By FlutterPuffs Go To PostIt's so weird that after all that talk about spending 150 million in the summer, in comes news that Arsenal does not have the money to spend, from the club's mouthpiece.
Thank god for Woodward and his cup noodles sponsorship.
Ornstein is not the club's mouthpiece.
He is about as reliable as John Cross because they both are privy to the same briefings. Arsenal never indicidually brief journalists, but because Ornstein has the BBC tag everyone goes wild for what he says.

I watched the full video expecting there'd be more verses. I was sadly mistaken. It turns out it's a self-proclaimed parody video with only 5k views. Most people just think this fella is a knob.
I'm not going to watch the extra minute.
Happy birthday, FF!

By Lunatic Go To PostI remember shanks was upset with him because he showed emotion on the field.
By Wengward Go To PostShanks is a child.
Showing emotion is great. I live passion.
However, you don't do it in a way that makes tour employers and coworkers look like fools.
Sanchez has always been a player that has played for himself.
It is a joke he gets frustrated with other players when he is a ball hog himself.
I understand a lot of the rest of the squad are not on his level, but you don't show the club up.

transfer deadline day should be entertaining
I hope you all have a nice day except the madrid fans
Happy birthday.
Hope you enjoy a nice game of golf followed by a nice lunch of Pizza and Sanpellegrino. Then end the day with a watch of DBZA.

Save it. Already acknowledged it is Wenger's failt.

No. You are wrong.
How do you know Arsenal don't brief individual journalists?
By Wengward Go To PostNo. You are wrong.

The difference is that John Cross prints every bit of news he is briefed on. Ornstein isn't in the tabloid news business, so doesn't run with everything he is told.
People think Ornstein is privy to additional information, but he isn't.
What happened to the Celtic version of Dembele? He seemed like he was going to get a transfer this season.

He almost always has details before any other journalist. He is usually first as well.
People trust him because he is reliable and only comments on fact.
I don't know who, or what Ornstein is, or is not privy to, but he doesn't chat bullshit. He's one of the few that doesn't seem to do this for the clicks. The public funding advantage perhaps.
By Mushroom Go To PostWhat happened to the Celtic version of Dembele? He seemed like he was going to get a transfer this season.Didn't cunt it up enough or make a fuss. He's still young. He'll learn.
People like Ornstein, Melissa Reddy, Simon Stone and Matt Law are what they are. Journalists that are granted controlled leaks provided that they also push whatever PR bullshit the clubs want them to.
So for me, they are the mouthpieces.

Portuguese transfer rumours for the final day :
William could still leave for Monaco if Fabinho is sold, Leicester apparently keen to bid 25M€ for Adrien if Drinkwater leaves (it will most likely be denied as it is too late to go after a replacement), Schellotto apparently going to Brighton and Zeegellar to Watford.
Barcelona's Douglas is going on loan to Benfica, Gabigol still on hold as Benfica want 25M€ for Mitroglou and Marseille won't go above 20M€, it's reported that Benfica also rejected a 25M€ offer for 50% of Jimenez's rights.
Porto still trying to hold on to Danilo and Aboubakar, Marseille are very interested on the striker.
They are also apparently trying to steal Gabigol away from Benfica.

Ornstein is a hack like the other journo's he just doesn't work for a tabloid that depends on ad revenue so he can tweet less since BBC doesn't depend on clicks. He's been exposed this summer. You just can't go from 150m to spend this summer to no money.

When I slagged off Ozil a few years ago for being a lazy cunt, I got so much shit from most Arsenal fans here.
"If his name was Totti he would be the best player in the world"
Now everyone says it and you laugh at more for something else. Then in a few months you be acting like be saying the same as me and acting like you knew from Day 1.

In all fairness his form dropped off even more. Before you could accuse him of being not productive enough, now he doesnt even play basic passes well or flicks or set people up or any of that. He is well and truly washed and Iwobi would probably do a better job in the hole than he does.

I'm currently playing Mario + Rabbids. It's amazing. Think the XCOM gameplay mechanics but where the battles are more akin to puzzle games, than straight out survival.

By Barzul Go To PostHe's had a full preseason as well. No excuse for him.Yeah. I defended him when there wasn't any midfielders competent enough to feed him the ball so he can do his thing, but considering Arsenal had 77% possession against Stoke but he STILL can't do shit, well, you just have to accept that he's in an extremely bad form at the moment.
I'd say the worst is Ramsey though. The fact that he often leaves Xhaka or the RB stranded so he can go forward is bullshit.
Ramsey is like a FIFA player that is forced to play the midfield role because the striker and wide player spots are taken.

How is he a hack and how has he been exposed? He communicated what the club told him. He isn't an investigative journalist lol.
I don't remember him saying we have 150m to spend. Just scrolled through his tweets and don't see any mention of our budget. Maybe you are confusing him with someone else.
This is looking accurate however.

I really don't care that he is lazy. That has never been my problem with him.
Now he is lazy and not producing at all. That is a problem.
I have no clue what you are trying to say in your last paragraph.
Ramsey's worldbeating season went straight to his head and completely messed with his style of play; he was convinced that every time he touched the ball, he would score a goal. What made him so effective that season was his work ethic and runs - led the league in tackles and distance ran before he got hurt iirc
While he was a really good goalscorer that season, some of his longer range shots were pretty fluky and the rest were just a product of intelligent runs into the box. but that's only half his game. Maybe he's getting the wrong instructions from the manager, who knows.

also Xhaka is a horrible defensive mid-type considering he can't tackle so I don't know why he's been given the responsibility of covering for literally every other player on the pitch. or maybe he still has some residual discipline from his days before playing under Wenger

Also as much as I think Ramsey is shit he would probably play better than Ozil provided Wenger goes 4-3-3, or a 3-5-2 with Elneny/Coq as the defensive midfielder.
Its strange when a professional comedian is the least funny person on a podcast. Jim on the Ramble, Pat Baer on the bestcast last week

Don't ever disrespect the Ornacle like this again.
That's a rather nice sum of cash you just got there Liverpool.
Jesus, even West Brom have been more active with incoming transfers than Arsenal.
Christ, we had this at the start of July
'not for sale unless you offer enough money for us to sell him'
He's for sale then. Would be disappointed if we don't get him, but I won't complain if we keep Coutinho. Question then becomes, would we have signed Lemar if we hadn't just blown £40m on Oxlade Chamberlain
We've presumably got some kind of encouragement to send our medical team out there, could easily still be a hefty gap between what we're willing to pay and what they're willing to sell him for though. And time is obviously of the essence, so they could just be there on the off-chance that we push it through, rather than actually expecing it.

Liverpool should take the ridiculous money Barcelona are offering for Coutinho and sign him and Van Dijk.
By Marston Go To PostLiverpool should take the ridiculous money Barcelona are offering for Coutinho and sign him and Van Dijk.Problem is it won't happen that way
The moment Coutinho goes, the price for VVD goes to £90m+, if they're willing to sell to us at all. Don't think VVD is happening, this summer anyway.
