By sohois Go To PostHe seems to have played mostly as a LW but with a good number of appearances in a central position and a handful of RW appearances.Sounds like the perfect Coutinho replacement then

By inky Go To PostIsn't VVD in the van right now? You thinking Lemar on top, with Keita just announced? Are you FSG or PSG?Nope, they've switched him to the ice-cream truck.
Liverpool are acting like a team on the verge. Arsenal are acting like a team on the slide.
Interesting to see how this turns out.

By Lego Go To PostIn my head, he takes Wijnaldum's spot.Wijnaldum's current spot, or the one he'll presumably move back to when coutinho/Lallana are available?
That's assuming he can displace Can, or Can can displace Henderson
By Wengward Go To PostIf Liverpool get in VVD and Lemar I could see them selling Coutinho.Yeah, don't think anyone would complain either
There'd be a day of 'lol FSG said they wouldn't sell him' but it'd be good business
By Hitch Go To PostWijnaldum's current spot, or the one he'll presumably move back to when coutinho/Lallana are available?Like a left CM in a midfield 3, it's not the position he's been playing, but I think Klopp could use him there.

I think Coutinho will be gone if you're signing Lemar, and Lallana could be rotated in and out.
I don't think Lemar would be in the first XI with everyone available and fit. Midfield would be Coutinho-Henderson-Can, I just don't see Liverpool starting 2 of Coutinho/Lallana/Lemar in a central midfield because it would be too unbalanced. But with the rotation that Klopp has shown so far I'm guessing you'll consistently see one of Mane/Salah/Cout/Lemar switched onto the bench to keep them all fit.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostAlan Hansen was always right about Theo lacking a footballing brain.Boy is dumb as rocks.
He is instinctive, but slow the game down and it gets away from him.
By Wengward Go To PostIf Liverpool get in VVD and Lemar I could see them selling Coutinho.Sunday pretty much cemented that they don't need him. Sell him and pick up Lemar/Draxler and VVD.
By Hitch Go To PostAnyone got a link to the Mitrovic elbow, can't find footage
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostElliot loaned Milan the money to make money. You don't let someone pay back a loan early without financial penalties, otherwise you don't make any money.
Hopefully, Paddy C keeps up the goalscoring and shows a good overall game.
I mean obviously interests are gonna get paid... thats how it works, unless theres something in the contract in the context of penalties for paying early, still, Im guessing you dont know that and if the chinese pay the debt (yes, including the interests generated) thats it.
By inky Go To PostI pinned you for champs that season too. TBF that was before deadline day, I just thought Cech was a big piece of a larger title puzzle.
I still think losing the league to leicester (and tottenham i suppose) really broke the faith of a lot of the players on the squad. We could have had it if we'd had a decent transfer window and given more cover to our CM besides fucking flamini. What a mess that was.
We are such a long term mess from Wenger's dogshit wage and man management. It'll take us at least 3-4 years to recover after he goes.
By Wengward Go To PostSo what about that is untrue?I don't believe we actually have that much, Ornstein reports what tidbits the club give him.
Ornstein doesn't spend the money. He reported how much is available. If Wenger doesn't want to spend it, not sure how the discredits Ornstein.
By Plasma Go To PostI don't believe we actually have that much, Ornstein reports what tidbits the club give him.
We likely have more than that.
lanzini is a fucking dwarf, any instinctive shoulder barge would come across as an elbow of death to the little chihuahua
By Wengward Go To PostWe likely have more than that.This. I just can't buy the narrative that we're skint. It doesn't match what we're seeing among other teams in the league.
Will be livid if we sell Coutinho without Lemar either being done, or being close enough that it'd be a cunt move for Monaco to change the terms
Talk from some of the itks who were correct about Keita, and other stuff this summer - €160m agreed for Coutinho, but only once we get our targets - as so to not to drive prices up.
For the record I don't think we're skint I just doubt 150m was made available especially with Wenger deadset earlier on in the window on keeping Chamberlain, Sanchez and Ozil for the season.

If he isn't starting game in, game out then Jurgen is off his rocker.
The reason why Arsenal is such a poorly run club is our insistence on holding on to cash. In football pure cash is the worst asset you can have it really is. For example 100m last year gets you Pogba this year it only gets you 75% of Dembele. Swelling our cash reserves year in year out is such a shortsighted effort. Sure there's the chance you might buy a dud of a player but the risk is worth it.

By Punished Go To PostLike all Twitter ITKs, he's got a pretty iffy record, not that it would be a big surprise if the move happened.

That changing of the ACoN schedule could not have been better timed for us
Losing Matip*, Mane, Keita and Salah at the same time would have been awful. Would be nice if we could sign an African striker so we'd have the Kite Of Africa in our formation.
*would presumably be suspended every time while Cameroon's manager is in charge

Completely agree. Whoever is in charge of transfers at Arsenal has a really bad read on the market. I feel like they (Wenger?) have been waiting a decade for the bubble to burst, not recognizing that the revenue just keeps increasing every year and the vanity projects like PSG have an endless well of money to spend
