By Hitch Go To PostHad no idea that was a ruleI had some idea because I've seen it in #FM.
Could surely be circumvented
My "penalty" in the game was a £600k fine lol, but it could also be deducted points if I didn't fix it before the end of the season.

Our wages grew too fast.
By n8 dogg Go To PostWonder if only Swansea get that optionI would imagine so. If he has a good season with us then 28 million buy option would be a fucking steal given the crazyness in the transfer market at the moment. Seems Clements contacts at Bayern have done us good.

Doubt it
Alderweireld v Southampton (2015)
How the mighty have fallen. From golden boy with the possibility of a bright future at Bayern to playing for Swansea in just a year.
By Auto Simeone Go To PostWe sold our only top prospect to a rival. Dissolve the club.what about iwobi future balloon of gold
We really need to abandon that fucking flat wage structure.
The lack of foresight and planning at this fucking club is astounding. It is almost like it's too much for one man to handle.

Gibbs will always be an Arsenal legend for that goal line clearance in the 2014 FA Cup when we were down 2-0.

Wenger strung him along telling him he would play central midfield
But getting £35 million for a squad player that hasn't improved in 6 years
swings and roundabouts

Seems like Jardin the only obstacle between us and Lemar. Will be interesting to see if he can be convinced to sell between now and the deadline.
we ran out of money while at the same time making a profit

I remember people laughing about the Mane transfer a year ago, too. Ox just needs to learn when and how to press and work on his effectiveness.

Mane went straight into the starting 11.
Will Ox?

Absolutely brutal dose of reality.
By Wengward Go To PostThen how are City and United getting around that?

I wanted United to sign him in the summer of 2015 and 2016. He was very good at Southampton.

They have CL money.
And Cities wages have come down over the past couple years.
By Hitch Go To PostCL moneyAnd commercial growth.
And United at least cut about £500k off the wage bill this summer.
Also, we rich. Actual rich.
By Plasma Go To PostI thought the CL revenue wasn't that much compared to the PL tv money anyway.
Read this.

Our commercial deals became shit the day after we signed them.

I don't believe for a second this no more money line btw.
There's a reason it's rearing its head on August 30.
Arsenal have money, they just don't want to spend it. Like always

The problem is we don't have room to offer huge wages unless we clear out more deadwood. And Wenger is probably saving some room in our wage structure hoping Sanchez and Ozil extend.
There were articles about this at the beginning of the summer but I think people expected we'd get rid of more players (Theo, Perez, Chambers, Debuchy) to free up wages.
If the rules are prohibiting us from spending more money that is poor planning from us.
Have to respect the Ox of getting his dream move for half the money.
2 players choosing Pool ahead of Chelsea tho. Incredible.

I'm not fussed about replacing Chamberlain (Just promote Reiss-Nelson and play Kolasinac at LWB) but we've needed another CM for years now and still haven't got one.
