By Zabojnik Go To Postbut it hardly warrants such a petulant response and the consequent outpour of rage and Juve-bias accusations, just because she happens to suck Buffon's beautiful cock.I absolutely agree here.
I fail to see what irony there could be about me posting what I posted. If anyone has the big media on their side, it's Milan. Mediaset have been pushing Milan's agenda for the past 30 years. Clearly. Unequivocally. Galliani is Mediaset Premium's new president, ffs. I'm not saying that Milan should turn the other cheek, however I'd save the public indignation for another occasion, one that actually calls for it.The irony is that Juve are usually the ones seeing conspiracies everywhere. No scratch that, everybody on the peninsula are seeing conspiracies everywhere. Milanfans are no exception.
Barca should just spend the money on Insigne.
When you combine the best attacking player in Italy an Spain.
Oh my, it will finally be like seeing Totti and Fantantonio again.

I can't think of anyone who can come close to replacing Iniesta really. Might be time for Barca to think about a change in formation.

Barca don't need an Inesta replacement, they still need to replace Xavi.
They can find an Inesta, but it still won't change their fortunes.
You don't win shit with Iniestas.

Following rumours that Barcelona decided to sign Jean-Micheal Seri because so many of the club’s fans kept mentioning him on social media, Arsenal supporters have been doing their best to make the Catalan giants aware of Theo Walcott.

Gonna repeat it again, Romagnoli will be the best Italian CB for the next decade learning next to Bon Bon.

Idiots, should be offering him to L1 clubs.
Knock the ball past an opponent and run on to it.
He would be a 30 goal a season man.

He will probably never play a game. Adequate emergency keepe I suppose.

One week of mercato left and we're still without a RB that I'd feel comfortable putting in our starting XI.
Spinazzola might work, if we manage to convince Atalanta to let him go, but there are no guarantees. He's really more of a winger than a RB, like Conti, and used to playing on the other side, despite being right-legged. Starting the season with De Sciglio and Lichtsteiner would be tragic.
Might as well try and convert (back) Cuadrado.

All banter aside, the Barca downfall is so exaggerated. They have Messi, Suarez and a semi-capable midfield. They'll be more than fine and compete with the best to come this season. If they land Dembele and fix their midfield issues then they're favourites to win almost every match IMO.

The difference between Rakitic and Modric is the difference between finishing third and first, the difference between getting to the CL quarters and winning the final. And that difference is there in many positions now. Centreback, both fullbacks, DM, CM, and in two of the attacking positions. Not seen much to suggest that Ter Stegen is brilliant either, think you could both improve there though it isn't vital.

However, at its core this is still the same team give or take that won the treble not so long ago. Alves is replaceable, they just need to adjust for the loss of Neymar and an ageing Iniesta... Which they can, they have Messi and Suarez, it can't be too hard to find someone that'll provide half the goals/assist that Neymar did, given the war chest they currently posses, just spend it.
Midfield is tough though, Modric/Kroos/Casemiro/Isco is undisputed right now.
Still, it's not all doom and gloom, they'll make it out of this and compete until the end. I would not be surprised if they won trophies, there are not many teams that can comfortably say they're better even with their current form.
I think its made to seem worse than it is because its Madrid who have taken the spot vacated by Barca and for a couple of years, Bayern
That must stick in the craw, especially while Messi is still playing at his best. Guessing they expected a decline to come when his does, but events have conspired unexpectedly. You can somewhat anticipate a change at board level leading to a downturn in smart transfer business, but its coincided with Busquets playing like shit, Iniesta declining, Alba being injured all the time, not even trying to bring an Alves replacement in, and a paucity of good La Masia graduates

Isco, Asensio, Marcelo, Carvajal and Varane are set to extend their contracts. Zidane just renewed as well (didn't even ask for a raise). Ronaldo, Bale, Kroos and Modric renewed last season.
Asensio is set to get a 500m+ release clause. The only player that's now missing in all this is Kovacic (whose contract expires in 2021 anyways).

Barca have plenty of great players still, but none on the right side of 27. Messi, Suarez, Iniesta, Busquets, Pique, Rakitic, Mascherano; any one of those could find their career finished within the next 2 years (of course some of them could easily have another 5 years of being world class as well). And where are the players in their prime ready to step up? Ter Stegen is literally the only one. None of their younger lads looks remotely like being a new world class talent. I'm not saying that Umtiti, Gomes, Digne, etc. are bad players or that they cannot become world class, just that you wouldn't bet on them breaking out.
Their famed academy is also not producing any great talents. this in a way is to be expected, since no academy can just be a stream of world class players, but it is another source denied to the club.
Their current transfer strategy looks to be a complete disaster. Since 10/11, they've had 5 real successful transfers, one of whom was Neymar, and that's it. There has been a ton of crap and there is no sign that they are going to turn it around; it seems likely that they need a clear out of management.
But unless they get Guardiola back, there is no individual who can lead such a thing. Their manager lineup is just a carousel of company men who lead the team but have no say on strategy or any long term planning. At board level there is a parade of crooks and morons and the whole thing is a squabble for individual power, no one who thinks of being more than a club.
Financially, they will always be fine due to the joke league setup and massive support base, but in the short term their massive debt will further hinder their transfer efforts.
Even with all that, it's unlikely that Barca's downfall will even be to the level of a Man Utd, due to the aforementioned joke league meaning they're always going to be 2nd or 3rd and in the CL. But at this point the prospect of league titles and CLs looks like it will take 3-4 years of rebuilding, a disaster for a club like Barca. Unless Messi drags them to success singlehandedly, you're looking at a barren period.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostHow is Zidane going to tailor the play around all those players at once?!He rotated the shit out of them last season
Made a wee bit easier by Bale and Benzema's injury/form issues, but he's done a brilliant job in that regard either way. Especially to keep Ronaldo happy starting a large number of league games on the bench. Not sure its a trick that can be repeated season after season, the likes of Isco will want to be starting every game soon enough I think. Maybe they'll be happy as long as they're playing a decent amount and winning things though.

Zidane is adopting a possession style play in addition to our amazing counter attacks. Meaning, more squad members will play depending on the style Zidane fields.
