By Grizzled Cola Go To PostPeak Rooney there, peak, gif itI was drinking and choked when that happened. Water all over my desk.
By Xpike Go To Postimagine trading Lukaku for RooneySandro looks terrible too in the 2 games ive seen
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI loved the hell out of Rooney when I was a kid, but I wonder why commentators cant understand he's a shadow of a player he has been.
they do. i just don't think they're allowed to talk bad about an england captain & legend. these talking heads get their points delivered to them in large part.
When it comes to English pundits and Rooney, there is an almost Orwellian drive to dress up his every pass as something that only Rooney can do.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostSo how long until Koeman drops Rooney.
He'll have to play him a bit like Mou did to make it look like he tried. 3 months.
By DBT85 Go To PostHe'll have to play him a bit like Mou did to make it look like he tried. 3 months.Mous managing of it was pretty perfect, enough rope to hang himself then no-one could complain, not even Rooney
Barca are fucked for the short term. There's no combination of players they can get with that money who'll offer quite as much to the team as Neymar. Messi and Suarez are in their thirties now. They're good enough that their skills will compensate for a decrease in athleticism for a while. But a new forward line will be needed. Neymar would have led that.
By Grizzled Cola Go To PostMous managing of it was pretty perfect, enough rope to hang himself then no-one could complain, not even RooneyYep. Said everything right publicly so that nobody could get pissy about it and just stopped giving him minutes. Sucha stark difference after Gaals "my captain must play" bollocks.
Mourinho should have benched him from the start, you were already well out of the running for the title and on the back foot for top 4 (iirc) when he dropped him
Honestly think Mourinho is a big enough personality that he shouldn't have played the 'give him enough rope, keep the media happy' game. The results would have spoken for themselves.

They're not fucked because they're losing Neymar. Messi, Suarez and whoever they bring in (not that important) can more than handle the attacking responsibilities of the team.
They're going to struggle because of their ageing, (relatively) average midfield.
They need a Veratti way more than they need another Neymar.

The biggest hitter of FUT Live was the reveal of the all new Icons Stories which will see three card variants of each Icon based around the most significant moments of their illustrious career’s. With one standout “Prime” version of each Icon set to be released at intervals throughout the season. The different Icons will also have their own unique in-game appearance based on how they looked at that point in time – a very nice touch.

Also he probably felt that him going after getting his record breaking goal would make his life easier too. Probably didn't expect it to take so fucking long to get there though.

Rooney took 270 minutes to score each of his 7 United goals last year.

I'm actually fucking choking.
By Hitch Go To PostWill it play well though? No but I can get fun out of it being shit for a while, also fut is more than playing its also trading.
no
With that money Barca should be more than able to rejuvenate the areas in their squad that are most in need of it. Verratti seems a lost cause but surely there are plenty of other more realistic options. Why are they not in for Seri?
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostUnderrated marketing right here.

By Willkiller Go To PostThey're not fucked because they're losing Neymar. Messi, Suarez and whoever they bring in (not that important) can more than handle the attacking responsibilities of the team. You can compensate for an average midfield so long as you have a good enough front line. But Messi and Suarez are in their 30's now and won't be around forever. Neymar would have been Barcelona's leader in a few years time. He's only 25 and would've given Barca 7 or 8 years more of his best football. After Messi he's the player they can least afford to lose.

Wonder what it'll mean for next summer
Don't expect it to have a huge impact this month for anyone other than Barca and the clubs they'll be buying from, but it could maybe cause a huge spike in transfer fees next year
Hopefully its an outlier, starting to feel like those non-football fans who do nothing but moan about how much money is in the game.

He's a big loss, don't get me wrong. But to say that they're fucked because he's gone just isn't true. Even with Neymar out, their front line is still the least of their problems.
They need to invest that money into their midfield and defence.
By Willkiller Go To PostThey're not fucked because they're losing Neymar. In 4 years? Who knows. But in 4 years there will be players near or at his ability now, and you best believe Barcelona will have the financial pull to be able to get them.
