Liverpool with Lemar and VVD would be scary.
They can challenge for the title without a doubt with these two.

Who is signing Mahrez?!
The Algerian Federation has confirmed he was allowed to leave Algiers yesterday: "to formalize on Thursday his transfer to his new club."
The national side travel to Lusaka today for their qualifier Saturday against Zambia.
I'll shit on random Switches everywhere if Woodward and Mourinho have pulled this one off.
It's probably Barca because they're just that stupid right now.

By Wengward Go To PostHow is he a hack and how has he been exposed? He communicated what the club told him. He isn't an investigative journalist lol.He did say that it was on the arseblog podcast.
I don't remember him saying we have 150m to spend. Just scrolled through his tweets and don't see any mention of our budget. Maybe you are confusing him with someone else.

Tell you what, Conte might literally explode.
If we pinch Llorente and Barkley...
Mahrez? It'd take him two seasons of learning to be a solid defender. He's really not interested in doing anything but attacking.
Isn't Mahrez most likely to be going to Roma? They are the only club that put any money on the table before.
By Ushojax Go To PostIsn't Mahrez most likely to be going to Roma? They are the only club that put any money on the table before.Nah, they got Schick instead.
Not worried about anyone but Drinkwater. That's the signing that has to happen and probably will for £40m with incentives and shit.

The Ox thing makes no sense to me. Like, I understand if he wanted to fuck Arsene or even the club over by being coy over contract talks this whole time while negotiations were ongoing with LFC/CFC--obviously a cunt move but I'm sure he has his reasons.
What I don't understand is why he would think Conte would play him anywhere else but in a wide position, either upfront, or at wingback. That makes no sense.
The formation that just won the league is two defensive minded mids, with three CBs and two WBs. Defend, defend, defend - get the fucking ball moving forward in a hurry to one of the forward three to link up and attack. That's the system. That's the system that Cesc Fabregas largely watched from the bench win the league last season. That's the system Ox played against at Stamford Bridge for 90 minutes that Arsenal couldn't figure out.
There's is no traditional #10. No #8. No real centralized midfielder that's expected to jumpstart or dictate forward play (Kante seems to be doing this anyway, but that's besides the point). It's all staying tight together locking down any passing lanes and then width at pace when on the ball.
If I had to describe Chamberlain's game it would be his ability to stretch a defense with his pace on the ball. His end product is all over the place, but he can get into that final third in a hurry.
I don't know, it's a signing that on paper made sense at the time, but if he's really not interested in that type of role then it's best that he didn't join because there's obviously no place for him here. And I don't know if there's a place for him at LFC if Can and Wijnaldum keep up their current form. Something else to watch I suppose.

Goal (who we all know are notoriously garbage) are saying Kenedy's loan to Newcastle is off and he's now the Chamberlain signing. But who the hell knows...
-------
I thought Mustafi was pushing for a move because he wasn't getting on with anyone in the dressing room? Tough ask to hold him if he's miserable.

Evans is a really good CB and would massively improve both Arsenal and City. I hope that one doesn't happen.
The end of this window has been embarrassing for us, from Conte saying he wants three more signings to us maybe ending up with zero. I hope we at least get Drinkwater in before the deadline.
Ornstein is enjoying this, you can sense it.
Oxlade - it sounds like his agents have done a great job of playing Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool off one another to get exactly what he wants.

With all the excitement of the market in the last few days, I did not notice the signs that Lazio is Jorge Mendes newest bitch club for him to use and abuse at his will and leave it on a ditch after a few seasons.
Lazio bought 2 young Portuguese players from Braga, both without any first division experience, for a rumoured total of 26M€.
Mendes also had a hand on the Keita deal and was instrumental in getting Nani to Lazio.
I really wish Lazio gets royally fucked by all their dealings with Mendes and end up on a shitty position.
Mendes is a criminal that keeps getting away with shady business because he has a lot of influence in high places.
Authorities in Spain and Portugal are closing in on him, there was a leaked report that said that authorities in Portugal are investigating every deal Mendes made here in the last 5 years as they are all considered suspect transactions.
I hope this is the end of him but I really doubt it.
There's an Italian reporter named Pippo Russo that has been investigating Mendes for years. He wrote a book named Orgy Of Power about his investigation, I need to see if I manage to grab a copy.
Oh, and happy birthday, FF!

Mahrez and his agent checked into a London hotel last night according to Top Sky Sources.
We know Arsenal are out. Pele confirmed that.
If true, and he's in the capital, it would be a pretty good signing for Spurs if I'm honest.
Perhaps they dump Sissoko on Leicester, paving the way for Drinkwater to Chelsea. See what I did there? 🤔

Seems a bit mad that Palace are willing to risk £23m on Mangala who has been a great big massive flop, a proven waste of money, space and skin, who is probably on some obscene Man City wages rather than spend an extra £7m on Sakho - A player who completely turned their fortunes around last season.

By Diego! Go To PostProbably because they know Liverpool aren't going to hold firm to that that and give ~£25m up for a player who has no future at the club.
