Also anger inducing, when you think that this is (in a way) how people, mostly women, are forced to live in certain countries in this day and age.
The rice was splendid by the way.
A few tweaks for the next time here and there, but generally it tasted great.
Well I've got enough to eat for the next days.

great show; although think the novel/show pulls from too many historical precedents too make it a direct analogue with how women from 'other' cultures live
there is a universality in its horror; pulling from (amongst the obvious) american puritanicalism, west german paranoia, argentinian general's child stealing, revolutionary french barbarity, circular tudor relationship frameworks etc etc
i also think its trite to label it as sci-fi; its both a subtle reflection on everyday power dynamics and a not so subtle sledgehammer about the normalised shiteness about how women are viewed/treated/acted upon
killer fucking fashion mind
everyone looks so fucking sharp.
By Freewheelin Go To PostBack up for £35/40m tho? Really?
Yes? 40m isn't much in the current market
Not fussed about losing Oxlade-Chamberlain for £40m.
Not good enough.
Everything else going on though..

I think this sums up my biggest problem with the Handmaid's Tale; by framing its politics within a dystopia, it creates an artificial barrier between its politics and the world we live in (i.e. it's on the way, but not here yet) inherent in any dystopia when I just don't find that to be a particularly credible argument.
Never watched the show, though.

I mean, the key is to offer a player Arsene wants...
By n8 dogg Go To Postlacazette famLaca is not back up tho.
Wenger did the same shit with Sanchez when he first signed. Benched him against Tottenham.
Confident Lacazette will be our starter up top.

By Elchele Go To PostI am. Let's hope Schick continues to be too. #toosoon #toomuch
Zabo are you alive
It'll be interesting to see what Di Francesco does with him. Unless he changes Roma's base formation, Schick can only be Dzeko's backup.
If Coutinho goes for 160m I am done with modern football and will be selecting a team in League One to support. Open to suggestions.

Do it.

Bradford. Linett will be delighted

All for selling him to City if it means we get Sterling in exchange but just a cash deal on its own won't do us any good though because there's no way we find another replacement in time.
If we sell Ox and Sanchez and don't bring in a replacement it means we are going to see a lot more Theo and Danny.
Tomorrow is the day Sanchez has requested off from international duty so presumably if things can be concluded Tomorrow, Arsenal have time on deadline day to make a deal or two happen. If Wenger wants

By OneTwoTee Go To PostHello KP
How are you enjoying the Pellegrino era so far?
He tried to play 3-5-2 and we lost to Wolves reserves.
He seems a basic bitch
By Wengward Go To PostYes! Hopefully!
With VVD going the other way.
He has the Arsenal character. He'll fit in well.

70m and it is a deal.
Come December I want a midfield trio of the three L to break lower table teams at home:
