By Plasma Go To PostEvans is going to snub us for City from the sounds of it.
Fine. Switch Mustafi for Evans.
Still 6th.
By Wengward Go To Post80m for a player with 1 year left on his deal?
Nobody is paying that.
I'm old fashioned and base it off pure talent m7
I think arsenal would be mental to sell for less than 70 even with the contract issue. How can 40-50m mean that much to them at this point?
Remember Odegaard? Just watched a few highlights of him, kids been developing pretty well. Looks a lot more comfortable with his role in the team; carries the ball well, slices passes, dribbles, turns and makes quick runs, etc.
Would be nice to loan him to Espanyol or Alaves next season.

By Fergie Go To PostSterling's overall game is pretty good. But has a tenacity to shit his pants when in front of a goal.If he can cross or pass accurately that is already better than garbage we have now.
Still, he's been pretty good for City since this season started, so surprised if it's true.
Think Arsenal will keep Sanchez imo.

What does 20m mean if we get a good player in return?
Even with Sanchez I think we are unlikely to get top 4.

The Milan financial debate still going strong, I see.
I think Fassone's recent interview with The Guardian said it all, really. Milan went all in this summer. There's plan A and then there's plan B.
Plan A is "we hope to be playing in CL next season and we hope our owners come up with those 300M€".
Failing that, there's plan B, which is "sell Donnarumma and brace for the unknown / worst".
In both cases I'd say that the Milan fans dreaming of Andrea "100M€" Belotti should probably take a step back and reevaluate the situation.

If he was professional enough to conduct himself with class, I would be willing to keep him unless a big offer came in. However, if the past six months are to go by, he will act petulantly and make us look even more of a joke. So sell him for 40 and be done.
By Lego Go To PostDo City have enough homegrown players? If Sterling and Delph were to leave? At the moment City have 14 foreign players plus Jesus (who I believe does not need to be registered). Thry also have Bony, Mangala and Denayer but I assume they won't be included. So if they got rid of Sterling and Delphi they'd have 16 foreign players and 2 homegrown I believe. They can do it, main risk is having a small squad when 3 of those spots are Kompany, Gundogan and Aguero.

I don't understand why you are so upset about him being upset about losing.
We need more players like him in the squad.

By Wengward Go To PostFine. Switch Mustafi for Evans.I bet we let Mustafi go even if we don't get a replacement and then just play Monreal there.

Being upset about losing is one thing, but he has several times looked like he is laughing at the team when he is subbed off, and posted his cryptic messages.

Ornstein says we are only letting Mustafi go if we have a replacement.
I trust him.

I do hope we can figure out a way to keep Sancho.. if we did get rid of Sterling (god forbid), then he'd at least have one less young player ahead of him in the pecking order which could potentially help.

It is just Spanish mate, nothing cryptic about it.

By Plasma Go To PostOrnstein said we had 150m to spend this summer and so far we've made an 11m profit.
So what about that is untrue?
Ornstein doesn't spend the money. He reported how much is available. If Wenger doesn't want to spend it, not sure how the discredits Ornstein.

Do you think the reluctance to spend comes from Wenger rather than Kroekne/ownership at this point? (or both?)
Come to think of it, I don't think our squad was in such a shit state like Arsenal's is this season.
By jtb Go To PostDo you think the reluctance to spend comes from Wenger rather than Kroekne/ownership at this point? (or both?)
Both, but primarily Wenger. He is too scared to pull the trigger and is always waiting for better players to become available.
The Ozil transfer convinced him a deal like that is always possible.

And in the end there is little sign that City are actually going to get rid of Delph and Sterling
By Wengward Go To PostIt is just Spanish mate, nothing cryptic about it.Literally all Spanish and South Americans behave like this. No need to shit on their culture Shanks tsk tsk.
I'm curious what deals Arsene has lined up for the last few days here. Surely there are gonna be people coming in, with Mustafi, Ox and potentially Sanchez leaving.

By Oddinho Go To PostI'm curious what deals Arsene has lined up for the last few days here. Surely there are gonna be people coming in, with Mustafi, Ox and potentially Sanchez leaving. They'd have to spend a premium then.
Imagine bidding for three players that's good enough to challenge for a top 4 in 2 days.

Never forget that summer after we won the FA cup and only bought Cech. Hilarious
By Wengward Go To PostMy gut is Mustafi stays. Ox to Chelsea and Sanchez to City.I think you'll get at least 1 in, but it will be a smaller, out of left field sign.
No players in.
I fucking hope we are back in for Lemar. Just sell Sanchez and drop a huge bid. If we don't get him this summer we never are.
By Esch Go To PostNever forget that summer after we won the FA cup and only bought Cech. HilariousI pinned you for champs that season too. TBF that was before deadline day, I just thought Cech was a big piece of a larger title puzzle.

My shot in the dark signing for Arsenal is Draxler in on the last day
I think Liverpool sign Lemar. Too much smoke there, reports of ongoing negotiations and the player keen to move.

By Oddinho Go To PostI think Liverpool sign Lemar. Too much smoke there, reports of ongoing negotiations and the player keen to move.Isn't VVD in the van right now? You thinking Lemar on top, with Keita just announced? Are you FSG or PSG?
Let's just throw away the season and go all in on Griezmann next summer. Still has a 100m release clause, right?
By Hitch Go To PostIs Lemar versatile? He seems to have played mostly as a LW but with a good number of appearances in a central position and a handful of RW appearances.
Sure I've seen him reported as a CAM, CM and winger across the last few months
