By Wengward Go To PostNo, what you are advocating is very different.
But now you are changing it to "well Wenger already does this"
I have never been advocating for this. My point has only been that there is a huge unseen risk due to the inherent moral hazard of the situation. I don't want Sanchez to get screwed and for this to be the last we see of a genuinely great player.
By Wengward Go To PostSo what Chelsea has done for the past 10 years…
Fair enough lol
the other two don;t have an Italian manager ;p
I don't know what's worse, these transfer rumors or JTB demanding the blood of alexis served in the skulls of his dogs.

Liverpool fans
I'd take Sterling for Sanchez.
We aren't going to be competitive the next two seasons. We aren't going to get 4th. And even if we do, who cares?
Just want to see some nice goals and a few nice counter attacks over the next two years. Make me smile again. Sterling could be fun.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostThat's a pretty quick change of mind by Wengward.I was about to say lol
I am so done with this British core bullshit. the players didn't want to leave because they were foreign, they wanted to leave because they were tired of finishing 4th every fucking year. well, glad that problem's finally solved.
now, we just have a bunch of players who are content finishing 4th. ~progress~

My preference would be to take the cash and get Lemar, but I imagine he'd chose Liverpool over us at this point.
By jtb Go To PostI am so done with this British core bullshit.
It was like 4 years ago lol. I hope you are.
Our british core is the biggest concetration of shit players in a square metre.
All of them are absolute garbage.
All of them are absolute garbage.
Sanchez, Chamberlain, Mustafi and Gibbs out. Draxler, Sterling and a CB in whilst promoting Nelson. I'd be fine with that. Games might still be interesting. There's only 2 and half days left so not holding my breath,
By Esch Go To Postif we're going to embarrass ourselves we should at least do it for a good player. saneyeah, Sane + Laca would be incredible.
Although seriously, Sterling is a good alternate. He's a quick runner who actually makes good decisions on the ball.
By n8 dogg Go To Postyo giving them money to take sanchez 💀💀💀💀
This transfer window is nuts
What do you think Sterling is worth?
By Wengward Go To PostIt was like 4 years ago lol. I hope you are.
I'm not ready for round two :(
Whatever.
Sterling would be fine though. It's better than nothing.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostYou don't loan someone 300 million and then let them get out of it easy.
Yeah, I read a bit. I have nothing but love for him. He was a bit of a cunt at the end, but I think that comes with the personality.
He doesn't deserve insults.
I hope he has a great year with Milan with the WC coming up.
I asked earlier to Milan fans, how good is the boy Patrick gonna be? Only seen his goals, so don't know his overall play level.
Getting out easy = Paying the debt? lol, I'm not expert but I think thats how things work Shanks
And yes, I understand the animosity towards Bonucci but the insults and traitor calls are not justified. Its not like Pirlo who piss all over Milan when he left lol.
Patrick looks good, in my opinion too early to really tell but he has the potential to be a great striker, 4 goals in 6 matches is a good statistic to have at his age. Undoubtly the starter striker over Silva and Kalinic as of now and for cheaper than these two. Lets hope he can fulfill his potential.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostCelta dropping the cash on Emre Mor… Which BTW, whatever happened with him? Heard he's got a really shitty attitude? He just didn't get further down the road with his development. He didn't invest enough and barely worked on his weakpoints (tactical behaviour, passing, general overview, defending, making a choice).
We tried to give him enough time due the preseason and it looks like neither our coach was happy, nor did he think that he was gonna get enough time.
It's sad, because he got the talent to be absolute class, but sometimes you'll have to accept that it isn't working out. Celta looks like a decent choice for him, if he keeps his attitude in check and focuses on the task ahead. Changing his agent was an important step, his former agent was a fucking clown.
It is hard to know the level of the British core.
Imagine in your youth, the years that will shape your footballing career, you only knew Wenger.
You only have to look how someone like Bellerin has also never pushed on.

By Wengward Go To PostWelbeck, Jack, Sterling, Holding, Chambers, Theo.Imagine an English team centered around Arsenal players.
The new British Core.
Just as bad as the original.

Elliot loaned Milan the money to make money. You don't let someone pay back a loan early without financial penalties, otherwise you don't make any money.
Hopefully, Paddy C keeps up the goalscoring and shows a good overall game.
By Baconsaurus Go To PostIsn't Sterling on something like 180k a week?
He'd get a nice little raise at Arsenal.
As someone who has been saying Sterling is shit ever since Hitch first compared him to Berardi, I don't know what I would do with myself.
Straight up, Sterling would probably be about a £70-75m player in this market due to his age and nationality. If something like this came off, I would bet Arsenal would probably pay £20m + Alexis.
But it won't.
But it won't.

I would never go around calling young Italians the best in the world and shitting on everyone else who shows promise :p

I agree. I don't think it is that crazy that if we want Sterling we'd have to pay a bit on top of Alexis.

In this market? 65-70? sanchez probably 80 or so.
By n8 dogg Go To PostIn this market? 65-70? sanchez probably 80 or so.
80m for a player with 1 year left on his deal?
Nobody is paying that.
Sterling's overall game is pretty good. But has a tenacity to shit his pants when in front of a goal.
Still, he's been pretty good for City since this season started, so surprised if it's true.
Think Arsenal will keep Sanchez imo.

6th place.
