I don't even think its about Honor. Those kids are easier to control than some new uppity house that's never had power before.
I would love it if Cersei* ends up winning the war and ruling a hollow kingdom with no one by her side.
and then the White Walkers kill everybody and the show ends. You guys were too busy fighting each other that you forgot all about us eh
A nice bit of social commentary, with the White Walkers being global warming and Jon Snow being Al Gore.

By Fenderputty Go To PostSome thoughts.
Arya is a borderline psychotic in her revenge quest, but she clearly still has a moral compass. Something I was wondering about. I thought she was going to murder those Lanister soldiers she came upon and laughed at her honesty.
Time travel shenanigans involved in getting Euron his fleet is pretty hilarious. They try to play it off like only his best ships were stolen, but there was that whole speech about building him a fleet at the end of last season so lol whatever. I'm curious what he thinks will be a worthy gift of trust for Cersei. Tyrion? A way to control Dragons?
Sansa has been molded and shaped for the politics King's Landing and Westeros in general. John is still all about being that honorable man that got him killed the first time.
Jamie sees what's coming. He sees the crazed look on his love sisters face and knows winter don't give a fuck.
How many episodes until John and Danny bone?
a fucking dragon's head i hope.
it's gotta be something to make Euron look like a legit monster heel. otherwise he looks tame in comparison to Dany's whole wave and Jon.

She's smarter than Jon. Are we forgetting how she tried to warm him about Ramsey last season? Jon is a well intentioned idiot hot head.

This was before Sansa learned the ways and still got butterflies in her tummy over King Joffers. Though a valid point non the less I suppose. Just give the tites to Arya.
By Fenderputty Go To PostThis was before Sansa learned the ways and still got butterflies in her tummy over King Joffers. Though a valid point non the less I suppose. Just give the tites to Arya. What ways? She pops shit to a 12 year old that's still breastfed then gets shit on in an open forum by a 8 year old lol.
Everybody thought she had Ramsey sized up from that dinner table exchange and we saw how that ended. 😶
Only thing she got going for her is the fact that everyone thinks Arya is dead
I mean ... she popped shit to the 12 year old before she learned her ways. That was part of her story. She now trusts nobody and had Ramsey pegged far better than anyone else had. She rightfully suspects little finger but keeps him around because she realizes his importance. The entirety of Westeros would be overcome by white walkers had Ramsey won and Sansa not shown up with the Knights of the Vails to help her Valiant Moron of a brother.
She might not be all that, but you're not giving her enough credit IMO. Jon too much as a result
She was also correct in the last episode. Jon assumes winter and distance will keep Cersei from seeking his knee. Sansa knows Cersei gives no fucks and apparently so does Jamie.

trusting no one almost got Jon killed and he's being realllll cool about her withholding info about the Vale and Rickon being screwed. She got the nerve to compare him to Joffrey too? gurrrrl
She couldn't even send up the flare to Brienne lol. And everyone knew the Boltons were crazy. Littlefinger is her pimp. She doesn't keep him around, he keeps her around. If she wasn't Cat's daughter, Sansa would be busting it open on taco tuesdays for the boys.
I don't think Sansa has a single unassisted win.

Yeah she's been rather petty and untrusting regarding her decisions with Little Finger and what she tells Jon. That's true.
Everyone didn't know about the Boltons. Jon didn't and it almost cost the entirety of Westeros. Ramsey played Jon for the fool and would have won if it weren't for the Knights of the Vale. Ideally, Jon doesn't even need the Knights of the vale had he not rushed into battle after his brother who was as dead as dead can be.
Little finger was her pimp. They're both playing each other currently.
Anyway ... My main point that started this was that Jon didn't make that decision as a forward thinker. He made that decision because he felt it was the right thing to do.

When Jon has Bran by his side, Westeros is won. Brans the human trump card.

sansa is a truly shit character, and her acting is so so awful
it was pretty cringe when arya said she was going to kill the queen
the daenerys line at the end made me feel like I was watching some bottom of the barrel trash tv show
other than those moments I thought it was a solid first ep

I'm not giving the snowman credit, just yet. I'm still waiting to see how getting rid of his mage bites him in the ass later on. Fool had infinite 1ups during war time and felt bad about "cheating". I was sad to see the kid go too, but foh.

By Pennywise Go To PostIt's pretty sad how predictable the series has become.I blame Martin. I suspect many of these plot points are in his notes, most of them for over a quarter-century.
Much of the unpredictability of the previous books/seasons comes from the snarled sprawl of the whole thing. They're a consequence of Martin not knowing how to get precisely from Point A to Point B as he originally conceived of what was supposed to be a trilogy.
Now that the show's writers have overtaken the books and found themselves mired in his notes, they're in the same position as Martin, struggling to connect the dots, but without the luxury of Martin's I'll-ruminate-on-it-for-decades approach to drafting.
What you receive, as a consequence, is the show shifting from Martin's garrulous style to something far more direct and sanded down; and in the process not only does it feel quicker and more contrived, but it also finally allows those bits set up in the first book to come into focus.
This season more than any other is probably what George originally had in mind for the second and third books of his trilogy, for better or worse.
Btw I think the gift Euron spoke of is almost definitely going to be Tyrion. Killing Varys and swiping Tyrion would be the perfect way to leave Dany with shit strategists and no real understanding of Westeros. He's going to sail to the perimeter of dragon stone and go on a straight up solid snake mission and succeed.
Euron will probably get the equivalent to Ramsay's bullshit, "a few good men" and invincible Resident Evil dogs super powers. 😒
By Pennywise Go To PostIt's pretty sad how predictable the series has become.
I kinda suspected this would happen the closer we get to a resolution though. The story has shifted from mostly political intrigue to it's deeper purpose. A fantasy.
I wouldn't sell the story short. What should be an overwhelming victory for Dany likely won't be and nobody knows how or why that will be. People point to obvious endings like Cersei dead and Jon and Dany ruling together, and sure that's likely, but nearly everything else is an unknown. There's very little reason for Arya or Sansa to make it out alive, nor Tyrion, Brienne, Jaime and many others. The only clear cut endings seem to belong to Cersei, Jon and Dany.
And can Dany even have children?

By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthow long is it going to take the walkers to get to the fucking wall already btwIt's a magic wall that required a key to let them through. And now they have Bran.
They weren't shuffling in the general direction of the wall for 6 seasons. They were gathering their forces and waiting for an opportunity.

By Fenderputty Go To PostThey have Bran? Not physically. But just as the Night King's mark on Bran's arm allowed them to bypass the magic sealing them out of the Three-eyed Raven's cave, so, too, I suspect, it'll provide them access south of the wall.

This seems like a logical theory. This season is being broken into two (because who doesn't like money!) I kind of expect the season to end on the wall collapsing as a cliff hanger.
Not one compliment for the OP smh

Thank you for the OP s y. I didn't know that you did that much editing to the posters. I've stayed away from nearly all of the promotional materials.
Same .. I still haven't seen a trailer. If one comes on I close my eyes and start going "blah blah blah" real loud. They're all super spoilery.
