Yeah, there are some papers that cant be trusted with rumors but there are some journalists with sources everywhere.

Like when it was leaked that Costa had a bust with Conte in January. Chelsea managed to cover it up but we learnt that was true at the end of the season when both insinuated to it in interviews.

There are times when other sources than the club's tier 1 journalists could be closer to the truth, especially when it comes to clubs like Chelsea, United, and City who give out 'approved' leaks to further obfuscate what really went on.

There just seem to be fewer and fewer outlets that can break a real story without it being confirmed by multiple other outlets.

Chelsea in contact with Tuchel news yesterday was a nothing story that no one ran with but it was out there. Obviously garbage.

Neymar to PSG was picked up by everyone and within days we knew it was on the path to actually happening.

These one off stories, like Castles with Lemar today, are clearly garbage but gets people talking and that's all that matters now days.

The biggest offenders are not the ITKs or transfers want-to-bes. It's the SB Nation blogger types that just lie and make up stories to remain relevant and get away with it because no one is there to challenge or call them out for their bullshit.
