By Meus Renaissance Go To PostI can't understand why Ox wasn't giving a run of games in the middle ahead of Ozil. He was bought as a CAM, but was played out of position for 5 years. Why not give him the opportunity when Mesut can't be bothered? The hardest thing to accept when it comes to Arsenal Football Club is the baffling decisions made on the pitch. Bellerin at LWB; Kolasinic and Lacazette on the bench are only this season's story.
Remember Arshavin? A No.10, forced to play out wide, and then constantly ridiculed in the press and by fans because he wasn't any good at tracking back to defend.
Ramsey is a No.10, but he is constantly played out of position, as well. What must he be thinking?
Ramsey isn't a 10. Ox isn't a 10.
Ozil apparently can't be bothered and gets ridiculed for it, but Arshavin was unfairly ridiculed for doing the same thing?
No idea how we're going to line up in midfield if we get Lemar and Couts stays. Couts/Lallana/Lemar for attacking mids, Gini/Can/Ox? for box to box, and Hendo/Can for defensive mids. Got Grujic and Woodburn who could play there as well.
I completely forgot JM7 is a midfielder as well.

hahaha I was literally just thinking of you mate, wondering " I wonder Meus is taking all of this" swear.
You did not dissappoint, Meus you cant understand why Ox wasnt given a run of games in the number 10 position?
The position that requires you to see a bigger picture and close control and all the other qualities Ox just does not have.

Not his fault he couldn't do it at Arsenal when Wenger plays a different system. Also Ox was bought as a LW/RW I believe.

Ramsey is at his best when running from deep.
By Wengward Go To PostOx can't play a good final ball.If Klopp has any sense (and he does) Ox will never start a game at CM or CAM
I wonder why he wasn't given a shot at the 10.

Liverpool will be ok in the league as no-one can defend for shit really. It's all about how many you can score. SAF knew the PL inside out and came to that conclusion in his final seasons at United. Just get all your best attackers on the ball and let the good times roll. Ok so that's over simplifying things and obv there'll be games when you can't score for and you'll lose. coz you're defence is shit. But as a general principle, the PL is a league where good defending is a rarity and you'll get by If you can score enough.
It's going to be in Europe where Liverpool will be really challenged. Against the top sides they'll be in trouble, but so will every other English team. Still a few levels off the best unfortunately.

Nah, Ox and Wenger both said they saw his future at CM.
Then we saw him play there.
Ramsey was the best CM in the world for a good half season there. Shame. Never quite figured out if that was just a fluke or if the injury really took it's toll.
By Hitch Go To Postbased on what we saw on Sunday, do we really need a goalkeeper in the team?Looked like Karius thought the same thing.
By Meus Renaissance Go To PostPretty sure Ox was a central midfielder at Southampton.
Sure, when he was 16. Gareth Bale was a fullback when he was 16.
We have played Ox in the midfield and it was a disaster. He can't pass.

Arteta/Ramsey was a good midfield pairing when healthy. Arteta freed up Ramsey.
If just a couple of weeks ago someone told me that Oxlade-Chamberlain changing clubs would spur such vigorious debate, I would've called them crazy. And yet, here we are. I know it's a straw that broke the camel's back type of situation, but still. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Ox. Incredible. /FF
By Hitch Go To Postbased on what we saw on Sunday, do we really need a goalkeeper in the team? You're not playing Arsenal every week.

By Wengward Go To PostNah, Ox and Wenger both said they saw his future at CM.

He was excellent during his debut season for us. Since then, limited opportunities has meant that he has been used as a late-sub, and when he's not made an impact, or fluffed a cross, fans have got on his back and start dishing out stats like, "he's not scored in months" when he's not played a full match.
Nevermind starting matches, he's barely been given a run of consecutive appearances. On the other hand, Wenger has given ample time for the likes of Ramsey and Wilshere to develop by starting them and refusing to replace them with new signings. He's even given Walcott more time out wide, amazingly. Theo Walcott of all people. The only thing stranger than that is how Arsenal fans seem to have more time for Theo's rubbish passing and dribbling than Ox.

I don't remember him playing in the centre. How many games did he get? Was he a sub?
By Fergie Go To PostThere's only one winner in relation to Arsenal.I feel like if we keep this disgrace performances week in week out people might get fed up and aftv views could suffer. I think the main thing about Arsenal is the hope the fans have always end in massive disappointment and the other fans love it.
We have absolute no hope of something good going towards these 2 seasons at least. This can be bad to Robbie.

Probably because Theo scores goals
Get out while you can Joel. Can't believe we extended his contract when we did. This club makes such short sighted decision. Extending Jenkinson's contract two summers ago as well, such a daft move....everyone could see he was shit. Little wonder our wage bill is so high.
I'm so sick of this Theo blasphemy. He was our second best player for like a decade. He was never the problem.
Ox is shit. Always been shit. Always will be.
Gervinho deserved more of a second chance than Ox ever did

It's so great to have competent persons dealing with our transfer buisness.

He barely featured and when he did it was on the wing.
The biggest reason for Ox not playing consistently is injuries.

I vastly prefer our manager Zorc and the whole scouting section of our club :P
But you were done pretty early this year, therefore you can't complain that much. With two exceptions you named above (Jones,Blind).
Dortmund is always done pretty early to escape the usual fuckery, but the whole Dembele saga forced us to react again.

He was linked with City a lot last summer. Rumors that his people talked to them.

You're quite stacked on the wings/AM right? Shinji, Gutze, Reus, Schurrle, Pulisic, Yarmolenko... that Isak guy too?
