By Diavolo Go To PostOk, let me make myself clear, I have faith in the Italian Management the Chinese Management has hired, better? If you want names you can google them, and yes I do have confidence in them reviewing their resumes and past positions.
I have to tell you though, can't wait for the Juve match this season :D
And if you win, you will come back and say 'take that all you cunts chatting shit during the summer.' Great, lets have talk again in a couple years.
I know who they are, but it means jack shit if they are being fed lies.
Their whole strategy is China. How are these Italians gonna fair any better than every other club that has tried to crack China?
By sohois Go To PostEverything you need to know about Elliott's accomplishments are contained within their assets under management. A hedge fund wouldn't have that kind of money if they weren't good at what they do.
At worst, the fund is going to use their position to seize control of the club and then sell it on. A lot of people seem to think that investors only get involved with football clubs just to asset strip them, but why would any investor piss away their money like that when they can realise a vastly greater return from a successful club that grows in value?
I think we are talking about two different things. I know about Elliot, what I was talking about was the Chinese, who are the actual owners.
Elliot provided them with funds, but the Chinese have very little to back them up.
So little that an actual bank that sponsors Milan would not help them out lol.

Are they good at what they do? Fuck yes but ask BHP Billiton, Samsung, Nobel,Hitachi agree if Elliot is benefiting their company or Elliot themselves.
They are great at what they do at the expense of so much. Their history is asset stripping, there hasnt been one occasion I can think of when they have helped a company to "grow".
By Meier Go To PostSo funny hearing Joe so clearly. Just nonstop "Hold the line!" "De Bruyne free!" "Hold the fucking line!"Apparently they only sold 3k tickets and the stadium is empty, were giving them away free all day

By n8 dogg Go To PostStill need to watch this year's GOT out of curiosity. Will put it on while I exercise.First few episodes have been absolutely fantastic. Looking set to be the best season yet.
By Meier Go To PostIf you're being serious, Joe Hart.Lol of course I was. Wondered who the hell in City is Joe.

Curious to see it. Only really like the first season as a whole; there are excellent episodes/moments since but I think they're pretty few and far between overall from what I've seen (admittedly, not every single episode since around S3/4). The last 2 of S6 arguably two of their best though.
By sohois Go To PostThey're very active on boards but I fail to see how any of their actions could be described as asset stripping
They want Samsung to break up and sell profitable sections of their business... because short term profits, they want to strip BHP Billiton of its Shale business even as oil prices are falling they have no interest in it because it's a long game and they cant return their 31% next year. Nobel the owners well within their right have rejected and being taken to court of it because its the price reflects short term profits.
I mean that is their MO... they're a hedge fund that specialises in identifying opportunities of buying companies with serious debt burdens. Buying that debt at a fraction of the price then proceeding in the following years selling the companies assets....
GoT used to be an event for my friends and I.... People bringing food and drink, other party supplies and we'd just watch and get ripped. Now its almost a chore and I haven't seen the last 2 episodes and our parties are becoming lame.

Apparently some people are complaining about it going to fast but the pace has been perfect IMO. And Euron Greyjoy has been a very good villain -- he's basically a rock star and just loving his life. Makes for fun viewing.
By Gurthang Go To PostDanilo is killing it at Man CityI knew he would.
Way too much pressure on him at Madrid, his confidence was dog shit. Plus, how can he compete with Carvajal?
City offers him a fresh start, something he needed badly.
Bein Sports to cover the Turkish Super Lig this year, heh I'll be.
May actually tune in for the Fener / Besiktas / Gala derbies.

I dont know why Diavolo thinks it's concern-trolling for questioning the AC Milan transfer.
It's normal. Like people questioning Chelsea's youth loan setup, Barcelona's board decisions, and Manchester United's choice of sponsorships.

"the practice of taking over a company in financial difficulties and selling each of its assets separately at a profit without regard for the company's future"
I mean, selling parts of the business with no regard for the future is EXACTLY what they do.
The seized a cargo ship going to Argentina because they owed them money.

Sounds like he's a worse player now but would probably be just as expensive. And everyone knows United are waiting until the end of the window to try and get him.
