just ripped the bandage off
arsenal have enough money. doubt they care that much.
what matters more is qualifying for the cl.
Russ done Chelsea nicely
I don't know if Everton will be happy to sell to us for less in January, I guess it depends what they think our involvement was in all this

I see Markovic didn't end up going anywhere for Liverpool. Wonder if he'll end up getting any appearances until January
Think Chelsea's first team and bench looks strong now tbf. Christiansen and Rudiger added at the back, Zappacosta, Fabregas and Drinkwater for depth in the middle.
In terms of numbers they're similar to last year so have to hope their luck with injuries holds out, but in terms of quality they've improved depth everywhere (except striker, but Morata/Costa is a good like for like swap).

By Officer_lool Go To PostMbappe cant get past Timmy Mensah. He's a destroyer in the middle of the park. Let him destroy next season Mouyes! He'll get exposed as a RB.
Go on boy!
Somebody did our squad as it looks now.
Remy and Costa are missing because they are likely to leave today.
Kenedy, Musonda and Batshuayi are the weak spots imo but we have some players who can play different positions if needed IE Fabregas at AM, Azpi at WB. We were lucky with injuries last season, just got to pray that luck continues and that the new guys settle in well.

Turned down a loan move to try and make moves into the first team. Great attitude. Hope he can provide that direct threat we're missing.
